@LongDraw I had this happen again and holding the button did not work. What I am thinking happened previously is I had the battery out long enough for the delay you mentioned.

For the rest of you new TM owners, if you change out batteries and there is no response, remove the battery, wait for a bit (How long exactly TBD) and then re-insert the battery as @LongDraw advised.

I think the length of time is minutes, perhaps has something to do with the circuitry that prevents the TM from firing with a weak battery?

The unit definitely "resets" if you take the battery out for a little bit. I couldn't get my unit to fire up when I first got it, was like "ah, man" (MV1 flashbacks), but I realized two things: first click really fast to turn on, second if the device is confused by user error, take the battery out for a bit and try again!

I'm sorry to hear that @BestBuds - What can we do to help you regain your VAS?

As to 'reset' - Typically there is a hold-up capacitor in the circuit. You might be able to just crowbar the two battery terminals. That is to say just put a screwdriver between the contact in the bottom and the upper aluminum housing. That should discharge the capacitor if it on the input line, which it normally is.

It's also common to be able to just remove the battery and hold the power button for a moment to remove any capacitance in electronics.

I tried a medium grind with a large oven space and about 1/2 filled fluffy load, lots of space left for air movement. I began at 6 and finished on 8, the hits were slightly more airy, but cooler and I certainly didn't stir, but she roasted up nicely.

I'm going to try and expand I did with some variances and see where it goes. The largest advantage was a very even roast without a stir. I hear of others attainting this, but I have only with very small loads.

I too have been stalking this thread. I ended up pulling the trigger on the Mighty (S&B), even though I’m convinced an updated version is coming soon. The TM looks awesome, but the lack of USB-C and the little issues made me go to the tried and true Mighty.

FWIW despite the similar name they are not even in the same league honestly... This isn't really the place for a direct comparison though.

I’ve been watching the TM as I preferred the smaller size for better portability. No comparison made, except for nearly the same money I chose to buy the Mighty, another portable vaporizer I will be interested if the next version of the TM adds USB-C when I shop for a small portable in the future.

Sorry I wasn't chiding you, but merely stopping myself from explaining why I personally find the Mighty inferior overall ;) very different vapes!

@GhostLoads Can u explain to me why one does need a USB-C so badly in a single battery device,which also offers the ability to swap batteries and charge them externally? Decent chargers can charge 4 batteries for the time you will charge one inside a device. I think that the maximum charging current for a single battery is 2amps. How much current does the current USB allows vs the USB-C ,why would be such an upgrade ?
Also i've heard that most battery accidents happen while charging ,do you want it to be inside a wooden device that costs 250$ ? I would rather play it safe with an external charger,placed away from combustable materials.

No worries. Make no mistake, the TinyMight looks fantastic. I really want an ultraportable vape to have USB-C though.

USB-C for in the go charging. If the rest of one’s portable are in the type c ecosystem then it’s very convenient.

Even if you provide 5amps it wont charge any quicker. So i would really like to know how much amps the current usb type provides vs an USB-C,but i guess you dont have the answer ,maybe i will do some digging later. Also if anyone could pointout what version is the current USB on the tinymight ,that would be very helpful :) or maybe compare charging time inside the device vs in an external charged at 2 amps.

Would you consider yourself in the majority or minority with regard to USB-C adoption? I only ask because the opposite is true for me where an actual USB-C implementation would have me looking for an adapter. I have 5 cables throughout the house ready to plug in any and all USB charge devices I have except Arduino which is Mini-USB. I'm thinking USB-C as a standard adoption is still more than 4 years away for mass market consumer products. I hear you that the Micro-USB sucks on many levels but the world had accepted it and it will do 2 amp charge rates. Is this adoption going to happened sooner than that where my next gophone will have a USB-C implemented already? If that's the case, I need to upgrade my phone now :rolleyes:

@GhostLoads - okay, then indeed I understand your point. If the feature is available, why not be the latest tech. I won't be one to remove the cell for every charge so for me it is convenient. However, charge rates on Li-Ion cells is limited if that is what you're hoping. At 2 amps, the USB charger is already outperforming most available Li-Ion chargers. In the case of USB-C, the circuit would have to limit current so the charge rate is managed at a safe level.

I don’t have an answer as to the amps. My concern was with the connection type, for convenience, one cable type for all devices is incredible. I look forward to seeing more reviews.

My everyday addiction occasional carry devices are all USB-C. That’s why I really want my carry vape to be. I usually have a phone, iPad, and Nintendo Switch with me.

Fewer items incorporate micro-usb these days.

MicroUSB=dead, USB-C=Dying, bring on the wireless charging vapes!!!

Either way, I will still use my external chargers for 18650's. :tup:

usb-c allows up to 5A / 20V of power, which is an substantial upgrade to micro-usb which allows only 1.8A / 5V (the VTC6A included with the TM allow up to 5A charging power, however, 3A max is recommended, which is quite close to the 2A of a micro-usb, so...). But: to be able to just swap the batteries seems superior to any onboard charging method to me anyway – if I was king, the TM wouldn't have any usb port, but I do understand that this would limit the number of potential customers quite a bit.

I'm not sure how to check that, but the FAQ on the TM-website recommends using a 2A usb-adapter when charging internally.

Can you recommend a WPA for tinymight? I'll receive my TM in couple of weeks (hopefully) and It would be nice to have WPA for it. I'm also looking for the capsules that work with TM. Preferrably from European store.
