Cannabis Hardware (formerly NewVape) FlowerPot Twax Vaporizer

I'm looking at getting the Flowerpot but have some questions. Is there any real difference between the Auber and NW PID controller? Is one preferred over the other?

Also which is the best one for vaping just herb? Any way to rank these for just herb: Weedeater, showerhead, or vrod?

NV PID uses larger connectors, the theory is more current may flow, less resistance. It is difficult to adjust the temperature with the buttons provided, but otherwise does it's job. There is no auto shutoff.

The Auber requires you specify the Auber compatible coil from NewVape, especially if you are getting a VRod. If not getting the Vrod the 20mm coil Auber sells will do. There is a shutoff timer and the dial makes it very easy to change temperature. https://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45&products_id=484

I don't think so. Yes, those screw on connectors are supposed to be able to handle more current, but the fact is that the coils are either 100 or 150 watt in general and the PIDs can easily supply this level.

I don't know about the NV (VapeCode) PID, but with the Auber, if you have a 150 watt coil, you can change a setting to take advantage of its more robust capacity, feed it more current, and get up to temp just a bit quicker. If you have a 150 watt coil and don't change the setting, it just heats up a bit slower.

Also, the Auber doesn't require any specific coil....all it requires is a coil with the D-nail pin outs which, while not universal, are defacto standard except for vendors trying to lock you into their coils.

Now, of course....the VROD with its specific internal groove where the end of the coil nests...yes, absolutely right. Get the NV coil. But for SH, WE, or any other NV device, I believe that they are agnostic to coil.

Please...if I'm wrong, please correct me.

I do not put a lot of weight in the 'theory' and have no intent on taking sides on this very hot topic.

That just happened...
Newvape sells the aviation plug coils much cheaper then the xlr. For that reason I prefer them. :D

We are continuing to be hit hard with credit card fraud. It appears that we just lost another $3k bva press to Canada. Because of our industry there's absolutely no support from our merchant accounts regarding these matters. Until we can establish another reliable payment method we are forced to limit credit card (amount we are willing to lose) amounts to $250. I apologize for any inconvenience this may bring future newvape customers. Our fraud settings on our current credit card processing is set very aggressive. The billing address must be an exact match with what the issuing credit card company has on file or it won't go thru. Thank for the continued support. Happy New Year.

I’m so sorry to hear that this has continued and that you and NV suffered more losses.

Scumbags like this ruin it for everybody and only care about what they can steal.

If no CC for larger orders, what payment for larger purchases are still acceptable? Check my snail mail or ??

That is so unfortunate. There are some bad apples out there for sure.
I'm assuming no Paypal due to US law? If that's the case we need to get that changed.

Since I'm a child I've been told never under any circumstances to send money per mail. Mad world if some decades later this seems to be the most secure option :(

My Vrod is extremely loose at the head when fully assembled, is this normal? I can shake the handle and the whole thing rattles. My showerhead was really tight compared. Any tips for getting dark brown abv? Seems like it’s nearly light green with Vrod. Running at 650-680. I am thinking my screen is set too deep

It shouldn’t rattle imho.
It might need coil tightening.
I tend to tighten coils by hand, to avoid any scratching or potential damage, just my way.
Take your time, search online and at New Vape and other sites, best ways to tighten coils.
Good luck and enjoy a top heavy hitter desktop vape.

Capping the VROD, and heat soaking the bowl for a few seconds, will give you thicker hits at lower temperatures imho & experience.

@Rollingstoned when the coil is tighter in the VRod and making better contact you will see better heat transfer and should see different results. One question, is the coil in question from NewVape? If so you only need to spread the coil a bit.

I have heard of the coil tightening (spreading coils with a screwdriver). I just can’t believe how loose it is, extremely loose. Will try to separate the coils later and see what happens. Running the Auber controller, abv is still really light?? What the hell am I doing wrong... my showerhead would fully extract dark brown in 1 hit at 650. Does the Vrod run a little cooler the the SH?

Fix your coil fit first using a flathead screwdriver wrapped in cloth to protect the coil. Go slowly until you have a tight fit. Then dial in your temperature for there is no reason you should not get the same results.

Anyone know if the DNail nimbus dishes fit the VROD? And if they do how do they fit and perform?

These are only taller/deeper dishes. But i believe OD is exactly the same as Halo dishes so they should work. Has anyone else tried them yet?

Sorry to hear you guys are dealing with CC fraud. You need to find a payment processor that is actually going to work with you. Sadly, there's also the fact that it just comes with the territory of operating a business online. Even if you weren't selling vapes, they wouldn't always help you out. But you get more business than being a brick and mortar, so it's pro/con.

Things are going to happen sometimes, but it shouldn't affect the paying customers purchase experience. I mean you could always make people pay and pickup in person ;)

You make great products. but not many people want to deal with money orders in 2020. I am a huge NV proponent but wouldn't send a MO to anyone.

Got word from Dnail that the Nimbus dishes are same diameter as halo dishes so should fit fine. Thinking of pulling trigger on a nimbus sapphire dish.

The only problem i could see is potentially the carb cap not making an ideal seal.
