Concentrate device for daily use.

Looking for a device that can eliminate my needs for torching! I had a Dr. Dabber boost for a very short while. Less then 30 days before it went inop. I was happy with how it worked. Is there something that is built for daily use in mind similar? Or something way cooler I don't know about?

I need something that I can chill on the couch with and pass back and forth with the wife. I don't mind repacking between passes. Portability would be nice but not necessary on this purchase. Looking more for safer then a torch and built to last.

If you can get over your aversion to torches, it sounds like a Rio by Stashe would be perfect for your couch surfing. RIO put an end to my search for a portable rig. My 510 atomizers are collecting dust.

Stop into my local shop and came home with a puffco peak. Seem pretty good so far.

Sai or Sequoia I like the larger size of the Sequoia.
Top airflow with titanium bucket on a aegis x with the Poseidon bubbler.
Also like to stick a piece of whip in the mouthpiece to extend it when using it dry, mrs.arbs favorite manner of consumption.

Screw atomizers and electronic rigs. Tried too different ones and they taste like plastic to me, also seem to burn up concentrate like they get way too hot or something. They have all sorts of problems with the electronics or atomizers half the time it seems. An all glass pathway is what I miss from when I was smoking herb...

Yeah it would be nice to see some photos in here too, especially the specific setups.

I actually have good results using an RBT Splinter Z, at ~65 watts on my RXgen3Dual, using a steel mesh pad or ceramic flavor saver in a male to male wpa. Convection dabs can be pretty nice, but it's not the same of course... A lot of pure convection vapes can do it pretty effectively though!

I think I might have to grab a Rio someday though, I was thinking it would just grab a banger, but I like the idea of the integrated torch even though I can't use the glass rig I already have... Otherwise maybe I'll just end up with an enail in which case I should also get one of the herbal vapes that work with them? Should not have come in here lol

Sounds like you would be interested in a 510 style (ecig mod) vape. I have a Saionara with a titanium bucket and I can load it with quite a bit of concentrate and "sip" on it for even a whole day. It's on demand and temp controlled too, so you only need to fire when you are taking a draw.

I tried both the Kandypens Oura and Focus V carta. They both made my dab smell of plastic and taste that way as well. Thought it might be the dispensary but I tried a different dispensary concentrate and it was the same rubber taste. So that ruled out the dispensary. Then I tried some in my Volcano hybrid, same concentrate, different device. It was amazing, great flavor and taste and no rubber taste.

I guess an update is in order. Peak is in the box in the closet. The attys and charging got old quick. For at home use I'm using a disorderly conduction budget kit. Got the 710coil banger a ruby pearl for now. Got a sapphire and sic insert coming in next week to step it up to the next level.

Gonna try the volcano again for dabs.. Ok tried it with the same product and didn't get the nasty taste. It didn't have much of a taste at all, but it worked well. So the taste was obviously from the electronic dab rigs....

Yeah I feel like this may be my way as well ultimately, and if I get this it would go well with a supreme or elev8r kit too... Also that is a cool rig btw! I need some heady glass

hmmm thought also of buying a peak when have funds... I have the rio dabrig and it is great, but I have to get better timing for heat... sometimes I have the feeling it is too hot... and I am scorching my dabs... (user error... it has a learning curve especially when not so familiar with banger and torch and concentrate) so I thought a peak would be handy you can adjust temp. and do not use torch.. so why you did not like the peak?

When it works it's fine. For heavy use I was going through attys every couple of weeks. Even with rebuild kits it started to be a pain. Not the easiest to keep clean either. For a portable it has its place as a daily heavy use device it doesn't fit well for me.

That is another plus for the Sequoia and titanium buckets they last for months with heavy daily use.
I looked real hard at these before getting the peak. The local availability is what swayed me.

Pretty new to the peak, but I don't see why they can't make coils that last indefinitely (or at least until a major screw up). It's all about making you spend more on consumables lol.

The Peak uses essentially the same ceramic heater as the Arizer portables which is ridiculously reliable in the Arizer devices, typically running for 10-20+ minutes at a time. That said, some people have very reliable Peaks that work for a long time before failure so it seems to be pretty random. Brought a Peak on the last vacation, broke on the very last day, think that was only their V1 or V2 atomizer though so there's presumably been some improvements.

Honestly the Peak is pretty sufficient IMO for the average dabber, but heavier users will definitely see its limitations sooner. It works considerably better with a few aftermarket parts. Biggest drawback IMO is it costs more than a real e-nail, but it's good for people that need more discrete devices.

One interesting thing is the sequoia and titanium bucket is the exact same coil tech....... a ceramic dish heating a bucket.

I've taken the Arizer apart to look at them, it's basically the same as the sequoia and peak, that is why I figured you could make it last indefinitely if you "wanted"

Not sure why mine broke so often. Different version different heaters different supplier. Just wasn't reliable enough to keep throwing money at it.

I think they make them fragile on purpose, it should really be outlasting you if made properly.

I was looking at the fadespace upcoming heating coils, definitely marked up, but better than replacing coils all over the place. They claim it's rated for "many thousands of cycles"
