Sticky Brick Labs Vaporizer

So I've been interested in the sticky brick lineup for some time now. So these are the vapes I currently have, Enano, Splinter Z, Tetrax, Elev8r, and the dynavap. So with these vapes in mind, is there a certain sticky brick that I should still get? Basically, can I get good results from the sticky bricks like I can get from these I listed? The first 4 I listed can get me massive clouds. Just wondering if the sticky bricks are worth it when I got these, and if so which Brick is the best one to get?
The elev8r and tetrax are easy to hit so you're gonna have to do some experimenting to get rips like you would with those on a sticky brick. My sticky brick junior is just a pretty block of wood except for the occasional hit I'll do to see if I can get fast extraction. My daily drivers are the vapcap and elev8r.

Stumbled across this offer at Vapefiend and couldn't resist, so I welcomed a really handsome OG Brick Fractal yesterday. Hadn't time to play around much up to now, but all I can say is wow, bigger seems to be better indeed here :D

It's much much more forgiving compared to the Flip and even the Runt, while giving a faster and "clearer" feedback. So handling is the easiest of all my Bricks, performance the "best" I would say.

Congrats on the purchase bud! Interested to hear your thoughts after more time handling the OG. Really would like someone's opinion on how the whole experience is compared to the runt. :leaf:

Speaking of, I've been experimenting with the two-mouthpiece hits out of the runt. I still load up a bowl loosely with fresh ground herb, all the way to the rim. Then, I tamp down real light until the entire herb surface is even, usually resulting in the herb tamping to half of the bowls height. It's a light tamp.

My setup never changes; restrictor disk in, carb is corked and triple flame torch.

I threw the dry mouthpiece on the other day since it's been a minute and I wanted to taste the herb a bit more. Start the hit, and it's warm, quick. I see the vapor produce and feel the warmth growing. On the exhale, much better flavor on the first hit. Not like I am vaping killer herb right now, but the dry mouthpiece does allow me to get better flavor compared to the wpa.

Check the bowl, and it's still mostly green with some light yellowing. No stirring, just change out to the wpa and throw it on my 9in rig. It has to be because the bowl is already warmed from the first hit, because the second hit was MASSIVE! Like, I was able to chug hard. Bowl was nice and dark, probably about 85% spent. If I got a "good flip" where the remaining 15% landed on top of the bowl without much effort, I'd go for a quick cleanup hit. If the stir didn't turn out great, avb it goes.

I think I need another runt. One dedicated to the dry mouthpiece, another dedicated to the wpa. I could pack two bowls, and just swap bowls like described above. I might never return from orbit.

I've been loving my OG since I got it a couple weeks ago. It pairs perfectly with my Woodscents - the dynamic duo!

It would definitely be nice if the bowl piece detached easily like the Runt, but there's not much else to complain about here. The hits can be absolutely massive if you want them to be and I haven't come close to combustion with the disc installed. Really haven't found it difficult to use at all. Great device.

I’m a water guy, so that’s the way I use my Runt. Love the simplicity and the big hits. It’s a fun vape to use.

Upgrading the torch made a big difference for me. I don’t have huge lung capacity, and I was wasting precious seconds finding the ‘sweet spot’ with the stock lighter. The bigger flame helps me more quickly get down to business before I run out of breath. :)

Hmmm maybe I need a new torch

A high quality torch is essential to the Sticky Brick experience. It is the heater, after all, and the better the heat source, the better the performance will be.

I think it’s best to have a strong torch and a relatively strong flame. That way you have plenty of power available and you can control the heat with draw speed and the distance and angle of the flame.

Small adjustments to the torch can have big results in performance so proceed slowly when increasing the flame size or using a new, more powerful torch.

YES! More people should consider a larger torch with their bricks. It's counter intuitive that you get more control with more flame, but it's true. Throw in the restrictor disk to really unlock this vapes true potential!

I feel like I made a mistake getting two Ms instead of a flip brick I need to repack too much but the wood just puts me off there is no way to clean it it's like a whip for me I hate to replace and clean them they steal oil and stink.. I can only imagine old gunk stuck in there and flavor if you accidentally ignite a bowl?

I hear you and I had similar concerns but I’ve had my OG for three and a half years and it has been pretty much a non issue. It’s still a daily driver and the maintenance is below average, not the lowest but not bad at all. I rarely do a deep cleaning. I have a theory that the oily resin from my cannabis is good for the wood and helps condition it.

I do combust accidentally from time to time because I like to push the envelope and the smoke flavor is usually gone within 3-5 bowls even without any cleaning involved. I started out cleaning heavily and would still taste the smoke so I figured it was a waste of time. Now I just deal with the taste and make a point to pay more attention in the future. If you’re not trying to push it it’s not an issue at all.

Damn, I didn't realize how much further the wpa goes into the Runt than the Junior.

Decided to get weird tonight with the runt....

Homegrown outdoor purple punch topped with kief from the same plant and a dab of lemon tree shatter as the cherry topper. I'm a big fan of combo hits out of the runt, when it's herb and a concentrate of some sort. I feel like kief needs to be combusted in a joint or bowl, tbh. :ugh: Anyone like kief through their Sticky Brick?

Threw the dry mouthpiece on to really experience the terps and essentials of this plant. First couple of hits were all the lemon tree shatter and some kief. Next two were primarily kief, which I can be okay with skipping that hit. Last hit I took was just kind of finishing off the kief, so I've got the flower to look forward to next. With the dry mouthpiece, it is super easy to take back to back hits quickly, sipping primarily. Quick 5 sec or so draws, still a nice cloud, flavor all day!

For the massive, lung buster hits, I throw it on a water piece. You can get massive clouds with the dry mouthpiece, but for me, it's just more comfortable on my throat. I don't mind some warmth, but for the massive hits, I feel like my throat gets really dry.

Anyway, the runt can do whatever you want it to do. Dry, threw water, on demand, session, flower, concentrate, whatever you want. It's damn near perfect.

I'm going back in on that combo bowl. Hope y'all are enjoying your sticky bricks tonight with your favorite herb. :leaf:

Don't you find the restrictor disc is killing quite some flavour? Or maybe not the disc itself but the changed airflow/path?

I'm sure it depends on material and drawing techniques, the lighter and its flame and so on, but I did quite some testings during the last days with my Stickys. I like the handling over all better with the disc included and a bigger flame, but there's definitively a mentionable lack of taste imho.

I find the OG the "easiest" and most forgiving to handle out of my three Bricks. So it's the perfect "beginner" Sicky Brick imho.

Should be possible to connect the OG to a bubbler via a tube for example, or replace the mouth piece with some water capable glass. But for the direct connection to a water tool, there are other Sticky Bricks like the Hydro or the Runt.

If you know you want to use with water, then I suggest going with the Maxx. It's the one capable of using dry, with water, etc. It has connections and hoses for any type of use/connection you could ever dream of.

If you want a beginner brick, get the OG or the Runt. If you want to have the option to use your brick in any way you might see fit, just get the Hydrobrick Maxx.

I will never regret purchasing my Maxx. I love it!
It has everything to handle any method of use I can throw at it.

mhhm, have to think about grabbing the OG for 100 bucks or a Hydrobrick Maxx which is near double the price of the OG...

gotta decide on that in the next days :-)

edit: are the restrictor discs included with the Hydrobrick Maxx? is the Maxx the same as the OG when used dry?

edit2: bought the OG, price was too good to pass on it. it is a maple one.
