Discontinued Ghost MV1

You get to tweak two temps, but yes - accessory parts are very expensive. The battery is more like 60, I thought. It is a high end appliance. Why is a brake pad for a BMW more than a VW? These pricing arguments come up all the time and you will lose plenty of hair unless you accept the dictums of a free market - charge what you will, there are many forces in play.
Any chance you could post a few more pictures from different angles and of both halves of the enclosure? I am interested in how the two pieces join and where they are "welded" \ secured.

WARNING: BLASPHEMERS DO NOT TRY THIS!

After reading it, I decided it would be best to verify some of his points. So I went directly out and had a nice little crucible with my satin silver. That was 10 minutes ago. Damn, agreeing never felt so good! Lol

However, I have zero issues achieving enormous clouds with either one of my two MV1's. I want the record to reflect that.

Peese!
Samezeez & Sorry 4 the wait/late response ...been with/enjoying my clones since friday ... Mid west snow storm !!!
mine was also quite hard at first but it's perfectly smooth now after a week of daily use.
Once it gets hot enough the spring will adjust/loosen up !

Hey everyone, I've been an MV1 user for about a year now and love this thing. I have an issue, though, of never being able to get a bowl consistently vaped (to me that means fully dark brown). I don't eat AVB so I am trying to get every morsel of vapor possible out of it.

My work around is just to take the inconsistent bowl from the MV1 and put it into the my Arizer solo and finish it off to get the color I am expecting. It lasts for a good 10+ minutes in the Solo after using the hottest non-concentrate temp on MV1 and getting no vapor.

Is it my my technique? Is it the grind/weed itself? Am I crazy? I would like to not have to deal with the Solo at all and just use one vape because I do enjoy the experience of on-demand vapes much more than session vapes. I've asked this question early when I just got the vape and the consensus seemed to be that it was the grind size and the dryness of the herb, and also that convection vapes don't get as dark as conduction vapes (which the Solo is). Wondering if this is still the consensus? Thanks

I imagine Ghost, cuz of the vapor. GHOST Modern Vape 1
Mobile Vape 1? Just a guess.
'Moody Vaporizer' Version 1?

Thanks for the ideas... all I could think of was Massive Vaporizer 1

Have you tried calibrating to higher settings? http://support.ghostvapes.com/suppo.../33000240356-can-i-manually-calibrate-my-mv1- , maybe that could work. I haven't tried it myself.

I have the same issue... though i should note I've only had my unit for a bit over two weeks. My other vaporizer is an Arizer V-Tower and it got me used to having evenly brown AVB while the MV1 produces very uneven AVB most of the time, so I really understand you... it just doesn't feel right but i've managed to get over it for now. In my case I was expecting the same AVB since they are both convection vaporizers. But eventually I noticed that (1) I don't stir in the crucible while I do stir the living hell out of the VTower, and (2) while i can get a much more even AVB with the VTower, I need more herbs and way more puffs to get the same effect from using fewer herbs in the MV1, even if this smaller dose's AVB isn't evenly dark.
To try to get better looking AVB I tried to stir the crucible but felt it didn't really make much more of a difference from just rotating the crucible. Slower draws with the shorter stem seem to be giving me the most even AVB I've gotten with the MV1 so far, as well as the biggest clouds.
So now I just enjoy the rich flavor and effects, now and then try adjusting the variables to see what changes, and try not to focus too much on the AVB... I do store it though and use it for different purposes, one of them being to put it on the VTower at high temps when I'm out of weed...

Exactly, never throw that stuff away. Having used the MV1 for a while, I kind of like that high you get from the partially vaped herb. It is definitely a body high and if you're a cheapskate like me you think of it as getting twice the high for the same amount of weed :D

That is why I don't really slight the MV1 for working in the way it does. There are just a few asterisks to my fondness of the vape I would like to see resolved at some point. Maybe software can fix it. Will try out that calibration thing you mentioned!

I get consistent results when I grind it to fine and try to get the grind very consistent. Consistency of grind is more important than the fineness I have found. Also I believe that even when the colour of the avb is not dark brown that it is fully vaped. I have put the medium brown avb in my evo and not impressed with an attempt to get more out of it. It just tastes bad.

A fun fact about calibration mode ... I have figured out another way to get into the same mode ...by pressing/clicking the back vape button 3x times fast followed by tapping/pressing the front really fast ! Enjoy & if anyone knows &/or has returned a ghost for replacement ... What all was/is required to return the vape & what parts !?

I've tried a finer grind with 6 crucibles today and find this to be true so far, at least for the finest grind one can get using scissors... It also produced thicker vapour. Thanks!

I just got some new herb today "Mother's Milk" :luv: :spidey: and when you load the crucible just right I've been getting "Milky":haw: hits from my dhgate rig and just from the mouthpiece. I love this thing!

Sorry Mighty.. you're Retired. Please stay afloat Ghost. This vape is amazing and I can't wait to see what you come up with next in this vape drought. This design is portable convection heaven

It's a great vape which still flies over the head of so many I feel, maybe who don't fully appreciate the true vaporizer high.

Question for the folks here as it seems a lot of you know way more about batteries than me. Should I be waiting for the battery to be almost dead before I change it? I hope I haven't damaged mine, but I've been putting my battery on the charger as soon as I notice it's not at 100% after a session. Should I be waiting longer, or is it ok to just "top off" the charge so to speak?

I charge when it hits 1 green also you can tell if.you doing higher temps if at green 1 it may or may not produce vapor/effects as good as when fully charged....and IME topoff hasn't negatively affected me..... Hope it helps....

The ideal range for a li-ion battery is 20-80% charge. I wouldn’t keep it charged at over 80% for extended periods of time if you want the battery to last as long as possible.

This one is the style I use. On mine the mouthpiece is straight from the glass not off to the side like the one I linked but everything else is the same. Been working great with a WPA from puffitup

f/u question do you have glass stem or makrolon stem? If makrolon how does this WPA fit? My guy at delta 3d said he made from original glass mp units came with before switch to makrolon ...tia.....

The black makrolon stem

You take the normal stem out and put in the WPA stem which is a universal kind and fits any mm glass. Works like a champ with mine.

I think I may be talking about a different adapter the one I’m referring to is from delta 3D, I also see puff it up has a ghost universal adapter which is what I’m thinking you have....sorry for confusion
