One thing I thought worth mentioning is this vape STINKS! AFTER A weeks worth of use (not my daily but used daily) even in 2 bags, in the boot of my car it can be smelt strongly. I need to keep on top of cleanin or get a smell proof carry case. Even my dynastash full doesnt eminate so much stink

Hey @MOFAIA that’s obviously not working correctly.
Fuck Namaste, just contact S&B & they’ll sort you out.
What’s the point in buying from a reseller like Namaste if they’re just going to refer you to the manufacturer for warranty issues, that’s no help at all. This is what pushed me to start buying direct.
S&B are so great to deal with & have fast shipping, I just wish I’d bought directly from them earlier.
Get that RMA started.
I Love that Namaste send you to the manufacturer! Buy it cheaper from Namaste and then direct register your product on the S&B Site and rma it if its needed!

Hi @blackstone, thank you for your comments.

I should add that I also only use the capsules. Vaping was done indoors so ~20C ambient temperature.

Charging was done using a 2.0amp charger so perhaps that would explain the longer charging time in comparison with their stated 70 minutes, which could be using a fast charger. The charge time isn't my issue though, it's the shorter usage time in comparison with the original Craftys.

I also own Mighty, it's fine but I prefer the Crafty. I used to just about manage to finish a 4th capsule on my two year old Mighty and for the extra size, I didn't think it was worth carrying it around. I plugged the wrong charger in the Mighty and now it no longer charges, even though it still works. I must have fried something inside it :( It's out warranty so S&B didn't want to know!

I believe that two Craftys > one Mighty!

So you reckon I should mention an airflow fault to S&B instead of a possible battery fault? Is that because you think that I have more of a chance of getting it exchanged this way?

Gee, 4 capsules from a Mighty sounds strange to me too, I got about 3 times that from a 20 extra Mighty when new. But if it was the older battery model and
had some use/abuse? I don't know.
My point about your Crafty+ charging was that your device seems to be not taking enough time to complete a full charge.
I put mine on 2 amps charge from fully empty last night for close to 2hrs, and I've put it on again 50 mins ago and it only stopped blinking just now. 2hrs at 2 amps sounds a bit under to me how about anybody else? I tried searching this thread for more charge time postings last night.
And no, I thought you should run it through RMA as an unsatisfactory battery power issue, but if you felt the airflow isn't as good as you originally expected you should say this too.
Then again, a marginal improvement over OG Crafty airflow still sounds good. Never heard airflow complaints about those!
My Mighty is considerably more restricted but it could be a bit gunked up, thought that happened my first one too even without water use.

I'm starting to wonder, have you measured the voltage at your place? Or do you charge it near any interference sources?
Maybe that's just being silly though.

even in 2 bags, in the boot of my car it can be smelt strongly. I need to keep on top of cleanin or get a smell proof carry case.
I recommend both! And a clear rubber/silicone ecig tip cover for the mouthpiece seems to help me too.
This (unexpected) smell was a thing with every portable Ive had though.
Thanks to my father for pointing it out to me first!

I’m glad you’re okay with it but it is their responsibility to honour the warranty if you buy from them. If they refuse to do this then I think it’s important for potential customers that they state on their website that they simply won’t honour warranty requests.

I agree, I am not happy with this at all but I know that S&B can be quick in sorting it out so I'm OK with the RMA. The vaporizer is only two weeks old though and after this treatment I will surely consider buying from elsewhere next time.

I also have a Firefly2+ purchased from the same company and if that thing breaks within the first 6 months, I can assure you that it's going back to the retailer for them to deal with.

I will keep you guys posted on the RMA. Has anyone else processed an RMA for a Crafty+ yet? Hopefully this won't be like 2006 again...

Despite the low capacity battery on mine, which will hopefully be sorted, I'm really enjoing the Crafty+. The improved airflow helps to finish a bowl quicker, in comparison to the original Crafty. This is good if you want to get the job done quickly, bad if you enjoy a longer session. But the difference isn't huge. Awesome vapes!

Is the Crafty+’s form factor and increased battery life enough to compete with the no nonsense precision and reliability of the Mighty?

I recently picked up a classic and plenty and they’re both 10/10. because I’m now an SB fanboy, I’m thinking of selling my fierce. Also, I don’t really like it anymore, and I get the feeling I’ll like the mighty/crafty+

Edit - also, is the vapour different between the crafty+/mighty, plenty, and volcano? can someone quickly speak to the differences if there are any major differences

Ooh immediately worked on my phone chrome browser quicker than before and now has more stats you a pro. I wonder if i can use the page in offline mode.
Doesn’t work offline in WebbBLE or CARTA Browser on iOS but if you install from Chrome in Windows or Mac it works perfectly when offline, and I would assume on Android as well. (From Chrome File Menu choose “Install Crafty Control” and then you can launch/run like a normal windows application from the start menu or desktop)

edit: in Android there should be an “Add to Home Screen” option and then it should work offline ... too bad Safari doesn’t support web Bluetooth or it would work this way on iOS too ...

I was able to use the Crafty+ and some other strategies and a little mindfulness to make my supply last longer this week.
It still had me vaked and enjoying all the time though!

I also did a Crafty+ battery and usage experiment to see how many half capsules I got through from fully charged starting each time with a cold vape.
The capsules had around 0.07 in each estimated. And a little pad on top.
I was able to comfortably get through 7 of these half caps with a half hour to an hour cool down in between before the battery died on the 8th heat up.
Around 2 great draws at 180c, and 3 or more draws at 207c.
The effects of each lasted about an hour, it was a nice Sunday!

One of my favorite things about these SB portables is you don't even need water filtration at full temperature,
it's so much less hassle for me right now without water! And I really disliked the tongue, lip and gum burning from other "premium" (and non premium) portable vapes I've owned, even at medium temperatures wha ha ha!
Thats how I ended up with two of these monsters Mighty/Crafty!
Have a good weekend boys and girls, stay warm! But not in yer mouth!

Hi All,
New to the thread- but not S&B. Have had a Plenty for about a year.
Recently purchased an MV1 on sale but when the crafty+ became available here, I jumped on it.
I know the reviews of the Craft have been quite mixed over the years, but I'm anxious to check it out.
I'll have 14 days of '100% satisfaction guarantee' so I'm hoping to, like a poster on the MV forum - "put the MV1 down when the Crafty+ arrived and haven't picked it up since".

So, know I'll be looking through the thread for tips on grinding, packing and so forth.

What kind of heat up times is everyone experiencing? That was the biggest issue with the OG. The flavor was the best of any vaporizer I had used but it took forever to reach operating temperature.

These on demand Vapes have set the bar high so I'm curious what the advertised 30% faster heat up really translates to.

I know, I used to be tapping my foot saying Come On!
I measured it about 7 seconds faster than a Mighty that was plugged in. (68 seconds to 180c)
It's faster than I'm used to, and it now suits perfectly (doesn't harm flavor) to put a capsule in before you switch on,
where I used to wait for all the heating to pop a cap in.

If heat speed is a really major thing for you maybe wait and see about Mighty+ because that would real fast.
There's also the tiny chance that it will fit the pocket better than the old Mighty, but until then this one is real good fun, and powerful to heat and keep up during draws.
I can hardly get some grinding done and a capsule filled in the heat up time.

So, know I'll be looking through the thread for tips on grinding, packing and so forth.

Put in,
Turn on,

That's how it is for me anyway! Have fun!

Are there talks of a Mighty+? If so, when will it release? I searched the web but couldn't find anything besides the Crafty+

No, only speculation and prediction so far.
We are bound to get a Mighty+ or something like that most people feel now.
Who knows though.
The Crafty+ will probably always be the smallest one if that helps, unless they completely flip things!

I don't think SB did an xmas sale last year, but I see they did launch a capsule filling set the xmas before that just saying.
Last years Namaste xmas sale excluded S&B but there may be other Crafty+ discounts before 4/20 if you want to save.

My C= Takes 7 hours to charge from 20->100% and lasts about 3 caps.I burn at 180 C
this is repotedly only a 2.7 mAH 18650. Not enough for a serious multisession portable, but I am suspecting a whole lot of drain to heat in 60s (which mine does).

why is my battery charge time so much greater than spec? I am using 2.5A 5V chargers, but direct from USB bus is no better

I think you have a defektive unit. Mine takes a little more than an hour to charge! Maybe a hard reset of your unit will help. When you shut off your c+ hold the button 10 seconds.

I bought mine from POTV and just put a call in under the extended holiday 100%, hoefully they will swap it out. I'll try the reset - I forgot about that and appreciate your help. FYI I ownan MV1 and, aside from the battery charge, is hands down a better vape for me.
  1. The capsules are EASY to load and handle whereas the MV1 covers will not even stay on and the shape is a total challenge for arthritic hands
  2. The charge time on the MV1 is forever - they give you a 1A "fast charger" to feed 2x18650s.
  3. The het sink is najor mauintenance: must be removed, disassebled and cleaned about once every 10 caps - much more than the crafty
  4. The crafty can be cleaned in a pre-heated oven at 220F. The resin will run right off the cooler for collection as honey which can be vaporized using a honey straw or placed in a vape pen. Super good stuff.
  5. The MV1 collects its resin on the iside of the capsule (crucible) covers (!) which are very dificylt to clean as it is a mix of flower and resin, unlike the crafty where the capsule contains dry coffee-colored AVB
  6. The design of the MV1 is very similar to the Haze Square Pro. The heating coil is on one side of a crucible and the heat duration is seconds - one inhallation - not a session. On demand. Mostly convection, but when crucibles, capsules and chambers get hot hot, you will get some conduction. Maybe less in the MV1 due to the ceramic crucible and the thermal coefficient thereof. Point here being that the MV1 is really not as novel as some might think, but a thorough dissection reveals the comonalities and there are many.

Crafty, you are a Genius! I believe this may have been a software issue.I took it down to around 30% ad in an hour, it indicated full. Time will tell, but I am greatful!
