Y'all have fun with Black Friday. Get lots of goodies.

Sadly, thanks to rash and absurd decisions by Governor Baker, Massachusetts residents are not allowed to purchase ANY vape products through brick and mortar or on-line retailers. :goon:

I had saved up for Black Friday-I was happy to celebrate 2 years of vaping and being a member of this forum and the DV community. And it's the first time I've had extra cash for a vape sale. :bang: Oh well, I make plans and god laughs.

Those glass stems look amazing. They've merged a DDave water wand with a beaded stem. And shouldn't we all laugh that they have blue balls.:worms:

Hopefully they'll have some goodies left when the ban is lifted January 25, 2020. DV has really upped their game the last quarter. New products, upgraded products; a little bit of something for everyone. It's been a good year. Kudos @VapCap

Y'all enjoy.

But don't feel too bad for me. I have two Simrell Collection stems, a Ti and a Blackwood, and a really nice water piece for when my throat needs a break. Which isn't often with those. Sometimes it's just fun to take a big old bong hit though.

And I'm back to a lighter now that another IH has shit the bed. That's okay as I found a lighter I like and I've got three of them.

I'll be waiting for a DV IH before I step back into that world. I've had two and neither lasted 6 months. That's not long enough for something that costs $100-$200.

I'm thankful for this community that has taught me so much. Vaporizing cannabis has changed my life substantially for the better. And about 90% of what I learned I learned on this forum, and specifically on this thread.

Happy Happy FCers.

Oh. What happened?

Hope the stupid ban won't be followed by other bans any time soon. Good luck!

On September 25th our governor declared a health emergency and banned the sales on all vaping products and devices for both tobacco and cannabis.

They lifted the ban for cartridges for medical patients a couple of weeks ago, but the ban on devices is still in place until 1/25/20.

The stupidity of the move is astounding. We know more now, but we knew then that the vaping illness was caused by black market THC carts. The problem not being THC but what the THC oil was mixed with to decrease viscosity.

The problem was CLEARLY the black market. But what does our governor do? Instead of going hard after the black market where the problem lies, he closes down the legal market where nothing has happened. Why? It's insane. He closed the only safe source.

And people are stupid. They're still going to buy black market pens. But for every person in MA that gets sick or dies between now and 1/25/20 at least part of the blame lies with our governor.

Ha, thx for clarification, but I'm actually following the news about all these incidents closely for a while now. And yeah, it's breathtakingly stupid what is happening – banning devices that have nothing to do with the actual incidents (not only vaporizers, but also e cigarettes) and scaring people who try to do something for their health is a story hard to swallow indeed.

I was actually asking for what happened to your IHs. :-)

One of my buddies is an electrician, so I know I could get my hands on one and even a little wiring help if I'm in need. I've seen directions for making a plugged in IH, but none for making a portable one. And I'm not too adept at wiring and batteries, but I reckon I could learn eventually.

I was just curious if you had the skills to make your own. I find that DIY gives me a lot of heads-up information when I actually do go out an buy a commercial unit.
I will say that I am finding my latest IH mod quite useful. A big easy button to access the momentary switch carrying the full 6 amps of current. IH, switch, and power. It is as simple as that. Solder the coil to the IH PC board and run a few wires salvaged from a useless power cord.

And yes, these batteries carry a lot of energy. Not for the faint at electronics. I'm not sure you can buy a pack that can deliver 12V at 6 amps. But I'll look for one at some point. PortSide is certainly an easier way to get to here. Corded IH is for indoor sessions generally. Doesn't work for me. I need portability hence my obsession with power for these. there doesn't seem to be a happy medium of around 1500mah @ 12V. You get 800mah :uhoh: 3500mah choices. And we're talking real capacity, not advertised lies.

I still can't decide what to grab on the sale, I'd like another Omnivap XL but are we still expecting an update to those at some point soon? If so I'm tempted to just wait for that and grab a Rosium or something along with the "M for a Friend" which would indeed go to a friend and hopefully rock his world.

There is an easy way to solve that "excess DV dilemma". You have friends... thousands of them... right here. Feel free to relieve your choking collection to other needy people. And the bonus is that by the time xmas rolls around, you can tell people you 'need' new DV bling badly as gifts! How's that for a win-win deal @RogueGuy

I blew the blue light on my IH. I definitely didn't want to replace that. But it turns out that it help with that stealth front-porch-vaping. And that is why I needed the momentary switch for the IH. I did stress test it by running it for hours.

@beyond6strings

If your at all electrically inclined, it's relatively straight forward to make your own IH. Ordering parts of ebay you can make a basic one for under $50 usd, half that if you scavenge parts. Best part is, if I stops working you can replace the faulty part yourself.

Not that handy, or inclined in that direction. I'm happy to pay others who are. Thanks for thinking of me.

I am happy to report that the vaping ban in MA will be lifted in two weeks. That's good news.

Phew. I got a couple server errors (502 Bad Gateway) but persevered and picked up two Ms and a lighter. I've never smoked so I've been resistant to lighter-based vaping but we'll see how it goes. If I love it, I have a feeling an induction heater is in my future. Thanks to DynaVap for the sweet deal.

good luck to you! what are you trying to get?
Trying for another Omnivap XL and an M. The M will go to a friend who's stubborn about vaping, but I think this'll change his tune

Currently have an M and an Omnivap XL already but man I'm the type that wants backups for everything. Plus I've got an XL Futostash en route, so need a 2nd OmniXL to house in it... right?

VAS. Bad.

What're you after?

Finally got in! Got a 2nd Omnivap XL, an M, a low temp cap, a normal cap, a Wenge stash tool and a pack of Titanium CCDs.

I'm done, hopefully for a long time  man when I fall, I fall hard. Dynavap = life changing

Hope everyone gets what they're looking for, and I hope all the friends out there who get an M gifted to them fall in love with vaping

Happy Thanksgiving FC!
