Holidaze Sales 2019: Whatcha Gonna Do?

I've been wanting my own vape ever since I tried my buddy's MFLB a couple of years ago. Went to another friend's wedding early this year and she had an Arizer. That kind of sealed the deal for me. So I'm only a very recent convert to vaping. The only thing I own is a grasshopper (secondhand), but I need batteries, so I'm in the running for a new vape. Overwhelmed by the options.

Been waiting for Dynavap to announce their sales for a while. Just a few days longer!

If their website does happen to crash from volume of orders or if what you wanted becomes out of stock, don't forget some retailers might be running great deals on those items too.
Good luck with your new vape(s)!

Thanks! That's a good thing to keep in mind. Hopefully I come out of the green friday fever with something to show for it  Hoping for an AuruM, but I'd be okay with any of them.
There are so many different options (mentioned in this thread, even), but I figure starting with dynavap would be a good call.

Across the pond I know, but just in case anyone is interested Synergyextracts.co.uk are currently offering 25% off from now through BF until December 2nd with the code 'health' - and freebies when you spend around £100.

I'm thinking that's pretty good timing to help put my incoming @Boundless Vape Technology terp pen to good use. Not had a vape purchase in a fair while so I'm feeling excited for that.

Gelato diamonds look rather tasty to me too...

And now you've all got me wanting a portable rosin press.

Damn every last one of you

You picked a great time of year to start shopping. A vapcap is always a smart choice. You can start a new thread in Ask FC to get advice about which vapes might suit your needs. I like a Splinter for home and a Fury Edge or Fury 2 for a pocket vape when I'm out of the house. Everyone is different though and FC is a useful resource for narrowing down your options and learning what works for people.

I'm keeping it simple and cheap.

I don't VAS (too many other hobbies and expenses to care enough), but my DD desktop vape experience is awesome and giving me GAS (glass acquisition syndrome)... for the first time too :leaf: . Here's an intriguing two piece set of Chinese glass. It's hard to say no when it's under $70 US for these two pieces to the door. I really like the Swiss Tree design.

With Black Friday coming, signs look good.

Yeah, I was lucky to stumble upon this site around November. Was a bit nervous to start a thread, since I'm sure you guys get "newb here, help me get vape" threads a lot. But I probably should instead of sitting here not knowing what to try next  At least before the sales are underway.

I've been so impressed with my 2018M (that I had upgraded with ti tip) for more than a year, that I've decided to upgrade to a ti xl condenser and spinning ti mouthpiece. Just cant decide whether or not throw in an Omni ti body

Got sucked into the Sai accessories on sale at puffitup. But I needed those.
I need the silicone small jyarz. Anybody think there will be better than the current 20% off at PIU? Does jyarz still do the buy one get one 1/2 off direct for the holidaze?

I confirmed tonight that the seller is on the exceptional seller list on the DHgate good/bad seller list. But there has been a few bad experiences posted too here.

For glass lovers looking for a holidaze water piece, let me share my favorite, check out this fab egg matrix perc piece .

I saw the video (which is now gone but may be hosted elsewhere) and I fell in love with its combination of elegant design and incredible air bubble action in the piece with wet use. Not cheap at ~$80 US to the door but the piece appears more than worth it and very good quality; there are many reviews and 5 star ratings really dominate. I'd buy this with some confidence.

Oh no, the old crooked bowl stock photo, I know this does not instill confidence in a piece with some members.:myday:
I can see that, although it could also be reflective of the difficulty in making this piece...:2c:. It doesn't bother me much that the bowl can likely end up crooked as most pictures of this piece show that result... it looks to be a complicated piece.

While the crooked bowl doesn't not appear to be indicative of poor quality, it's a consideration affecting the use of this piece. And fwiw, while I love this glass piece overall (as mentioned), my vape doesn't work well that issue... so I currently expect to get the earlier setup I posted about first because it best fits my vape overall :peace:.

I know hardly anyone here uses the same vape as me, so I posted the fab egg... it should work excellently for manyvapers here (and based on its large number of highly rated reviews). I think that water piece is really impressive overall if a crooked bowl setup is not a big deal.

I'm a big fan of the Splinter and Splinter Z. I think RBT will have some sort of black Friday promo. The flavor and vapor quality of my Splinter Zs (I have more than one) are the best of any vape I've used and the avb is extremely even, especially when paired with a DNA mod.

A Splinter Z isn't as portable as the Tinymight, however you'll have more control from available firmware and setting options and the whole setup with a Z, box mod and batteries is about a buck fifty so $100 cheaper than the Tinymight.

Folks have been impressed with the Timber and it was smart of Mike at Vapwood to use a DNA75C board. The Timber is large for a single cell device and you're effectively paying Mike to make a box mod out of wood in order to have the heater, battery and board in the same body so it's $150 more than a comparable Splinter Z setup. Vapwood vapes don't include a stem of any kind so it's an extra $25 for a short wooden one or $35 for the glass-lined stem, which cools better.

I've owned two Lil Buds from Vapwood and their unregulated performance was good but the hand-turned wooden stems are not the best option for cooling the larger hits I prefer.

It's an exciting time full of impressive innovation: Ryan at RBT used to assemble the Splinter and Splinter Z 510 vapes by hand and then went through the growing pains of building a relationship with a Chinese manufacturing partner he could trust for quality and safety. The result is an affordable device built to run on the same box mods the ecig world uses. So you can get a Splinter for $70 or a Z for $100 shipped and put it on any of a host of box mods with whatever features and battery capacity suits your purpose and budget. I recommend the dimpled glass XL8R cooling stems too.

Mike at Vapwood has gone a different direction building both the lower box mod and the upper heater section out of wood and doing all the woodworking, heater assembly and wiring in his shop. Everyone I've seen on FC who's tried one has really enjoyed the performance and I've definitely seen some praise for the all-in-one design which, while bulky, is more pre-configured than any Splinter since you buy the mod on your own for them.

For me it was a reinventing the wheel thing: I'm familiar with a range of mods now and I'm the kind of person who'd rather buy the two bits for $150 and put them together as opposed to the all-in-one unit for $300.

Probably gonna be 20% off. All their sales Ive seen have been 20% so far. Im hyped for their glass WPA/nipple+bead stem.
It may be 15%. They also have offered free worldwide shipping before it would be nice if they do so again.

Your wish-list looks like a solid start. I too enjoy the Launch Box and added the VapCap for completeness. The IH is a perfect accessory if you prefer flame-less heating VapCaps. My M(18) hasn't seen a torch. I'm thinking of raiding the parts shop when the sale lights up.

@Alexis after extensive consideration I've decided to pass on the big sales this year, I'm going to manifest destiny and build my own vaporizer instead. Ive been designing, testing, and giving feedback to vape manufacturers for a number of years now and it's about time I filled my own void.

Did you guys see the MV1 is now down to $125 shipped? Too bad it looks so much like a desperate going out of business move and not just a holiday sale.

I also saw an email this morning about Dynavap doing 20% off with free shipping and an option to add an M for a friend to any vaporizer purchase for $20.

I'm going to have to sift thru my spam box as I didn't see the Dynavap email. Going to have to jump on that sale as well!
