Could be worse right? And after all, it's just an inevitability we gotta swallow.

But you have your BCG right? Enjoy it man, gonna stalk you out now for more goss haha. :)

Edit- it turns out I'm a clever detective because I can't find answer immediately and I'll see you Saturday will be the day you must be excited, and I'm glad that I didn't miss the show and the after party following the big reveal.

Can't wait for you bro.

Meh No complaints about the customs charge with my luck was as certain as the sun rise :D Considering I have a $6 - 1 inch diameter 4 peace that give me the monkeys claw hand when I try to open it. I'm tempted to sleep the next 24hrs untill post man arrives!

One thing I think I might E-mail them about is.....

I got a Text ""Your Item from Grinders for Life in Canada has been assessed by customs""

With """Grinders for Life in Canada""" slapped on the note, I would stop it at customs 100%!!!!!!! This is a bad move in my eye......... ""GFL in Canada"" would have been ample and maybe saved me £20 and some delivery time.

"Your order is complete on our side and has just been shipped."

:-)
Unfortunately, I did not realize that small international packages have no tracking. I hope the customs do not need so much time. Quite unfamiliar, not able to follow the package, blind flight :-)

I'm looking forward to my new grinder :-)

I've been using mine for a few days now. I like it a lot. The design is beautiful and it functions great. I'm a big fan of the magnets. The action is so smooth, it's ridiculous.

I kinda miss having a four piece, and the post in the collection chamber is slightly annoying, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Overall, a fantastic grinder.

Well said, my man @wilky ! I’ve been fortunate enough to use a BCG for almost a year now and it’s still an absolute pleasure to use, never gets old. To me, the BCG is a luxury item that’s also an incredible value. People grumble about the price and then their BCG arrives and they hold it and use it and they forget about the price.

So everybody, wise men, ladies and owls! Is there a general consensus on optimum plate?

Out of fine and medium? Usually I would assume that most people would favour the medium plate over the fine generally with grinders.

Is that the case here with the BCG? Do any of you have the fine plate and feel that it is unnecessarily fine and there a slightly course of mind may work a little better?

And vice versa?

If you just choose one, what if you could choose again now after having some experience what would be your choice out of fine and medium plates?

Big thanks for any input and thoughts on this.

I use primarily medium and coarse. I've been leaning more and more toward @stickstones "Gentleman's Grind". (Meaning, using whole nugs in vapes that can take them) so, for vapes that don't take unground herb - I have been using the coarse plate more and more.

Honestly, I don't really know if I'm getting more / less "good stuff", but I'm having fun experimenting. ;)

I use fine for everything except rolling the occasional joint.

Is there a way to do a poll, besides manually?

Evening Baron, hoping all is well with you tonight buddy. Faring up pretty well here tonight, after a heavy 650ug acid trip yesterday! Had a great sleep and feeling much refreshed and relaxed, but totally hammered and will be for a few days I expect. :)

Thanks for chipping in. I already was aware of your general preference for fine grind. I have been that way myself mostly. However, Im suddenly questioning this need. I have been using my Kannastor Gr8tr fine plate exclusively.

It has to be right up there with the finest grind of any grinder, especially when the plates are clean because the fine plate does get very gummed up and sticky and loses effectiveness.

When it has been cleaned it's a pleasure and effort to grind with and virtually all of the herb makes its way through the holes into the chamber and is the most perfect fine fluffy and uniform grind.

But once it starts getting gummed up, it becomes a nuisance IME, I'm OCD about wanting all of those trichomes and resin heads out of the grinder and into my load and I don't appreciate carefully brushing so many surfaces after unscrewing everything to get all of those trics off of the sticky plate.

Anyway, a few days ago I decided to switch back to the course plate in the Gr8tr. The holes are huge. But surprisingly this year's herb has been grinding up pretty finely and uniformly even with the course plate and has worked perfectly with the Woodscents and Elev8r.

Looking at the herb, I found it hard almost hard to believe that I have been using the course plate.

So if a BCG was to, say...fall into my lap! I'm in a dilemna as to the best plate choice. Previously I would have said fine plate all day long.

But now I'm leaning more towards medium, on account of my current experience with the coarse plate of the Gr8tr.

Hence my inquiry here.
Which I feel is worthwhile, poignant and of intetest to me anyway. I realise I haven't picked up an overall impression of people's general experiences, preferences and reflections regarding plate choice with the BCG.

I would be really interested to hear from everybody on this, not just one my own dilemma but I think this would be really useful and interesting and informative for everybody especially prospective buyers and also for existing owners to compare experiences and consider whether a different grind maybe worth experimenting with with the BCG.

Right, edible dose awaits before some evening vaping. Have a great night everybody. :)

IME, a LOT of grinder performance has to do with the specific flower put in it.

E.g., Blue Dream that I have gotten in the past would grind to dust in almost ANY grinder without regard to fine/med/coarse.

Some flower, I have found, will be more coarse than others even when ground with the same BCG fine plate.

Go figure.

Absolutely. It was the first time I have used the course plate with this year's harvest and it seems to be grinding remarkably well down to a uniform and fluffy consistency.
