At least those who have previously downloaded the apps will be allowed to continue using them.

Maybe it would be more useful to write apple a letter, that this volcano app or firefly app is absolutely necessary for your life and health.
I suspect apple app store cannot make the difference between dry herb vaping and vapour crisis vaping.

I got that on the list, but I doubt they have feelings for dopeheads.

My only "app-vape" is the crafty. I bought it without having a smart phone, because it was the cheapest option for a portable S&B.
Went into a phone shop. Went to play with the phones on display. Downloaded the crafty app and set my preferred temperatures.
I used it without a phone for a long time.

I hope apple will exclude dry herb vapes from their "vape ban". I am sure they did not make the difference to e-liquid vapes. But they say it is because they want to protect youth...
So my hopes are small.

Are there devices like the Ghost MV1 and The Firefly 2+ (convection vapors) without apps?

I sent in a support request to S&B asking if they are going to get an Enterprise Distribution license from Apple and then distribute their app that way (as a download from their site, and you would just have to trust their certificate as 1 extra step)

Edit: I’m not sure what other option they have if they want to continue to support Apple/iOS users.

Anyone who buys a vape that has an app to control it, deserves what they get. The companies that produce such things are part of the idiocracy. It only takes an app to make an idiot excited. "wow, I can control my life from my phone! We are finally in Star Trek , yee haw! .... I can't open my front door right now because the internet connection is down, but not to worry, it will be fixed with the next automatic software update, oh yeah baby!"
