This ~2 inch nug I happily received in a recent and very potent batch of one of the most famous sativa strains out there , Acapulco Gold . This example is from the BC Canada coast area. Long live great sativa strains

@Zak McKracken, you are my man!

Yep, am watching the AceSeeds subforum for some time and am very excited by the way AS/Dubi is acting as well in CC as breeding. I ever was searching for breeders who are especially in the preservation of (Sativa) landraces and heirloom varieties so I worked with genetics from Breeders Choice Organization a few years ago who supposed to go a similar way as AceSeeds (and had some breeding collabs with them until the rip off of AceSeeds and customers by HHF from BCO) And Dubi is a real fine guy. I personally met him at the Spannabis two weeks ago and was talking with him for some time. I also got some Killer A 5 Haze beans from him on request, I came to late to order them this year while officially in stock but Dubi had reserved 30 packs of them just for the Spannabis :D I also got some KillerA 5 Haze flowers for testing from a guy I met at the AceSeeds booth. Dam' what an awesome experience. The best "Haze" I rode on in years!
BTW we were visiting about 10 SCC (friends of mine want to buy one to create a Cannasseur Club) in Barcelona and bought and tested all Sativas they had in stock but even in Spain they only have the same Sativa fake shit as everywhere even the original Cali Weed directly imported from California and sold for 35-45€/gr!!. Polyhybrids as usual with 65% Sativa genetics max. The best of the so-called "Sativas" was the Green Crack I got in the Nectar Club. Nice but not really impressive. Nice pretty clear-focused daytime stuff but without my beloved typical Sativa buzz.
At the Spannabis I also got some Karel's Haze from the SuperSativaSeedClub - absolutely recommended! Lasting for hours, active but not racy with a nice body component. Good stuff for my Gaudi exploration day in Barcelona. Two VapCaps during the day made me very high all the time for a good 8 hours!
Regarding testing AceSeed stuff I currently give a try

- Orient Express x Nepal Jam
- Malawi x Panama
- Bangi Haze x Ehtiopian Sativa

Waiting for their time

- Malawi
- Golden Tiger
- Panama x Malawi
- Nepalese Jam
- Killer A5 Haze
- Tropical Mix

I'm in very good hope to get keepers for my Bonsai Mom Garden of all different types of REAL Sativa buzzes

Will also more test Malawi Cob style fermentation. First testings were VERY promising - Recommended!

@Zak McKracken can I recommend imgbb as a better image hosting site than imgur now? Its just as easy to use, but your images will actually be visible here to all members, without having to click on the image to be directed to imgur.

Although, I'll be honest- part of me is glad that your bud shots are partially "hidden" from me, as it is such a tease on me lol. This is the stuff I need in my life, but none of these strains are possible for us in our outdoor location where all flowering must be complete by late August/early September.

I hope one day to be able to rock an indoor setup, at which point I will be coming to you for some tips.

I keep forgetting it all the time actually!:ko:But I had them up there already and no hard drive backups,so,no bud porn:ugh:

In response to earlier comments about genetics, I believe there is a lot of deliberate bullshit being pumped up about cannabis genetics. I know the principals include Robert Clarke and DJShort. The point of the exercise seems to be the breaking-down of our understanding of the well-known and scientifically accurate taxonomy we’ve all us3d for decades, in hopes of ‘redefining’ ALL drug strains as “indica” - and therefore not covered by laws against “sativa”.

Their “arguments” are full of possibilities treated as certainties, unsupported assumptions, and perhaps-deliberate ginning up of a ‘history’ of cannabis that is based IMO on nothing solid.

I realize that this view puts me in opposition to some big names and some big money, but that’s nothing new.

FTR, taxonomy - the scientific naming of things - is and always has been based on physical aspect, growth characteristics, and other morphological considerations, with distinctions of product both chemical and agricultural being decidedly secondary (which is why corn/maize is *still* essentially a type of grass): the whole NLD/BLD, sativa-IS hemp scheme ignores so much basic and well-ordered science that I find it hard to believe they’re being taken seriously.

Thanks Zak! Nice to meet here an experienced AceSeeds genetics grower. Would really like to see your pics but none of them can be opened here!?
Would like to come back to you per PM for advice regarding growing the different varieties I've if allowed?
Yep, the Zamaldelica is standing at Top 1 of my wish list for the next year too. Any other "must-have" recommendations aside from the ones I've listed?

@Alexis, Pal, I already adviced you to the AceSeeds Autoflowerings. The Auto Malawi x NL shouldn't have any probs to ripen in time even in the UK, especially if you (pre-)veg them some weeks indoor under artificial lights. NOW would be the time to order and pop them in April. Only 16 packs of the Auto Mal x NL in stock!

I've lived in the phoenix area for decades. it's a nice little hub for weed from the south. i sold pot in the 70s, so along with the commercial mexican , we'd get acapulco gold, panama red and then the good columbian stuff arrived. a few other mexican genetics were lovely. the acapulco gold was such a fast seller that our mexican grower friends started doing something odd to the plants while growing that would turn the buds kind of goldish. it was not paraquat damage, just a scam so some stoners will say that they tried acapulco gold and it sucked.

i spent 2 years in thailand for the sativa. i grew for 20 years and i'm bummed that a real sativa takes well over 100 days to mature. i went 111 once, the fucking trichs were still clear as a bell. i know some trichs dont change but this sativa just wanted to take 5 months or so to mature.

just a word to the wise, if a pot store is selling a "sativa", chances are they are selling a hybrid. when you can get decent hybrids and indicas to mature in 60 to 70 days, why waste all that space on something that takes twice as long to grow and sells for the same price?

i'd give somebodies left nut for a great old sativa. not my nut but i know some guys who pass out hard.

Strong sativas are the still best by far for me :love::science::science:. I've been enjoying the current use of Strawberry Cough (#2 on my all time list, #1 is Viper... an even crazier strong sativa but I hardly have any left and it's now very hard to find), Acapulco Gold which is #3, then Trainwreck and Chocolope which are a minor step down (slightly cleaner highs), then down a bit more to Durban Poison which I've seen described as a clean espresso style high (and agree with), then a bit more of a step down Super Lemon Haze, Lemon Haze and Moby. I will add that a quality grower/supplier/batch matters hugely. My top three strains listed here have been consistently great batch after batch, from an obviously skilled grower or growers.

After that I really enjoy "sativa leaning" strains compared to the earlier 'strong sativa' strains; a quality strain and especially batch is still very impressive sativa-wise and great variety :luv:; I think about Blue Dream as a great example in my experience (quality batches are very very impressive :borg::)).

And from all that experience, I'm excited about just ordering a few new (to me) impressive looking sativa strains from a trusted source (here in Canada); it's a culmination of research, timing and spontaneity . More specifically, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some Sour Tangie :clap:(strong sativa) and Golden Goat (sativa leaning):leaf::leaf:.

The supplier for both those new (to me) strains uses great recent batch pictures; they look frosty and the feedback is very impressive (high). Though while they're at ~ 30 reviews or so each, which is a very good start compared to many other sellers, it's still not as notable as the best strains I've had with similar ratings and over 100 reviews ;). I've had some hits and misses from this seller, like all sellers I've tried, but still this order does look promising from my experience. The overall internet strain feedback for both Sour Tangie and Golden Goat looks great . I'm excited and let's hope for the best .

Anyone have feedback on Sour Tangie and/or Golden Goat sativa strains :leaf::leaf:?

Hey sativa lovers  I'm back with a report on my first pick-up of Sour Tangie and Golden Goat strains :leaf:. I've waited to have three weeks with both of these new-to-me strains and I've been able to vape a number of bowls... a number or ways and with breaks interspersed :sherlock:. The great news is that I was able to get a high quality batch of both strains. The pictures didn't lie :).

In more detail and first off, the Sour Tangie batch looks great... vibrant with frostiness to the naked eye (visible trichomes). It has a more leafy less dense look and it feels lighter. Lots of pistils too. The Golden Goat looked more dense and even more frosty to the naked eye . The trichomes in both strains are amber in color which means a more subtle frosty look in my experience than indicas (which generally have a higher contrast from white trichomes). Thus the visibly frosty sativas I've experienced have been potent sativas .

On to the vaping and experience. I like to vape at low temps first (320 F) to derive the most stimulating sativa effects first . Starting at the top, Sour Tangie is the stand-out for me (over Golden Goat). I love strong sativas and the Sour Tangie and batch delivers... hard ; it's very potent :science::science:. I find every strain has a different profile in experience and ST is no different. First thing I've consistently noticed is that it has a very unique flavor. You can really taste the sour in it (from the East Coast Sour Diesel). This is very different from the other sativas I have and have sampled, and easy to pick out. Next, Sour Tangie hits very quick. Notably quicker than my other sativa strains. Four minutes in on the first session and I am :freak: . Related to that, I also find that ST really ramps up hard too :brow:; ST is definitely a bracing sativa, which I love.

I get cerebral frontal lobe 'tingling' that good sativas have, strongly as well... but in a kind of different way (there's a different frontal lobe sensation from other strains). It reminds me a bit of the feeling of physical pressure, like the Headband strain which has that notable physical pressure sensation, but different. Wikileaf describes similar cerebral sensations, which I discovered after my Sour Tangie experiences :sherlock:. As the experience settles in for a few hours plus, I feel the estimated 20% indica components contributing a very enjoyable and welcome physical relaxation component; it reminds me of Acapulco Gold in this way, a similarly described strong sativa. The overall experience I get with ST is an invigorating initial strong cerebral experience followed over time by an enjoyable more-rounded sativa expression, and in combination with a nice physical relaxation component. Excellent .

FWIW, the strongest expression of these aforementioned effects happen when I take ST as the first session after a cannabis break (which I do every week... and am doing right now ;)). I've done ST three times this way alone over the last three weeks and can report consistent effects.

Sour Tangie is a winner; highly recommended :leaf:. In quality batches it's very potent stuff for the strong intense cerebral sativa fan :science::science:.
Here's a few pictures of my ST batch :leaf:.

Looking at the Sour Tangie genetics it makes me want to try Tangie even more . That's where ST gets its more intense cerebral effects from. Anyone here tried Tangie?

I've drafted Golden Goat feedback but will wait to fill it out with real-time feedback and post it up when I have the a fresh batch in the next day or so.

Cheers, enjoy your Friday... and sativas :peace::leaf:!

Hey sativa lovers . I'm :science: here on another Friday and wanted to share some recent good news that I've sourced a few more sativa strains. I'm excited because I'm only getting the stuff that really really interests me now
in_love.gif
.

I just picked up a new batch of Viper :love:. This is my #1 strain, the strongest most bracing sativa I've had. And I've been looking for some for the last 10 months without any luck. This batch looks great and frosty (more frosty than the Sour Tangie above), though it's on the dry side. It looks like my old batch of Viper too (it had better look similar). I just put this fresh Viper batch in a mason jar with a boveda and am looking forward to trying it.

And as a celebration today I started in on the last bud I have of old Viper . I'm very excited to have a good quantity of it fresh
hobby_horse.gif
.

And I'm getting some fresh Ghost Train Haze. It's a new-to-me strain and its reputation is incredible, both in effects and being a multi-time Cannabis Cup winner . I'm very excited
wooyeah.gif
and hopeful, expecting it soon.

Anyone have some experience with Viper or Ghost Train Haze? What are your thoughts?

In the mean time let me share here a first FC look at the Golden Goat I recently received and posted about earlier .

Thx all! Here's a sneak peek of my new batch of strong sativa Viper strain (mentioned in the last post). I've been searching for a source for Viper for 10 months solid to just recently find this batch available. I went to manual camera mode to get this picture of my batch. Impressively frosty, especially for a strong, even bracing, cerebral sativa :luv:. This strain brings me lots of eurphoria and strong stimulatory effects . I'd love to see more growers offering this strain again. It's been very hard to find here in Canada for most all of this year :(. Worth hunting and finding though . I highly recommend sativa lovers try Viper. I find this strains lives up to its legendary MX sativa roots. Enjoy!

Looks tasty, and alive! Exactly as it should be. Great sight as I sip my freshly squeezed hot Durban Poison tea this sunny UK morning.

How do you make cannabis tea, just steep whole flowers? In hot water or??

I did some CBD flower infused into cream, for hot chocolate. It had great effects BUT a really nasty taste AND
it had a very caustic/harsh/ irritating feel on my mouth and throat.

Previously, I had only infused cream with ABV which tasted yucky but no caustic effects on mouth/throat.

How do you make your tea?

Well it isn't something which can be "whipped up" so to speak, any time. It is actually the byproduct of our typical edible process.

We infuse dacarbed bud in coconut oil with sunflower lecithin in a small saucepan, which is strained through Muslin into a jar. But we can never squeeze all the oil out of the muslin herb bundle.

So I just pour boiling water over the muslin bindle, keeping to wrapped up, and squeeze the oil out according to strength requirements.

It comes out really thick and creamy, due to the lecithin and it's emulsifying properties. Have to be careful as you can onlu guess at the dose. Super tasty though, depending on on the bundle and amount of oil left behind, I usually get 3 or 4 good cups worth.

Today I took the time to update my notes on cannabis strain experiences. I currently have 8 different strong sativa strains, plus three more sativa leaning strains... Durban Poison, Chocolope, Viper, Trainwreck, Strawberry Cough, Acapulco Gold, Sour Tangie, Ghost Train Haze, then Blue Dream, Golden Goat and Dragon's Breath. Strains of the year and Cannabis Cup winners there. A number of great batches too (and some very good consistent growers). They all affect me differently and it has been great to try new stuff; though I don't need that many strains on hand :argh:. Still, I highly recommend trying them since I find them all different. And that's just my sativa stuff .

Today I went with my old batch of Viper first after this week's break. One of my favorites and it impressed; highly recommended . Fridays are the indulgent cannabis evening for me; the first day off of a break, which is the most potent in my experience, and at the beginning of the the weekend :peace:. I save my favorite strains for these sessions and it's always always a sativa .

Last week for the first time in memory I mixed two strong sativa strains together in my first bowl after the weekly vape break. And it was one of the best cannabis experiences I've had in a long time . More info here, http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/whats-in-your-vape-right-now.20710/page-77#post-1431001. Try a similar S/I ratio strain mix sometime.

Have a great weekend and enjoy sativas :peace: :leaf:

Oooooh nice . Strawberry Cough is a top 1-2 strain to me; I love the batches I've received and it's been a strong, even bracing, experience when I vape after a 4 day+ break. Very euphoric. Let us know how it goes for you :peace:.

Tonight I had a microdose (0.02 g) of quality Golden Goat and just finished another bit of Platiunum Bubba Kush.

Have a great Sunday night :peace: :leaf:.

I found some Bubba Kush that needs 12 weeks of flowering. It has to be a newer version that has been recrossed with the OG Kush and reinforced its fenotype.

Would you be so kind to describe yours? I'm not too convinced on spending this long time yet. Maybe I'll use its space to make other strains, depending on the feedback I can get.
Thank you!
