Discontinued Inhalater INH05/5S/6

Vitolo

Vaporist
All 4 models of my Inhalaters are all still working after all of these years.
They are still my vaporizers of choice for on the road.
I am starting off today with XP, but will be moving through my 05, then my 06, and will enter the afternoon with my 6S.
Feeling better already!

Just traded my INH05 for some nice big buds... along with a Pax3... to a friend which is a true weed smoker! I already started to convert him to vaporizer 2 years ago with some wax pens and the extract knowledge I got and shared with him.... but know the student beats the master  and he made some good stuff using bho, dry sift and water hasch! But wasn't using at all dry herb vaporizers since he tried my old MFLB years ago... until I shared some sessions with some more recent portables with him.

He like the INH05 a lot, more than the Pax3 and he's pretty happy to use it, he get it in his Pocket every time I saw it since the trading!

I'm still well covered myself with my old but perfectly working Xp and my 06S, they are both used in a daily basis.

I am still rotating between XP, 05, 06, and 06S.
XP is still my favorite.
If I were to share one of these with a patient, or convertee from smoking, I think I would also
give my INH05. It is a good solid unit that is "mid-range" .
Glad to hear you got some big buds!

Personnaly I'm a huge fan of the glass capsules and use my Inh's with them quasi excusively!

It's perfect for small doses (but not for micro) and to sip on the sofa using lowest settings(2-4) I got the best taste with decent clouds. For high temp rips I prefer the classic capsules cause you can load more and heating up is faster.

I have the original glass "hourglass" shaped capsules that I have designated for kief use.
The long straight glass tubes (with the gold protector at the herbal end) are divine for use with herb, and make the INH experience remarkable!

This the ones I get and yes the experience is amazing, very conservative and so much efficient! I use a small load and can vape for 2 cycles (20mn!) starting at 4 and finishing at 5.5 (Xp settings) with a remarkable taste and pretty decent/satisfying clouds (taste fades a bit fopr the 2nd cycle though)!

I broke one of my 3 glass capsules years ago and use it (shorter now) for kief/hasch only but I added a silicone tip from an old W9 EO cartridge to add heat protection for my lips AND some airflow restriction which is nice with concentrates (helps to avoid to cool down too much the vaporizing chamber while hitting the device) !

It's the only one device I can load a chunk of hasch or a spoon of kief directly in the capsule (glass in preference) and got a great experience (low t° sipping session is the best for me), full extraction and no mess!!

The only cons i can see with this glass capsules is the breaking issue (I only use them at home) and the longer heating time which is more than twice the length of the polymide capsule heating time duration).

I never understood why, in average, FC peoples don't like the Inhalater's vaporizers , even a old Xp is a lot better than most of this new fancy vapes. I wish Greg would build a next OD version, 06S is a great step forward but still a sort of a "on demand session vape" cause it continue to consume juice (even if at a lower range) between hits even if this is doesn't cook your herb if you set it low enough (1... or 2 but not more except if you want a sort of hybrid beetwen on-demand and session).

Really, for me this vape taste better than lot of vapes (even some using convection tek!), with a glass capsule, ungrounded flowers and right t° choice you'll get the best from your flowers, so yummy!

Most Inhalater users LOVE their vaporizers.
People do not speak praise of the Inhalater (and some actually become angered at discussions about it), because years ago, @Inhalater made a second account (A Sock Puppet) to help raise interest in his product.
That was in early 2014, and he was banned.
FC Members and Staff were upset by this, and have never forgiven or forgotten.
Personally All 4 of my Inhalaters still function as the day they were new.
Luckily for all, @PlanetVape still sells them (reasonable at $159), as does the Inhalater Website, however the Inhalter website sells them for a higher cost.

I have eyed this vape for a number of years and have always failed to pull the trigger. I think i may do so now. Any suggestions on model. I think the 6s is the latest and greatest model out now.

Yes the 6s is the latest and offers more watts ( I think look at @Old School 's posts) qand a sort of heat on demand during a session BUT, all in all, it is pretty similar to the others version I tested and it is very expensive... I think the most famous Inhalater was the (first?) 004 which is not avalaible anywhere... like the Xp.... but there is some retailers selling the 05 (and maybe 05S?). Sadly it's not the best version but only cause the very, very long charging time (and the powerfull lights, you can use it as a torchlight... or mask it with something), although it offers a wider range of t° from colder to hotter. It was the Inhalater I choosed when I want high temp big hits through water or concentrate session, it's not mine anymore cause one of my friend was in the need of a good vape!

edit: try to contact Kory at namastevapes, they got a stock of 6S and maybe would offer a better price than the one listed in the Inhalater website... if they still have it in stock!

Hello hoyo77 sorry I've been away awhile lol.... Yea 1st off let's help you understand his naming up to date....in order and I'm only dropping back to the 004 which I also believe I've seen it as 1004, then XP, then 05, 06.....& yes there is a DL version of 07 up in the alleyways of Canada somewhere....
If it has an "s" after it which started in the 05 era that is an indication that the heater wattage doubled..........it jumped from 12.5 to 25w.......so the "s" was the Shit.........

Ok so when we get right down to it very very little has actually changed with this design....which IMO is only a indication of a kickass design for extraction........
Now that being said each version was slightly diff....... in fact we all learned this during the XP era when we all began to refer to them as the quarter we bought them in.... Q2 was the best........ohhhhhhh how I miss my Q2XP it was the closest exp to smoking w/o the smoke such memories..... sorry I drifted there.....
So back to our small changes that yield very different characteristics....... I think at this point I'll switch over into engineering improvements in order to explain further.....XP era ea prod run the heater was being altered "fine tuned" once he felt that was finalized the 05 era begins.....during this era a discovery was made with regard to doubling the heater.....this lead to the "s" same everything as 12.5w 05 but 25w 05s......

Ok there is all your background leading up to the 06 & it's claim to fame.... It's exactly the 05 or 05s nothing else was touched but a boost switch was added that basically ramps the heat up by 2 or 3 settings on the dial which likely equated to 30-40 degree ramp up then once you release the button it would drop back to the original temp on dial....
IMHO the 05/06 were his best build and as far as the boost button "06" era easily performed using the dial yourself so...

Now I guess before I'm asked about it I'll fill you in on what changed in the new DL 07........ again very little but this time something that we have seen in the past "XP era" greatly effects it's performance...... Ok if you haven't guessed it yet........ It's the heater & a couple other build items but the heater is what we are all going to be talking about........whether it will be favorable or not I'm not overly confident to be honest...:sherlock:

I've only experience a demo so I'm not sure what or if there will be a final version but I found the heater to reach temp way too quickly & in this particular design that's not always a good thing....

So now finally to your situation if it were me & I could get my hands on an 05s I'd be all over that......however it's important to understand there is NO warranty...... sorry I should clarify that.....if any of your previous models break or fail to work and you are told to turn to the manufacturer....... Old models are NOT repaired which is to say you will be given a newer model if & when there is another production run..........so basically if you can get your hands on any of the older models......they are all ALREADY vintage classics LMAO :myday:

Poor Greg I do wish him well...... I'm just loosing confidence.....not sure how much more were gonna see from Inhalater......:hmm:

If you type in "inhalator vaporizer, you will find over a dozen sites still selling them, right up to the 6S model. All 4 of my models still function, one is from early 2014.
I did see number of sites selling them are out of stock.

Still rotating through my Inhalters.. I use one a day for 4 days , and I am back at number 1 again.
They all still work, and I have four models.
When I leave home to do anything, the INH is still the vapes I carry with me.
I fill up a couple and I'm off to adventure.
I still rock mine too @Vitolo i think I got the carbon fiber wrapped INH05S

The only one I still own is the 06S and it works so well, when I want to test/taste a strain I fill a glass capsule with unground moist flowers, that's the best taste available with a full extraction. If I want to milk a bubbler I use the stock capsule filled at 3/4 or full. Still a fantastic vape!

My 05 was gifted to a friend... who tried to replace the battery after to let it to sit depleted in a box for +2 years... I advertised him to not do it himself (we have a good friend which is our electronician) but he tried and broke the device. Our friend wasn't able to repair it, as well my old Inh004 die when it came out of battery, he said the thing was so tiny with not enough room to work, I took great care of this 004 but no battery last a lifetime. It's sad Greg didn't implemented his vape with a true replacable battery feature.
It was a great vape! I hope my 06S will last long.

Sorry for the back to back post, I will use the FC search feature to find the answer to my question but here it is: How do you replace the battery in the 06S?
My last working Inhalater is not taking charge anymore... I usually charged it when it coldened right after a session, it might happen I forgotten to do that sometimes but never got more than 3 bowls out of it before re-charge. If somebody get a step by step battery replacement tutorial for this device I would be so happy!

Edit: Found the answer, replaced the battery with a Samsung 26J from another vape, seems to work, I filled a glass capsule with some Gorilla Glue... I'll let you know!
Redit: It works very well!

Bought the last one in the Amazon link you posted for less than 50€ shipped, I'm just afraid the battery to be dead since it sits since many years!
Please... you never reported back as to whether this unit functioned well.
Did it?
All 4 models of my Inhalaters are all still working after all of these years.
They are still my vaporizers of choice for on the road.
3 years since I made that statement, and all 4 are still working beautifully. I use all 4 at least once a week.
Today I loaded all 4 up, so I youd not have to change wouldles on the road.
I took my dog to a vacant baseball field that has locking gates.. and played ball with him fort a couple of hours, as I depleted the contents of an XP 05, 06, and 6S.
It took a while, as the capsules were PACKED... but that meant I played fora lot longer... Dusty liked that!
I know that creator Greg Boki, owner of Pharmacor made himself unwelcome here by making extra accounts with which to praise his own products.
That does not affect me while analyzing the product against others.
The Inhalater was and still is one of the finest technological developments in portable vaporization.
They are still for sale at @PlanetVape

@Vitolo Do you have the first version of inhalater that was flame powered would love to see some pics or a video if you have any :)). If i remember correctly it shared a similar philosophy to Dynavap/Hippie pipe :).
Found a really bad one..
Did it also had some kind of battery ?

I do not have one like this.
My earliest was the INH04, which still worked, but the charging port was disconnected, and it took much work to get the USB into the loose unstabilized port.
The unit you showed us in the video worked similarly to Iolite, in the manner the heat was applied.
