...fuk...I think I have a quartz bucket w/o the quartz...
No, you are talking about the donut coil, similar looking as I now have a donut heater under my quartz instead of the plate heater(it broke it so I scavenged the donut heater from a donut coil to put in the cup atty to keep it going).

I'm cross-posting this from my original reddit post so I can "cast a wider net" but would really appreciate any help I can get, but thanks in advance for any and all help. Would anyone be kind enough to please send me a copy of their ntoolbox .afc file for the Sai ti and/or quartz buckets (a google drive share or something)?

I just got my Pico 75w, a Sai with the Ti and quartz buckets. After following every video, post, online tutorial and thread, I've come up with a set of what I thought were great profile settings for the Pico, but I've wasted about a gram of shatter trying to get it to work, and I'm just not getting even one good rip.

I'm including the link to my ArcticFox configuration so you can download it, load it into your configuration program and see what my settings are. In the meantime, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE if someone with a similar setup as mine would PLEASE share their configuration file so I can at least get up and running.

I'm attaching the screenshots of each of the profile tabs, and hoping that someone can see the "duh" setting that I'm missing. I've been going back and forth testing each profile. I'm about to pull out what little hair I have left!

As always, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! I can't wait to get a setting to actually work!

...what size is that terp pearl...???...

...is there a quartz bucket in there...???...

...my bucket looks like that except it chars on the bottom...
The pearl is from a G-43, 3mm I believe. If it’s charring your either running it too hot or not swabbing it out often enough. I qtip mine out after every session. I don’t use it very often so keeping it clean is easy for me.

...thanks...sorry I asked you this @ Vapelife just now...

...I was thinking a pearl would be a good thing but sent away my 5mm pearls with the V Rod and could only find 6mm pearls at the shop...

...I have been paranoid aboot having missing parts...

...it seems hard to get it hot enough to vape w/o charring...

...I do clean it often...I use that coil brush and a q-tin with iso...

...if it's charred up it won't vape well for one thing...

...my light stuff turns dark before it vapes...

Forgot, it’s a Ti bucket, not quartz.

Try using a little more concentrate and drop your temp to 175C(350f), 20 watts and work up from there, I know a lot of guides say to start at 25w but I was getting charring too.

...I wasn't getting any vapor at all @ 25 watts...I still don't know how to set up TC properly...

...it could be I just need a better mod...this Snow Wolf one does not seem to have a way to change the wattage in TC...in any of four TC modes it seems stuck @ 40 watts and .68 ohms...

...it will not let me set resistance...it has a read function but if I try to set it with the up and down buttons it just goes back to menu...

...FWIW, using this mod in TC @350 F and the aforementioned default 40 watts 2 .68 ohms is vaping my stuff w/o the pronounced charring I was getting in "power" mode...

...I was running this mod @ 37.3 wats in power mode to get good hits but it was charring a lot...

...I am liking the results even with the wattage stuck so high and the resistance slightly lower than the recommended .70 ohms...

I have mine set to 30-35w 370°f. Once it gets to 370° the watts drop down to 13-15w(maybe less) to maintain. I can go hotter without charring but the vape gets too hot for my liking. I’m also using a taf donut coil(no air hole in the bottom) under the bucket, not the full flat ceramic coil, still on my first one.

...is this reliable...???...

...I am really liking a quartz banger I bought and was thinking about the quartz bucket coil...

Is the SAI TAF, when properly set up, easy for new users?
Can you give it to completely unexperienced people in a group session and say "push the button and inhale" and they get lifted without burning the dab or something? Does it work for mouth-pull inhalers too?

When properly set up in TC mode for someone new, I would say yes. Getting it set up and dialed in is the hardest part when it’s new(every coil is a little different) Sure you can set it up in watt mode and have great success but you need to control the button. I can give mine to anyone and say, hold the button, count to 3 and start hitting as long as you want!(mine times out at 20 seconds) I would be very surprised if they had any trouble getting a nice hit.

I suppose there is so many variables with coils, mods and modes it's harder than normal to give the newbie exact advice. I'm still looking to get a Sai but it will take plenty of trial and error to get it dialled in. Having some seasoned Sai vets to brain pick will help massively ;)

...I suppose you could say that I already did...

...Puffitup just sent me a return label when I bitched...no questions or delay...

...I just had to drop it in the mail...

...I didn't send it back after I leaned how it works...

...in effect I bought it again as I chose it over my money when offered the opportunity to ditch it...

...I did ditch my FlowerPot...I had to pay shipping...

...that would be a more appropriate vape to ask this question aboot, in my case, not that is isn't an excellent question...

...a direct answer would be that if I lost this one I would buy another the next day...

...or to be succinct......yes...

...albeit off topic but the thing that put me off the FP was the E Nail aspect using concentrates...

...I learned that I prefer a torch and banger or an on demand device with TC...

...I might buy a Weed Eater some day, if they make a carb cap that fits it...

Do the heating elements for the TI or quartz bucket use solder? Apologies if this has been already asked/discussed, I tried searching and didn't see any relevant info.

I have the iStick Pico 25 which is 85 watts. what are my alternative for the SAI TAF edition? i need a box where the thing can last for good amount of period. it needs to have all of the same features plus the ability to save profiles, so it must have custom firmware. I have artic fox on the iStick Pico 25
