Transportabilty if using on the go as you just swap out capsules easily when you need a refill. No need to fuss with emptying the chamber & refilling. Some even like to have the capsules set up for the day for home use.
Different strains too are easier to swap with the capsules - as long as you know which is which. I use them mainly for on-the-go - I just got the filling tray from Delta3DStudios too but haven’t used it yet. I however want to get the new stainless ones which sound better than the original mesh ones. :peace:

Excellent points. I agree it makes it easier to keep clean and the faster/simpler reloads are nice to have as an option, although it does call for more work when you eventually clean and reload them. As the Chinese say about the food being cut up so diners can use chop sticks, "The cook works hard, so the diners don't have to". In this case, the cook and diner are usually the same?

Another big advantage to the capsules is the ability to use bubble hash without gluing everything together. Either mixed with herb (I like 1:3 bubble to herb personally). Lately I've run half a dozen or more loads half full of bubble (or in this cased the pressed, traditional version as 'hash') only. Takes extra heat but goes and goes and goes. I heat it again in the oven for half a minute or so to soften up the fouling inside, pry the cover off carefully holding in paper towels and dig it out while soft. An hour or so soak in ISO (a tiny bit in the storage tube) it it wipes up clean and shiny. This with the new version (came out with EDGE), it is an utter failure in the original 'all mesh' ones unless there's a lot of herb (think ABV) in to soak stuff up.

Lots of choices how to use it, choice is good even if you don't exercise it much.

Regards to all.

I like the idea of the filling trays. Which is the right one for my Edge capsules?

This is what I bought:
https://delta3dstudios.com/one-vape-dosing-capsule-loading-tray/

It’s smaller than it looks. Haven’t used it yet but very soon!

From everything I’ve gathered in various FC threads, the stainless dosing caps should fit Fury/2, Edge and POTV One. Fierce has its own size though I suppose these would work too as they’re smaller.

You won’t be sorry!
I know, I know! :):peace:

The EDGE capsules do indeed fit, hold more and IMO work better in F2. I don't know know about POTV One, but understand it's the same?

While they will of course fit Fierce, they don't work nearly as well there. They 'rattle around' in the bigger bowl (making poor contact) and are rapidly cooled by the incoming air. Weak hits, and shorter ones to boot Longer heat soaks helps, but...... As one might expect in a conduction situation.....exactly what you'd expect in convection? If you have a Fierce to feed, I recommend getting the capsules designed for it. Much superior.

They (the new EDGE capsules) are easier to load (being stiffer in the body) and easier to get the cap on, but in finest 'trade off' fashion this means the cap falls off easier (I use a wad of paper towel in the case to combat this) It also means the covers can get 'glued on' by condensate when cold. The solution is to put them back in the heated bowl for 10 seconds or so, at least that's mine.

Regards to all.

Hey guys! Just ordered the edge and picked up the 3dstem + capsules. Is there anything else I should pick up? Maybe a good suggestion for a capsule tray/holder would be nice
I have the WPA but when using it with a mobius (older version of the yingming GB-187 without the ugly fake logo) I didnt get the best results. I might need to try it again but from what I saw the HR Fury isnt as well suited for that compared to an enano or splinter. So if you have other vaporizers you might not use the WPA as often.

3D stem I use all the time, its my on the go setup of choice. Stealthy enough for most situations and much smoother. The default "inhaler" mouthpiece only gets used in certain situations (like an amusement park or wedding for example). I havent used the pods yet, please let us know how you like them.

Appreciate yall! This is actually my first entry into vaping or actually anything related to it at all, got into it because of CBD and was suggested to try vaping instead of oils because its more effective. The oils sort of helped but it's expensive. Learning as I go and spent the past three weeks just researching everything I could about vaping. What temperature should I start/end at for cbd/hemp?

I got the capsules because I'll be sharing it with my dad who has horrible anxiety/sleepless nights the past few months due to a recent loss and lots of things going on in life, figured it'd be easier to pre-pack for him.

I think you might find you made a very wise choice with the capsules. I sometimes vape Cannatonic for the high CBD there, usually at my 'standard' 390F. I 'end early' typically, having learned by experience when the THC and CBD are basically exhausted. Still remaining are a lot of heavier components (still making vapor) that contribute to 'couch lock' and similar sedative effects. If I'm using CBD so I can function normally (as is often the case with MMJ types?), that's something I sure don't want. I save the ABV (partially vaped herb) for bedtime when I put it back in and crank the heat up to 420F or something like that to get that benefit.

Make no mistake, the 420F run is more harsh, and lacks some/most of the flavor. A WT here really helps. Even though the production rates are low (high production, dense vapor, being the usual reason to use), the WT can not only cool the vapor some but importantly add water back into it so it doesn't irritate the throat as much.

So, while you should experiment with different techniques for sure to see what suits you best, I suggest you might like vaping a capsule or two of high CBD herb and intentionally 'stopping early' (say when you lose most of the green?) then changing to a new dosing capsule to finish the dosage and let your father finish them (getting the sedative effects) with the WT later on?

Experiment around, you'll sort it out, yer on the right path for sure.

Regards to all.

Thanks for the help! Does WT refer to a bong? That's one of the things that I'm trying to avoid for now because this is uncharted territory for him as he's pretty vanilla besides alcohol. Also one of the reasons I think the form factor of the fury is perfect for our case. He was a little uneasy at first about CBD oil but eventually got over that hurdle so now we're going to try flowers as I said because its a lot cheaper and something I think is worth experimenting with.

Will definitely experiment, I miss these old fashion forums!

I think the bent stem will be really good for your dad. If you can afford to, get it - makes the bong/bubbler/water attachment much less necessary.

Also - you asked about holder for capsules. It comes with a little tube to hold 4 at a time. But if you are looking to prepare several capsules at same time, others have mentioned this is very helpful:
https://delta3dstudios.com/one-vape-dosing-capsule-loading-tray/ (The ONE and the Edge use same size capsules.)

Yea I went with the 3d stem over the curved stem because someone mentioned it works a lot better, we'll see how the 3d stem works out. The loading tray looks great, thanks!

Yea, delta3Dstudios makes the best stuff. The 3D airstem you already have is by far the most convenient way to vape. I like whips personally.
https://arizer.com/product/whip/
More cooling than a stem but not as complicated as a bong.

Great! Yea that looks like a good alternative, this fits the edge right? I'll see how the 3d stem works out and if its still too harsh/warm I'll look into the whip.

It attaches to the Edge WPA. That's the Water Pipe Adapter. It came free with ur Edge as long as you picked it.

the whip doesn't attach to the wpa
wpa - male connection
whip - male connection (the one from arizer website)
you'll need some bubbler like the D020 for the whip's mouthpiece part (mouthpiece entry=female)

It does attach. Just dont use the elbow glass it comes with. The hose attaches directly to the wpa. Also, I recommend the Silicone over the PVC.

Already have the Fury 2 but have been looking at buying the edge. Out of sheer curiosity can the Fury 2 mouthpiece and the POTV One accessory attachment fit the Edge?

. . . I do use the ONE water adapter with the Edge and works great, FWIW.

Thanks @Jill NYC that's great to know.

I had asked this question above, and here's how it went:

. . . does the POTV One's water pipe adapter work with the Fury Edge?

To which @Stu replied:

No, it does not.

I had also written to POTV with the same question – and a fellow named Larry responded by saying it won't work.

I had been skeptical of these responses, since the 3D stems work with both vaporizers (One and Edge) – so I could see no good reason to believe that the WPA wouldn't also work (being the same diameter as the 3D stems).
