The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

have you tried turning it up when its in boost mode?
I did, as I said it vibrates when I do to confirm, then when I press it a second time it vibrates again to supposedly move the temp back to where it was but in reality has no effect on temp.

I did turn it up to 404° manually, then I realized that's not exactly what you asked.

After powering down and re-heating to 389° this time I pressed the button twice (just once), then was going to turn it up to 404° manually again, but it seems to have repaired itself.

Thanks! :hmm::myday:

It 'may' be possible you have the older version of the mighty which lacks the boost feature.
Either way I never use the boost anyways so you aren't missing a whole lot.

Wow, you’re right. They don’t show the Digit on their site anymore.

When did this happen? I think they showed all three versions for a while, no?

Actually part of my post was going to say "What the F.. happened to the capsule caddy" as I twice confirmed that it was nowhere to be found on that site, but when I checked last night it was there!
So maybe there's been errors.
Then I thought the Digit was back but it's only a listing for its parts.
Funnily, when I read your recent Hybrid review (thank you for that btw!) it seemed you knew, but I see now what you meant.
The huge price of the Hybrid is one thing, but yeah the fact there's nothing in between that and the Classic is really something too!

Will a Digit be collectible now? Mine was a few tens away from having 420 in the serial number, that might be worth a few bucks extra?!!

I think more people say that due to the astronomical prices S&B charge for their fantastic plastic, just saying you could buy 2 different great vapes for the price of a Mighty or a full collection for the price of a new Hybrid Volcano. :2c:

I have to admit, the rrp of a Mighty is why it was not my first vape, and I don't know how they thought an even more expensive Volcano could sell!
I bet it doesn't come up often in market research, if people are asked what they would change about the vapes, maybe they never think of the price.
Or the company just know the max they can get away with charging.

It's not isolated to S&B though, the VapeXhale rrp was always hard for me to rise to and I'm only coming round to others like the Herbo Ti/Digi and Newvape through scrimping and sniping a deal sometime when I'm flush again.
I found Pax3 and Dynavap expensive for what they are.
If I was in the market for a Mighty replacement I would probably look to save money as a priority, as always! But not at the cost of too much peace of mind!

There's a world of flavors and variety of experience as you go through the temp range. Some folks simply enjoy and stay at temps well below 180.
You are noticing a difference, too;

'More' is not necessarily a benefit, when it's a matter of personal preference.

The weird thing, is how you can put a half capsule in at full temp for one minute, and then this great flavor comes out. When it should be worse at that stage?
It's like a lot of the terps and compounds come out at the same time.

I have tried many different lower temperatures in a place where I couldn't be blasted, but really needed the pain relief or comfort part.
I would be less blasted for sure and sometimes it worked out, but often it was too little, or I did not get the other things I desired for the duration.
It was hard to get my magic number for that use, and then my available strain changes unpredictably so that didn't help. But I think S&B were right choosing 180C as a starting point.

My convection desktops always taste way better before the load cooks or at lower temperatures, so I get that part.

When I say I think high temp vaping could play a part in me looking a little more wasted. I'm mainly referring to being sort of tired looking in parts of my face, but to be honest I have no idea if this is related to the chronic illness I have, the inflammation and severe sleep disturbance that has caused me, simply age, or even if it's hereditary. Sometimes I wonder if it tied in with my initial switching to vaping in 2015, and I now toy with the idea that it may be a result of full temperature Mighty enjoyment for about a year or so!
I'm such an open minded chap, I'm also hoping all these folks were not right about plastic ingredients (hormones?) entering your system and maybe causing it!! but that's just covering every angle!
I would love to hear anyone having similar input or experience of that in particular, but maybe it was just me!
Thanks for your help so far Vapviking!

Is there anyway to replace/fix the mighty power button?
(other than sending into to storz n bickel)

My friends Mighty power button wont work.
What is exactly behind the orange rubber coating?
Is it possible to pull it out and try and clean it or something?

the screen still shows and it can be charged, so it seems to function,
just the actual power button doesnt turn the unit on when pushed down.

The few screencaps I have of Crafty dis-assembly don't give away much only that it's probably a PCB mounted, normally open, non latching push button.
not unlike this one here,

If you were lucky someone on here could verify or maybe find a number on one, and you could find one and get a repair shop or yourself to fit it.
A simple test to prove the switch is faulty would be to short the two terminals it is connected to.
Wouldn't it be cool to fit a doorbell push on the side to fire it up! Or perhaps a wired remote.

I had a hit off my buddies Plenty today & loved it. Going to pass on the $400
volcano & go for the Plenty.
https://herbalizestore.com/products/plenty-vaporizer
Is this legit site & price?
Is there a recommended place to buy?

I'm honestly not familiar with that store or the Plenty.

After using the Classic and Digit extensively, the only Volcano I would buy now is the Hybrid.

I think I prefer the Mighty over my Classic.

Good morning, FCers. First, let me apologize if there are pages and pages on my topic. I've looked through the recent posts and can't find anything; my guess is that this has come up before, and more than once.

Last night the LED screen on my well-used and well-loved Mighty stopped working. The unit turns on (I can feel the vibration), heats up, and will turn itself off after a period of inactivity. If I plug it in, I can feel the vibrating confirmation that it's charging. In other words, the thing works. Just no screen.

(I might be going crazy but it seems like starting a month or two ago, when I shut the unit off, the top half of the screen stayed grey while the bottom half went black.)

Is this a common problem? Is it fixable? And ... is it possible that I did something to turn off the screen?

Thank you.

No stealth mode here, your screen is cactus:myday:.
A pretty similar thing happened to muy Mighty after too many outback Aussie corrugations on the gravel roads we were traveling, mine was swapped under warranty and Australianvaporizers said it was a pretty common fault with the Mighty.

I honestly think I cracked the code and have figured out how to use the Mighty in a way that works great for me and possibly great for you! Here's my routine.

1. Pre heat water in my Cusinart tea maker at the 190 degree setting
2. Break off a tiny piece of bud and do not grind it (Sneaky Pete's youtube lesson on smooth vapor)
3. Place small piece of bud in Mighty and put concentrate pad on top usually I press it firmly down on the bud.
4. Put WPA on and set Mighty temp to 375f pour hot water into water pipe when Mighty hits the 350 range and let it heat up for a sec once it hits 375 degrees then start taking some tokes! This has been very smooth, extremely efficient with herb and great clouds too!

I really don't want to cough when I vape.......there's no purpose in coughing and to me it seems like when the user coughs they are most likely over doing it with too deep of inhalations.

This method has not only made the Mighty a doable unit for me but has made possible to replace combustion with vaping! I've tried many ways to find a vaping system that works and this process combined with a micro dosing philosophy has made this transition finally work!

I'm probably at least $1200 in the hole buying various vaporizers to find something that works.
Dry/native hits don't seem to work for me on any unit without side effects such as extreme dryness, sore throat, heat feeling in chest area etc. (none of these make vaping a pleasant experience)

I do think there is something to the 190 degree water that adds moisture to the dry vapor, lower temps and room temp water don't work as well.

Possibly using a water pipe and not a bubbler might add moisture to the dry vape as the vape must travel through water and not over it?

I'm a not a science guy yet I realize many things in life and health are an art and a science!
Proper dry herb vaping seems to be an individual methodology as each user seems to respond differently to dryness and some more so than others. Volcano bags are not doable for me...others suck on em all day with no issues!

The cardio vascular benefits have been extraordinary......went a half hour on the treadmill no issue at all after not going on in some time, this wouldn't of happened even with micro dosing combustion I would have felt less breath at times and more of a struggle to reach 30 minutes.

I'm in agreement with the consensus on the is "vaping as healthy as we think it is" thread that it's probably a lot healthier than smoking yet not as healthy as many might think it is! yet.......this method I'm doing seems to not have any adverse effects on my heart/cardio vascular system at times I'm wondering if the vaporized cannabinoids are helping my heart/cardio vascular system.

There's seems to be so little we know on the health of vaping but so far I'm glad I'm reaping these benefits and finding a noticeable result in a short time. The munchies seem to have increased though, and I do find vaping affects the motor skills more so than combustion did, the high even with a sativa strain is very indica feeling and stoney feeling. Fly me to the moon...da da da da

There must be something to the various "highs" at certain temps but it is a very heavy high, not sure if I like the high as much as the euphoric combustion high as the vape high seems to have a sad feeling to it? very stoney

I like this idea truth seeker and shall give it a try!
I do a similar thing but I use a whole bud (unground) without any concentrate pad.
Though this is a good idea for smaller doses.

Hot water can be smoother than cold for many people,
though sometimes I'm unsure about how healthy inhaling all the steam is?
I'd be worried about water pooling in the lungs though perhaps that's an unrealistic fear hah.

That’s an interesting point.

If you keep your inhalations down to no more than half a dozen per session I don’t think there would be any more water going in your lungs then going into a steam room or other type of situations where your breathing in steam

There’s a lot of people that breathe in steam through humidifiers and personal humidifiers like the kind they sell at drug stores so I don’t know if that would ever be an issue unless you’re way way over doing it?

It's probably not a big deal especially in moderation,
I have no medical background so i'm likely over thinking it heh.

Looks like New updates or even new full versions of crafty/mighty are coming soon judging from S&B Instagram post teaser!

Oh shit I just saw that, hype is real!!
I strongly believe that confirms a new portable vape is on the way.

Also one additional point I felt was worth adding,
when you're using hot water in your water-pipes be cautious to clean more regularly as you're creating an optimal environment for bacteria with the hot water and high humidity from the steam.

I'm not trying to completely shit on this method (I'm actually about to give it a try, I have done hot water before but not using unground bud with the concentration pad)
but I just think it's something people should be mindful of.
Lung infections are no fun.

I wash the water piece before every session and rinse it out after every session but maybe I should use dish soap every time as I usiallly just do a quick rinse

Thanks, this has me very excited!!! So what does everyone think??? Is it a New mighty, new crafty, new plenty? Or maybe a whole device?

A Digital Plenty with vibration alert and app?

I was gonna say that last time and it was the Hybrid Volcano.
I hope it's not concentrates-only.
I hope they don't drop the Mighty from the line-up, if they do, this new thing better be nothing but better than the old!!
And I hope they don't add a hundred or two to the price for the trouble.
:shrug::hmm:

Tonight I learned one of the easiest or quickest ways to remove the bottom (fine) screen inside a Mighty bowl,
is to use the metal spout of a Volcano Easy valve with the plastic outer removed.
You just center the tube inside the bowl and press downwards.
The screen should fall right out if you get it right.
Any similar metal pipe or tube of what appears to be 12mm diameter should work fine, chamfered edges like the easy valve tube has will probably help.
