Just can’t decide between the Fury Edge and Mighty

Can someone help me out here? I’ve got analysis paralysis here.

My use case is something I can use on and off during the day, 2-3 hits without much trouble or prep. On weekends, I like to share with 2 others who are not regular users, talking about 10-20 hits or so total for all 3 of us there in a night. We do sometimes use something on the go, like in a car before entering a business. I’m fine with a session vape, as long as it’s not something that takes forever to prep and use. I’d ideally like to have something prepped for several days like dosing capsules or something easy to load and use. I don’t need huge bowls.

I have a starry now. I find the flavor lacking, and the restricted air flow and cleaning annoying. I don’t wind up using it much compared to concentrates which I am trying to move away from.

Edge- I like everything I have read about this. Positive impressions all over the place. Seems to be great for a lot of reasons. According to Troy from 420vapezone, it graphed out as perfectly shareable, resulted in many hits, good flavor and overall worked great. He didn’t even use the bubbler or the glass stem options. It’s small, it’s versatile, great attachments, and it has a clean air path. I like the idea of a 3d glass stem and bubbler attachment. It’s easy to load and clean. It seems like a winner except I do value flavor and smoothness over most other stuff, and not sure if it’s going to be as good as he Mighty in that regard.

Mighty- this one has the rep. It’s supposedly better in flavor and smoothness. But it’s hard to say just how much. I don’t see too many other advantages but I sort of have FOMO. I don’t love the proprietary charger, large bowl size, cleaning etc. Is it worth it over the edge when it comes to flavor and smoothness? I don’t care too much about portability, but as I mentioned we do sometimes take something out.

Since I can’t just try these both out, what’s the best option here?

4+ people and all hitting it in a sesh? Are you mostly at home? Maybe a plug-in model for these larger groups?

So you're the only one supplying a vape in these sessions? Next you're going to tell us that you're supplying all the weed to these people too? :ko: Can I be your friend?

The Mighty does have a great rep, but I'm done spending 350 fucking dollars on any stupid ass vape unless it can suck my dick too.

It’s rather a close little group. We share a device, yup, and pass it. It’s just 2 others.

do what I do, get a mighty and plenty. what is cool about this combo is mighty is great for portability, and plenty is fantastic at home, but you can also use the dosing capsules for both as long as you get the dosing capsule adapter kit for the plenty. also get the capsule loading kit, so you can fill up 40 capsules in 10 mins. its true the mighty is a pain to clean, but using capsules doesn't get as dirty as fast. plenty is a beast when it comes to using with multiple people, is just keeps pumping out vapor non stop.

another thing that's cool about the plenty she has a very big bowl, so you can pack a lot and have fun with a lot of people, or use the dosing capsules when its just you and another person. very versatile.

for the cost of a mighty or even 100$ less get an edge and a Fury2 !

Fury Edge. The Mighty costs as much as a Fury Edge and a Fierce combined and doesn't bring the modern features or versatility to the table. The plastic airpath is bullshit, the heater can only manage 410°, and proprietary chargers are always annoying. The Mighty is also a weed hog and it bugs me how it abruptly stops producing vapor. Each time I empty a Mighty bowl I'm left thinking I should have gotten more vapor considering how much I loaded.

better in flavor
I do not know about that.:2c:

A bit of a learning curve(keep drawing, don't stop!) and really shines best with a gram or more in it.

I think the Edge would suit as a good upgrade from the Starry without all the drawbacks of the old Mighty dinosaur, especially when I hear about poor CS of late from S&B.

That being said, the Mighty is still great for sharing at parties, put it on flat out and pass it, I just put mine on a 12v power bank while no one is using it to keep up, especially if you have a couple of dozen caps pre-loaded.
My Mighty was only US$233 last Black Friday sale so should be just as cheap this year..in a month?

So, I probably haven't helped much.:)

Maybe cause I used a Volcano for so long but I wouldn't personally call the Mighty bowl "big" heck it's damn near Vapcap size if a dosing capsule is used. I've also never found the Mighty hard to clean, on the contrary it's extremely easy to clean. I pull apart the cooling unit and drop it in warm ISO for 10 seconds and it's done. Throw the WPA in at the same time.

People love the Mighty, it's a crowd pleaser. More people have wanted a vaporizer after trying the Mighty than anything else I've ever owned, beta tested, or reviewed.

I don't vape with anyone besides myself and very occasionally my wife will have a couple puffs.

If I had that many friends  and they were all coming over to vape, I'd pull out my old Vapor Bros box vape. The hands-free bowl can hold enough for a big session and you can pass the whip around.

This is exactly how I feel about the Mighty, it doesn't stand up if you have enough other portables to compare with, and I still get more effects from my Air 2 over the Mighty (which baffles me) from same amount of flower.

So unless they have upgraded the heater I cannot recommend a Mighty.

It may have been the bees knees when it came out but that is a long time ago now. I would guess the Edge isn't as much of a herb hog as the Mighty.

Can only agree. Sold the Mighty after a few weeks. The taste is good, the device handy and of great quality. But on the downside, too much plastic, too low temperature and what made it worst for me, I realized I needed much more weed/hash compared to all my other vapes. I found out the Mighty only performs really well with a totally clean cooling unit. And it's really hard work to clean the cooling unit :(

Being overly-meticulous about cleaning my vaporizers after each use (!), I was glad to have gotten rid of my Mighty. The worst part (one of the many worst parts) of that is never being sure if I had reinstalled the seals correctly, and wondering whether or not the vaporizer was therefore operating at optimum efficiency.

And then there's all those times I found myself staring at the Mighty in all its plastic glory, suspecting that I had fallen for the hype of the masses – times when I would ask myself:

I paid how much for this thing?

That alone is worth the price of de-admission.

I kept my Solo II, purchased a Fury 2 (now sold), a Fury Edge, a Fierce, and an OmniVonG – and am quite content. I throw the glass tubes and Omni condenser, tip and mouthpiece into iso-al, and I'm finished my cleaning. No seals. No bewilderment. No buyer's remorse.

Just vapour – each time, every time.

if you're cleaning your vapes after each use, the Mighty is definitively the wrong device for you :D

I practically became a vapor snob thanks to fury2 and all glass vapor pathways...also, used an odin vape with the old school glass dyna vape inserted into the herb chamber for all glass vapor ... plastic is unclean LOL

Exactly. And what's with all this talk about the marvels of "German engineering"?

Hans: With what sort of material will we make this vaporizer?
Frans: My superior German engineering sensibilities lead me to propose that we use plastic!
Hans: But how will we get away with charging an exorbitant price?
Frans: By reminding the consumer that we are German!
Hans: Wönderbar!
This is the best that German engineering can come up with?

And the Mighty's less-than-mighty warm up time? Is this another example of German engineering at its best?

it reminds me of an iolite butane vape honestly ,,, the look of it anyway... I'm sure it works for what it is designed to work for ... maybe some glass is in their future models instead of plastic

why isnt crafty on your list? i have been researching vapes for like two weeks. after this time i decided to get a splinter z-on demand convection heating and supposedly extremely flavorfull and efficient. i have used convetion home vape before and the flavour end efficiency is truly remarkable (e-nano).

if i hadnt ordered the splinter z, i would have gotten a fierce (edge if the battery life wasnt a concern like with yourself) or an arizer go. and you van preload even those argo stems....

I really appreciate this thread. I’m always reading posts about how great the Mighty is, to the point where I felt like I was missing out by not having it. The posts here highlighting the shortcomings of the Mighty have helped dissipate that feeling for me. Cheers!

At the risk of dating myself: do you remember the phenomena of pet rocks? Yes, pet rocks! They were a huge hit. How did they become such a huge hit? Did they become this merely by virtue of what they are?
