I agree with both of you, I want to support retailers who build good products and provide good communication. In this case I want him in the shop knocking these things out, I been lurking on this thread for months now waiting to see how this turns out. I love it but man the waiting.

Mine is sitting in pre-shipment (according to the USPS at least so who knows?)

Update: after checking with Marc the USPS tracking info just wasn’t updating, which I know can happen with them. It’ll just be a surprise I suppose!

Got another Email asking to choose what finish i wanted and would be shipped next week.
I could not buy as the package would be marked as a portable vaporizer and that is a big no no.

Same boat.

I haven't asked Marc about shipping and don't plan on asking. Don't get me wrong...I want mine badly. I really enjoy my FW5 and have been anxiously waiting for the FW6's release. This said, I have to imagine that Marc wants these in our hands even more than we do and I'd rather give him space to do what he needs to do. Based on communications from him thus far, I can tell that he wants to make sure things are absolutely right before shipping any more out. I appreciate this approach vs. a rushed one even if that means a little bit of a wait. Really looking forward to mine and hope everyone gets to try one soon.

As an FYI, website has been updated to show the FW6 in the store but obviously currently out of stock:

I recall the packages only just listing ”Firewood” in the return address, and nothing else overt. I feel someone would have to do some real sleuthing to figure out what’s contained, personally.

I was told it would state 'portable vaporizer' on the customs declaration.
Not recommended to get shipped to the EU.

I am in UK. FW5 arrived without issue from marc, although there was customs charges.

I have never had any problems (other than customs charges) from deliveries outside the EU.

However i agree a more inventive description would be better. If i send abroad i usually put the description "electronic heater", "portable heater", "Aromotheraphy device" or "project parts".

I love USPS Informed Delivery. Firewood 6 is currently scheduled to arrive this Friday! Does anyone have any questions about the FW6 that they would like for us to try to answer when we have ours?

I curious to hear about the heater and how powerful it is in comparison to previous versions of the FW.

Edit: I'd also like to know about preferred draw style. Previous models seemed to like a longer 12-15 second slow - medium speed draw.

Flavor (of course), stirring needed?

And all the new device info. Please gush about the build quality, ease of use,...

Happy for you. Sad for me. Mine is still in Pre-shipment mode. (Insert emoji: refreshing browser every 20 minutes)
Mine was allegedly in pre-shipment but has subsequently been updating as it’s been scanned at other stops. Marc mentioned the USPS sometimes doesn’t scan when receiving, however they went out Monday. You can also use USPS’s shipping cost calculator to figure out an estimated day of arrival, by using the origin zip code and the destination. It lets you backdate the send date for Monday. Good luck!

Hey does anyone know if the Massachusetts vaping ban is going to affect the Firewoodv6 launch? It looks to be a 4 month temp ban, caused by all the recent news surrounding cartridges but apparently applies to all vaping sales (nicotine and weed) ( https://www.apnews.com/48359af03a034eacbb315971db005e58 )

I ask because my local dispensaries have straight up removed the whole vaping section from their menu (carts/volcano/etc) and I doubt they would sell me a vape in person. Not sure how the headshops are affected by this, gonna check in with one later

Wow, that’s crazy. What a short-sighted, vague and overly broad course of action too. Hopefully this doesn’t impact Firewood. And without going off into a political tangent, it’s crazy how quickly those in power are trying to take action on the perceived “vape crisis” vs. way more impactful public health threats like I don’t know, maybe: alcohol, tobacco and firearms?
