I find S&B capsules handy for traveling and helping to keep the CI clean with the Mighty, other things suffer as a consequence though, taste, and clouds drop off when using them.:2c: S/S would help more with conduction but I would say that is a negative.:myday:

... Boom Shiva !
Ghost MV1 is great with its potent top quality vapor. What would be a similar level of vapor quality vape, had a mighty before but need purer flavor like MV1.

What should my choices be :-
Tubo Tetra
Lil Bud Elite
Another Ghost MV1 backup in rotation

splinter?

I have one now, going to try it soon. Gonna do wattage mode first then cruise mode.

I have a funny feeling storz and bickle is gonna micronize the plenty. if you look at the plenty and look at the splinter they are similar in the bowl area.

I find there's a sweet spot in between packing too light or too tight. My go to technique is to scoop my ground herb and tap the side of the crucible so everything settles into place. A good consistency medium grind (BCG in my case) is my favorite for achieving this.

@bbchucks
I find my CBD flower acts the way you describe, with very little visible vapour on the first hit. If I start on yellow 1 or 2 with a "heavy" THC strain and my unit is cold it'll act somewhat the same. Yellow 3 and up or swapping for another crucible immediately and I'll get nice vapour.

My CBD strains aren't coated in trichomes like my THC strains which is where I think the lack of vapour comes into effect. The effects are there just not the visible vapour. That's my slightly educated guess.

@Brewervapesalot
Did you ask Ghost on their live chat about a new unit? I did and was told "...we are developing the new gen of the MV1. Not sure what we'll call it yet."

Other then that it could be a month, it could be 2 years. No company is going to give a concrete response without a finished product, that would be a nightmare. I wasn't paying attention when the MV1 launched but there were definitely some teething issues. Heck, there still is "some" issues that continue to pop up but I'm not bothered one bit. Ghost smashes the competition with their industry leading customer service, it not a comparison for most and is something I'm very vocal about because they've won me as a customer for life. My above question to them stemmed from a question about a desktop vape which they said by they have no plans to make currently. If these issues were such a big deal you would hear about it more, like the 2019 VapCap M "groove issue" affecting airflow for instance. Not to mention their stellar customer service the device kicks some serious ass. Nothing compares to how smooth the vapour is, my favorite feature, but I love the crucible system, I love the space ship design, it's super comfortable to hold, and the heat up time is crazy fast.

Edit: my eyes aren't fully awake, I'll stop editing haha.

So, I’ve had my MV1 for about 3 weeks.

The first 2 weeks were great. Then - I bought the fast charger. Now, after using it, I am having various issues that seem to be battery related. The unit wouldn’t produce vapor one night; it wasn’t even getting warm. It did the next day but at all temps, the vapor seemed to be different than before, like at 50% levels or something. Then the app started showing the battery level cycle from full to low and then back to full, even though the battery had just recently been fully charged. In one instance, after a total of about 10 draws (3 crucibles) after fully charging, the app showed the battery level as “low”. I then checked it 5 minutes later and the app said “full’’. So, color me confused and disappointed.

I have submitted a ticket with Ghost and they have been responsive so far.

Have any of you had similar issues that seem to be tied to the battery or fast charger?

I have 4 batteries but only use 2 of them. 2 of the batteries from the same lot do not seem to work consistently so I don't use them.

I use the fast charger on the other 2 batteries and have found that if I change to a fresh battery after a couple of crucibles I get more consistent vapor.

I have the same issue with the battery showing drained in the app then fully charged.

I have 12 batteries and am currently testing to see if that has been part of my problems....I will say about the app IME I was constantly changing temps through the day and would start to have issues where machine was hotter than temp selected, or just plain hotter and seriously wonder if app is issue....also noticed battery level of full batteries not always correct in app as stated above....I no longer use app....button presses for me! My current unit is solid so far....so
@Herbie you are not alone.......

Footnote: the haze square had issues where batteries affected output....just info

Last night I loaded my crucibles and changed to a freshly charged battery. During the session the vapor was very wispy however I did feel a little medicated. Inserted the second crucible and the vapor was still wispy. I removed and reinserted the battery. After turning the unit back on with the heat settings the same the inhale about blew my head off and the vapor was very thick.

One problem I will note: My wife was complaining about the high pitched whine coming from the unit while using. My first MV1 did not have the whine but the latch broke.

reading through these threads I keep hearing about people removing battery, but I do not know why? is it to reset something when she is acting funny?

I used to remove the battery after a session to put the MV1 into sleep mode otherwise the blue tooth would run the battery down. Now I don't because I use a freshly charged battery for every session. Last night was the first time I tried pulling the battery and putting it back in. I was surprised that the vapor changed so dramatically just from pulling and replacing the battery.

I have worked on electronic equipment since 1981 and it really doesn't make sense to me. I could see if the contacts were dirty and would not allow the full current to flow, but they are clean.

I'm sure the engineers are aware of the issue and hopefully the next version of the MV1 will have these problems worked out.

When the MV1 is working it delivers the best flavor and vapor. Unfortunately more often than not I'm left wondering why I'm not getting the good hits.

It's funny should mention this because I had similar concerns and so I switched to not using the fast charger for a bit. Getting a new MV1 seemed to fix the problem but 2 days ago I vaped 3 crucibles, left the battery on (I usually remove/replace) and then the next day had 3 crucibles before it died. Bluetooth drain is more likely the issue but I'll try to do some more controlled tests between my 4 batteries (1 hasn't been used yet) and charging with the fast charger or slow charge method.

If your unit is ever acting up have you tried turning off the unit, removing and replacing the battery and starting a new session? Someone gave me that tip a little while ago and there's been a few times where for whatever reason that seems to fix any issues I'm having. If you hit the fire button consecutively you can cause a misfire that'll put the MV1 into some sort of a protect mode and disengaging the battery is the only way to take it out of that protect mode or so I was told.

@Darwinci
All 3 of mine have had the whine. The first whined the least but it had heater issues. I like the above only because I can gauge the condition of my battery with its intensity, but I can see how it would drive a lot of people nuts. It was actually one thing I was concerned about before buying the unit because little things like that tend to usually bug me but it never bugged me at all.

@david8613

As @Darwinci said, it's to stop the Bluetooth drain but also to "reset" the unit if it's having issues like a mis-fire, at least from what I've been told. There was some talk of the first fire being more powerful but I can't say for sure. That was either here or on Vapelife.

Still love my MV1 despite the quirks. I've been having 3 back to back crucibles the last few evenings and I'm on another planet. I tried meditating (which I don't do enough) and it was intense, changed my perspective a little actually. Obviously this comes down to the strain but either way it is an efficient unit.

Funny you should bring that up....IME I believe.this is.true....has happened to me and I can replicate easily....

IMO I think when you insert a battery, the unit believes its firing up a cold unit and to get heater to vaping temps, the initial heatup is more.hotter than secondary hit , and so on..... The Haze Square (which I hate to bring up cause there is no comparison in the two but stating facts) initial heating was higher to get heater/ material ready.for vaping temps...this of course caused many a combustion which is not the same issue here but shows how first.hits could be hotter due to battery/ unit.......hope it helps....

I used my mv1 last night. It's so different than my other vapes, I use it at 2 yellow lights temperature, and bump to 3 yellow to finish and I dont get the volume of vapor like with my mighty and splinter, but the vapor is much nicer, gentle, cooler and I still get the effects, and effects I get are more smoother, relaxing body high. I got to try it at high temp to see what happens.

Fair warning .....it packs a punch higher you go....enjoy!

So I typically vape in my garage, sitting down, reading FC, VL, reddit etc. and earlier this week I decided I should multi task and take my dogs (one at a time) for a walk/run while I vape 2 or 3 crucibles. More then that I'm trying to be more healthy overall in my life but that's another story. Since I bought my MV1 I've wondered what the performance in cooler weather would be like and so far my concerns have been put to rest. I swear it works better, which is impossible, but wow I'm having great walks/runs.

This is where the adjustable mouthpiece really shines. If I'm sitting I can pull the mouth piece to the "click" spot and am able to control my breath for perfect hits, but when I'm moving around especially walking for a hit after I've just been running, it's very hard for me to inhale at a consistent speed. All I need to do is push the mouthpiece in a little to increase draw resistance and I'm golden. You mentioned the sweet spot earlier so I wanted to add that tid bit of info for anyone it may help.

I'm really enjoying the taste of Peyote Critical in my MV1, it has a "sourdough" like taste and gets me absolutely blasted. I like the fruity flavours for the most part usually like Gelato or Blueberry Kush but variety is the spice of life.
