Regarding infusing ABV into coconut oil the sous vide way, I understand that the recommended time frame is four hours at 185F.
What are the upsides and downsides to infusing for longer, even up to 10 hours for example?

PS I use a smallish Ball jar lightly closed which my infusions almost completely fill.
For decarbing I can see the bag (I use my Nova for fresh decarb) but for infusing I think it has to be very messy and wasteful with the bag.
It doesn't seem like fun. Especially the hand vacuum sealing part with oil or liquid butter.
The jar is almost perfect size wise. More perfect if I add more of both.
PPS For straining I use a potato ricer with a coffee filter that's been washed and drained. Very important.
Otherwise the filter will absorb alot of the oil.
I go through about 3 filters through the process, I do it little by little for maximum yield.
I'm pretty sure I'm getting results just about equal to the Magical Butter Machine with the sous vide,
and the infusion from the sous has a different quality to it. The high is different. I prefer what it does to me.
