I sent mine and the USPS delivered it back to me. How do you spell "schmuck"?
Pappy ,we are sending cards from the store, they are coming back also. this case, the machine is reading our zip instead of addressed, ours is bolder and shows up to the machine. They reccomend crossing out, ours, it is working. Our card is a bit busy also, hard for the machine to get it quickly.

The next thing they're going to do is teach my postman to walk and talk!

It sucks that the post office is set up to deliver mail back to you more efficiently than where it was meant to go.

But the average postman is a decent guy working for the nation's largest employer (at one point it was, anyway). That has to blow..

My Uncle, a good man (township trustee who dug graves (( isn't it always raining when a grave needs dug)) and other shit work because it needed to be done) walked a route of about 12 miles a day, with a bag that got heavier every year with bullshit advertising. This requiring more man hours / more men every year. Hardly the postal worker's fault. Put the blame where it belongs... don't blame the Private for what the Generals command! Hats off to postal workers... (most of them, anyway) Rant of the day, OVER !

Yeah, toe the line, write out our address large, in block letters, I guess... or stick a post card in an envelope as several (who obviously know something we (all) didn't) have done.

+++

Here are a couple that hang on the shop wall. RIP Leslie Nielsen, I put this one (winning number written on the back as a reminder) up a few days before he passed. And the other is an home-made one that I like a lot.

Two more good guesses, but not prize winners. Well, not yet.

Some un-announced prizes to be awarded at the end.

Pammy showed off 'Second Prize' yesterday in the PD thread. A beautiful Silver and Sea Glass Necklace that any Mom, or wife or girlfriend wold love. A one of a kind piece. Check our site for more details on this and other wonderful stuff from our friends in Maine.

This will go to an entry selected at random from all post cards. So even if you think your guess would be way off you have a great chance at a great prize.

Also other un-announced prizes to be awarded at the end.

Well, I thought I was WAYYY off, but I guess not. Glad I switched my guess before i touched the postcard with the pen, literally last second.

Good to know you got mine.....sucks that I now know I blew it hahaha

I might kill myself if my first guess was closer.....when I find out in 27-28 days.

Hey supra, was that your card next to mine on that pile of PDs a couple posts back. Just thought it was a funny coincidence that our cards were side by side and that we both have a log vape and an iolite.

Hello,

Yep it is (the earth one)....as long as no one has sent the same one lol

I saw the pic as I was scrolling down and my brain immeadiately thought.....my guess was actually good?, king of the heap!

then i read the fine print.....heartbreak

that and the fact i realized there were actually 2 postcards in the pic

hahaha

I have to live vicariously through my postcard as its about as close I will get to that beautiful PD :(

Welcome to the forum HoneyBee.

Here is the latest, but not a winner yet.

A bright entry !
Still plenty of room to beat the current King of the Heap.

Oopa, missed that Lwien, I used a screw counter for sure, but it wasn't me or Pammy, small parts are counted by weight these days, it seems. Not perfect, but it's the number I am given. And it's not my scale. Accurate . . . and written down... ;)

A couple more cards came in but Pammy's camera is packed away and she is on her way. More pictures of cards next week when she returns.

A question came up about multiple entries from one address. No problem as long each person is unique user-name.

For those that like the post cards check out the Annual PD 4-20 contest from this year, not sure if anybody can top some of those entries. http://www.fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=2127

Yippeee! Pammy is back today!

We will pick up any post cards that arrived in the last week and see what guesses we get.

Pammy says, "post cards don't travel as fast as regular mail", so with two weeks left and the Holiday postal over-load, well... don't wait till the last minute. The deadline is 4:20 Mountain time on December 31, 2010. Late arrivals (wrong decade?) will not be considered.

Even if you aren't a good guesser you may still win a prize.

Another good guess, but not closer than the current King of the Heap.
