I hesitantly will say I can make coil adapters upon request ... although you might have to wait a bit depending what my time is like and what parts I have kicking around (or if i have to place an order ... I can of course place an explicit order for someone ... but then one person is absorbing that extra $10 in shipping cost as opposed to the parts being part of another order I am placing anyways)

When I blew the fuse with the DNail coil, I took the front off my Menovo and tried to get the back off but it would not budge in an attempt to rewire myself (gave up as I did not want to accidentally break my only PID at the time).
I might give it another try, another look anyway, it can't be any harder than following a Youtube video to find and replace popped capacitors on the motherboard of my 52" Samsung TV. (no one around here fixes any electronics anymore)

Edit; I wonder if it might be the SiC I don't like as my best tasting herb vape is my WoodScents, lots of Ti but much lower temps though

So I've been using my new coil and nail over the weekend and was just curious if anyone had any tips on optimal usage although I know it can vary.

I've primarily been a torch user and have been trying to get the email functioning well. Initially without using terp balls, I felt like I was wasting a lot of wax and I would just watch it puddle up and move on the bottom and didn't seem to get very vaporous hits, trying temps from 400-575 or so and although the hits got more vapor at hitter temperatures, it still seemed like a lot would goop up.

I tried using the terp balls and put all 3 quartz ones in that it came with and the hits definitely seemed to get more vapor around temps of 500, similar to amount of vapor with a torch however they felt like they got quite a bit more harsh. I find myself taking a hit and coughing and by the time I try to take a second it tastes kind of burnt or stale. If I lower the temps I feel like I get almost no vapor out of the hits.

Would using only one or 2 balls make a difference? Would Ruby balls make a difference in the "harshness"?

I've been fairly happy with it, it's better than my old setup with a ti/quartz flatcoil nail but something about using a torch seems to initially get me more ripped or give me more of a rush with it where as the email almost reminds me of a vaporizer. I also feel like the 30mm setup may have been a bit too big for me and would have gone with 25 in hindsight but I can look into getting another coil and banger later.

It does for me, 3 seem to get 'bogged' more than 2. I seem to like about 460f dish temp on quartz or SiC but I get the coughs at higher temps, more quickly with SiC (along with the face slap).

I want to look into getting Ruby balls or a dish insert eventually when I can afford that and try it out and continuing to play with temps. I don't have a hear gun to measure my actual nail and am just going off the controller display.

You should definitely get yourself an IR gun; it's a worthwhile investment and they can be had on sale for <$20. (I got mine from Canadian Tire for ~$30 ... regular price ~$100)

Thank you guys for the insight, went with quartz inserts (asked shane for 1 of each), will save the ruby insert for a later date.

Do you have any of the following on order?

4mm Ruby Pearls
4mm Sapphire Pearls?

I presently use a 5mm, and it's okay but I really feel that 4mm would be my sweet spot!

@710Coils What is the new width of the ruby inserts? Also have you used the SIC inserts yet are they worth the wait?

@biohacker the following kit of 10 different sizes up o 6mm might help you decide what size suits you best, only available in SiC, but many sizes to try;

23mm wide
20mm tall
3mm thick side walls and base

I can also get 5mm ruby pearls. But haven't heard of any other sizes for the SiC pearls I will ask about other sizes for them and report back =)

Thanks bro, but I know what size I want... 4mm! The 6mm are WAY too big IMO, and the 3mm are WAY too small (I prefer just a single pearl vs multiples). 5mm isn't bad and it's what i've used for over a year now, but 4mm I think would be even better. It's not a need, more of a nice to have/want I also only have the sapphire pearls, so the ruby would be a nice touch to match my insert.

Damn, one of the SiC balls got sucked into the banger neck and is totally stuck there right at the narrow point in the 90 degree bend.

Not sure the best way to get it out without breaking the banger. Any suggestions?

I'd soak it in ISO (if sticky) for a bit and then a q-tip without the cotton end (slightly bent) from the joint end to help it out of there.

I will try ISO but it's just far enough in the tube that a q-tip doesn't reach--from either end. Maybe a bent paper clip? But I don't know if the pressure would Crack the stem.

Not sure if hot water or putting in the freezer would work or be safe.

Try a wooden/bamboo skewer or thin coat hanger wire to tap out from the joint or use a hose on the joint end to blast with water, just be careful not to turn the SiC ball into a bullet and break the wall of your banger.

@OyVape ... maybe boiling water? And some PBW if you have it? Or hot ISO? (The SiC shouldn't expand at all so should be safe from that perspective ...)

Also maybe some olive oil or something to make it slippery? And a pipe cleaner doubled up to give it a little nudge?

The pearls do not need to spin fast to work and actually work better when barely moving around. They are to add dimension to the heating area and will help vaporize your dab faster, so you get more flavor before

Are you actually sold out of the pre-sale for the new 30mm inserts? ... been considering picking one up but I guess it'll have to wait for the next batch if you are all out

@JCat I am waiting to hear if I can scoop a few more with my current order and if so, will add another 5 to 10 to the mix =)

They have gone fairly quick with the 15% off sale. I think I sold 4 yesterday

Well, fortunately the pearl came out with just a light poke with an unbent paper clip when it was cold. But that taught me not to use pearls that are small enough to escape into the neck! This one was 5mm. Never happened with a 6mm ruby pearl.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Especially @JCat, good to know that SiC doesn't expand with heat.
