I’m still surprised at how cool the vapor is out of this. I thought I’d use it exclusively with water but most of the time I hit it dry.

I think it was due to me holding down the button in wattage mode too long while cleaning the carbon off the dish at 30 W and not pulsing. All of a sudden a spark happened in the donut area.

My posts became loose from all the wiping of the dish and needed to be re-tightened from time to time. So if your reading no atomizer, I would inspect that area before replacing the heater.
did you use water or iso? I did the same but i had iso underneath the cup so it was my fault.

I really wish the leads on the heater were thicker to help with the wobble.

I cracked my first heater. Cup bubbled over and got under the cup that I didn't notice.

I replaced and working again.

I seem to get a lot of splatter/build up on the cap. Maybe loading too much?

I'm planning on getting a Voopoo Drag for this and just use my Pico for my SAI TAF.

The one thing I need for this, is a spiked stem that goes right in the cap ... preferably a nice thick one! Will really make the experience that much better!

Something like this:

I find it works best for me when I load enough for one/one and a half hits. I also wipe the mouthpiece along with the bowl after each load.

I liked your post but before to seen the vid... it looks like it's only a lighter, isn't it?

Maybe it might work for vaping purpose but you need to build a glass attachment to keep the ceramic heater close of the herb without to touch it (and to reduce airflow and keep it close of the ceramic in order to heat air better).

Great info, guys. Was feeling some VAS but Sai TAF bucket is fine for now. 5 sec heat up alone cuts stealth factor and that is key for me.
But if I had nothing and wanted best taste at home this is looking sweet.

The V4 is in every aspects a improved version of the QuartzQuest, I liked the QQ but it was too much erratic to use, you never know if you get a wispy/too hot/perfect hit... about that the V4 is still a bit erratic but not enough to be unable to predict hits, there is still a learning curve but way shorter!

Repost from reddit because /waxpen has an insane 30 day wait to ask questions I wont have in 30 days.

Start:
I've had nothing but issues with the DTV4 using the recommended settings as well as other users from this boards and have never been able to get a hit out of it. Extremely experienced with the electrical side of things and have been vaping since 2008 and I'm at a loss as to why I'm clearly not getting any vapor off either included donuts and quartz on any of my mods. I've used a vaporesso luxe, dna 250c box, and a pico running arctic fox that all work fine in TC mode with everything else I own but I cant get this thing hot enough to start vaping outside of wattage mode or using CCW to mimic pulsing.

So far I've regretted the whole purchase because I threw in the e-nail bundle since it seemed like DT was heavily active in the community and I figured that if I had any problems I'd be able to sort it out quickly but had day 1 issues because my carb cap came broken, the banger is too small for the coil, and the barrel coil so warped that its unusable without adding something like foil to transfer heat.

I explained my issues and the steps I'd taken to resolve them in detail and only received copy pasta responses from the manual. Eventually I just gave up because I felt like I was getting the run around by an overseas service and clearly this was not who posts as Divine tribe on the fuckcombustion forums. I had to go out and buy new bangers, new mods, and several carb caps hoping it would be an easy fix for the e-nail and dtv4 and last I'd talked to CS they hadn't offered to do anything about replacing the coil that's got a 1 year warranty or about the warped glass.

At this point I'm bummed about the dtv4 and think that i could have gotten some dud coils or something but shouldn't have to spend more to find out myself when the retailer is offering a 1 year warranty on all of these items.

Honestly I'd be happy either getting some kind of refund for the stuff I had to replace out of pocket along with a new coil since I was willing to see if it was fixable at first but now just want everything that came defective replaced with a known working unit or to ship everything back for a refund.

Sorry for the rant, but I'd rather try to get some help or a way to contact DT personally for help instead of who I've been talking to if possible instead of having to contact my bank because I cant afford to be out $300 no matter how highly regarded this guy when afaik I should have at least been able to get the coil mailed back and exchanged no questions asked.

I'd appreciate whatever help anyone can give me on what to do with all this stuff. Only thing I've gotten any use from was the water pipe and that's only because I'm totally vapeless until my cloud evo comes back from getting serviced and I am unable to safely operate a blowtorch due to my psychical limitations.

So you say it's working in power mode so we know the heater is not completely defective right?

Then if it's too cold in TC mode, there has to be a way to offset the temperature to some usable range. You can use a combination of A) increasing the TCR value and B) applying an offset to your cold resistance reading and locking that (don't recall which way up or down you should go out of my head though, you'll have to experiment)

If using TFR instead of TCR you would have to create a custom curve/table with increased coefficients.

Send @divinetribe (Matt) a PM here and I believe he will get you sorted out (I've always had great service from him, but my starting point of contact with him has always been through this forum)

FYI @Enialis ... I'm running the following settings:

Ni200 TFR on my DNA250C, resistance set @ 0.5-0.51 not locked, 38W, 475F

For my Pico75, I'm using pretty much the exact same settings w/ AF.

Edit: The one other thing I meant to mention, is make sure the screws are good and tight. One of my 2 DTv4's, after a couple uses, wasn't working right, and it was just the screws holding the donut coil that needed tightening.

Personnaly I'm using approximatively the settings Matt recommends in the user guide without AF or FJ firmware: Ni mode, 260°C and 32W

This is the device I was waiting for long, basically an enail in a very small and handy design. Taste, clouds and smoothness are on pair with my HighFive Sic or Quartz dish used at 520-550°F, no more harsh tokes and painfull learning curve. Just took a yummy rosin dab from an Hybrid Afgani/local Sativa, so delicious!

... I forgot to mention,

I'm using Arctic Fox firmware on a Wismec rx2 20700 mod.
I've got the resistance locked at .53 ohms.
Some people have a problem with their TC not operating properly, and it could very well be the resistance setting. If set wrong, the device will not reach the proper temperature.

Speaking of Arctic Fox firmware, it now features a 60 second puff cutoff, and 'autofire' mode, which is basically on forever until u click, handy for devices like the Splinter Z, or Divine Tribe dry herb vaporizer.

You can read the MANUAL for Arctic Fox here. You can get Arctic Fox here (as of the date of this post, check the FORUM for the latest version), or, for color screens, Red Panda right here. Check the MANUAL for the list of compatible devices, on page 4.

Please read the MANUAL to learn how to install this firmware onto your mod, I won't be answering questions about how to install it.

Here's an image of Red Panda on an Espion 200w mod:

And here's Arctic Fox on a Wismec RX2 20700 mod:
(There are 3 different screen themes, using this one right now)

Also, the data can be arranged, like, instead of "last" I could have the amperage showing.
Or many other statistics of the mod, such as board temp, or live coil resistance.

Load of options. I mean loads. Probably more than you know what to do with, but simple to use at the same time.

So, check page 4 of the manual to see which mods take this firmware, and give it a try !!
Highly recommended !

So, I have been concentrating on E-Rigs lately and not Pens. But I just got the Sai TAF Plus and the V4 quartz ordered. Whats is the current Go-To inexpensive battery for the V4, Sai TAF Plus, Et. I used to just get Joyetech Evics, Cuboid mini's or whatever was cheapest and flash them to Artic Fox to customize. What is the Best current mod to put artic fox on? most of them have a little color or touch screen and I doubt AF works on those. Is there a better choice now for stock or other firmware mods? What is the Go-To $30 battery for customizable TC (Fully customizable TCR ranges and past a 10 sec. cutoff)

Edit: Duh, post above mine I see Red Panda on an Espion 200. That would work.
What is the best current setup for a mod/firmware for the money right now?

I don't want to splurge on the DNA mod, maybe the best value Red Panda flashable device? What would you guys suggest?
Edit 2: I went ahead and grabbed some Joyetech Espion's , it was between that and the ravage 230. I have 2-3 weeks before all arrive, I will keep you posted once I get them and the atty's in and dialed in.

Well !
You didn't give us much time to reply, he he.

There are sales and cheap prices for other mods that take Arctic Fox if you're willing to wait two weeks for delivery...
I'll get together a bit of a list for the thread in the near future.
For now, I can say Sourcemore and Vapesourcing have some great deals on newish mods that take the Arctic Fox firmware, again, if you'r e willing to wait for your device.

I've found my Wismec RX2 20700 out-performs my Espion 200w, but the menu isn't as fancy.

Hey guys,

I got a chance to try the new titanium cup for the Divine Tribe V4 Quartz Crucible !

Click here to see my review of it!

Very nice! If Matt offers the same discount for the full set that he offered for the quartz version, I’ll just get a whole new atomizer when the titanium version comes out. That way I can just grab the whole atomizer instead of trying to manually swap the cup.

Is that some concentrate leaking down the heater legs on that last picture? I was about to order a DT4 but if it still has the same "flaw" (to me at least) than the previous versions, I'm more hesitant now...

The bucket has a sealed floor so nothing should drip through the legs, but the atomizer design is still exposed for condensation to occur outside of the bucket.
