Lonesome Planet
Hi everyone! I have a question, after I tell you my little story with the vapcap:

I bought it like a couple of years ago. Loved the whole "artisanal/manual" feel to it, clean all steel design, etc.

However after some months my sleep was completely fucked up, because for some reason I had to keep drinking water throughout the night. Took me some time, but I then realized the hot vapour was drying up my throat/mouth badly (I usually vape as a sleep/relaxation aid, last thing at night). I bought a water bong, boom all good, that solved it. I also used to cough a little at the last hit, with the bong that all went away.

However now I keep seeing people rave about the glass charlie stems. And they look very sexy and interesting.

So here is my question: Do you think one of those would work for someone with sissy-sensitive throat (never smoked in my life btw)? Does it cool the vapour enough to ditch the bong?

Thanks for any insight on this.

If you do decide to get one, you may save yourself some time/$ if you get one with some heft,
Meaning one with (at least) 2mm walls.

Not too cumbersome, nor too thin ( my inverse spiked one broke as I was putting a VC tip in,
Much to my horror  ). It will last a bit longer. Glass will inevitably break, in time, however.

RWW has his OG with the heft, as do some others.

Will users notice any difference in air intake differences or usability? Appears to be another cool looking body but scratching my head on the "evolution" part of it. Certainly has its panache over the missionary-style Vongs

Maybe a CNC 'evolution'? I'm sure it's quite a feat

Based on that teaser I feel the same. Honestly the fat mouthpiece with the hole cut a bit larger has excellent airflow already, so this would have to be a whole other level for me to want it.

I am thinking my Aomai lighter is defective. Is there any trick im missing? I tried playing with the gas adjustment from low, middle, high, etc and it doesnt work. I can hear gas and the flint is striking. Only thing that makes sense is the gas is coming out but not coming out of the correct area

Are we sure it's healthy? I often feel the bad taste of the lighter gas.

- premium butane burns cleaner than cheap butane. burning 99.99 pure butane when oxigen is plentiful, results in carbon dioxide CO2, and water vaper H2O
- the vapcap is heated before inhalation, not while inhalation, so their is no flame present when in use - making the vapcap a cleaner product than butane vapes that you inhale while the flame is still burning

Sounds perfectly defective to me.

I'd definitely send it back and demand a replacement.

*edit*
Obviously, I say this, assuming you have done the purging of gas from the lighter and refilling and trying all the different adjustments like others have recommended first.

Try a full purge then refill

Shes a goner. Purged it and refilled, no dice. Leaving the gas on and using another torch, I can see the flame but it goes out instantly if I move the other torch away. Thanks for the tips

EDIT: Got it to work but it only works at a very specific gas range and isnt reliable (sometimes 1 flick, 3 or even 5 needed). Sounds like that doesnt mirror your experiences?

Mine has definitely become my go-to torch. Sorry to hear about the troubles with yours. I hope things work out for you with it.
(or another lighter you ARE happy with.)

Happy Vaping!

The exception to this I find is the Lotus. While you DO heat it live with a torch you are heating the plate on the top when the air inlets are on the bottom. Any butane fumes would rise due to the heat and never be anywhere near the air inlets.
