Hello All,

Vapwood is constantly moving forward, trying to produce innovative products. The latest in that line is the Timber 510 mod box for dry herb 510 devices, which have become quite popular. Timber 510 is based exclusively on the Timber Elite design, which incorporates a single li-ion battery with the state of the art DNA 75C control board from Evolv.

510 devices are exploding on the vape market, and with no mod box dedicated to dry herb vaping - a void in the market. Timber 510 fills this void, and is equipped with the same circuit board that drives the Elite, but with the ability to attach your favorite 510 dry herb device. Enjoy pre-programming for dry herb TC, wattage mode, preheat, and replay.

I will offer the Timber 510 as a stand alone mod box that you can pair with your favorite 510 device. I also have plans to offer it with the instaHeat, as a special vape package (name TBD). Either way, this all wood, hand crafted mod box will pair perfectly with your 510 device. Now available as a pre-order only.

You gotta love developing new products, even though it can create lots of anxiety and frustration trying to nail it all down. Each build / attempted build uncovers the next piece or pieces of the puzzle that needs to be solved. Previously the issue was one battery terminal (the one right under the 510), and how to connect and maintain necessary clearance. Today I made some major progress on that front, but uncovered another challenge, how to securely anchor the 510 connector itself. I think I figured out what will make it easier: a) just the right wrench to hold the narrow nut in place b) and making use of the big X on the face of every 510. This serves as a way to hold the unit in place while tightening down on the nut. It's gotta be really, really tight due to the way the fitting screws on and off, exerting rotational force every time you assemble / disassemble. These are minor hurdles, as I feel the concept is sound, and this is just part of the process. You can probably look forward to about a month or so of getting closer and closer to the final product. Lots of work, but the pay off will be at the very end.

:o Fantastic!
This is what a 510 dry herb atty mod should be and look like.
No more searching for fake wood looking mod skins. No more hunting down discontinued DNA C chipped mods etc.

This should do very well.

This looks very interesting! I’ve been thinking about getting into 510 vapes. One of my “issues” is that I have battery anxiety. For someone not familiar, can you share why it’s better to go with a 75w mod instead of 250w? I would assume the 250 would be much larger and have more battery.

Thank you!

None of the dry herb attys I know of go anywhere near 75w, so why pay extra for a board with more power that you will never ever use? The battery is separate from the board and I do wish this had an option for 21700 batteries since it’s a single battery mod.

I think he meant with a DNA250 he could use up to 3 cells, thus tripling battery life, and relieving his anxiety...

Put your anxiety to rest. If paired with the iH, I expect battery life to be on scale with the Elite. I average 8 sessions per charge on relatively old batteries. Evolv has done a remarkable job at battery management.

The board has a 75 watt capacity, nice to only use like 25 or 30. But the board comes with a one second preheat feature I set at 60. In TC mode the board will deliver watts necessary to reach set temp. You can see all this play out on the escribe software.

One step closer, a *working* prototype... I still need to solve a couple of issues, but making progress.
I need to learn the 510 fitting, how best to work with it, what specific adjustments need to happen to accommodate the fitting. The good news is I've worked out the internal wiring, board mortise, and battery mortise. Here it is with bottom fire button, may wind up here or on top, or maybe a choice.

The Timber 510 paired with the instaHeat from @Alan, and it's no taller than a HCigar mod box.

@Bravesst please tell me you didn’t abandon this beautiful project! it’s exactly the type of thing I and many others are searching for to power our 510s.
