RBT is changing it's business model to making limited runs of initial product introductions. These runs will be initially released through a pre-order of a limited number of units. To gauge interest RBT will be accepting a blank email to milaana3@rastabuddhatao.com. If sufficient demand exist then a pre-order will be done. Price point will be based on demand as the development cost of the project will be spread over the batch size. This allows RBT to assess the true demand for a project prior to making the investment to develop it.

Same is happening with Zion M so please see that thread if you are interested... and only tell your cool freinds :)

Hoping for a good showing as I would hate to see Milaana die but if the dog wont hunt it gets a bullet. #leanstartup

Email sent...interested.

Thanks fam! Starting here on FC on the QT before headed out to tell the rest of the WWW. The process will be that folks will be emailed a blind link to purchase the pre-order. It will roll like a festival ticket with early bird pricing less than MSRP and increasing in price as release nears. RBT will be moving to a pre-order of limited runs as a biz model given that continual demand is week for the existing products. The hope is that continually doing batch releases of different products is a better model for sustainability... Seed, desktop, 2 battery manual, 14 mm Milaana, Sprout, 18350 Milaana.... Thoughts?

I like the idea and I think whatever works for RBT will work for those who are fans of the the tech. Keep it rolling!

I like it, sir! You should be getting back everything you put in plus profit and not waste any resources/overhead this way.

Thank you very much for thinking about us here at FC and planning on selling your new innovations this way.

I’ve got a Milaana 1.5, so unless this is gonna be significantly different I think I’ll keep my powder dry and wait for the Zion or the desktop.

It's kind of late to be posting this, but Ryan (buddharastatoa) has an IG stream up only for the next 3 hours. It's an 1 hour stream wherein he films within his completed RV & discusses this some, uses the G43 & Z, and discusses the new rbt bus. structure. It's a nice, laid back, & interesting stream. And pleased to note that Ryan finally got a new phone & the high def feed is great. If you can catch it in time, check it out.

guys, just go to the website store and pre-order

Only if you live in the US. I hope (if they're sent in small batches) that non-U.S. customers don't get pushed to the back of the line. I'm not sure how the whole process works though and it sounds like it would be all in one go maybe?

will all units be identical wood or will there be wood options ?

Yeah i wondered that to. I asked if Walnut would be an option. I would take that in a heartbeat.

I though I saw a $49 customes charge on international orders. I would send an email.

I did so immediately with a couple other questions. I missed out on the others and Ryan makes some beautiful pieces. I really hope there is more Spalted Maple in RBT's future :ko:

Oh dear... I live in the UK so I requested a PayPal invoice within 30 minutes of RBT sending the email announcing the Milaana 3 on Friday.

It’s now three days later and I’m still waiting...

I’m on the list for a G43, Nomad and Fluxer Deluxe so I can cope with long waiting times. What I find much harder to deal with is being ignored when I’m trying to get on the waiting list, as I can feel myself slipping further and further down the queue whilst others get in line.
