Volcano Hybrid

Is there a how to write up or video about using the workflow and iteration features?

AFAIK Workflows are going to be one time processes and an iteration is a repeating process. A workflow is mostly being applied to filling a bag at various temps in a single run and an iteration for controlling the whip over a session. They are actually easy to process once I realized you can, in fact, click in the middle of the numerical wheel to input the value with the keypad.

Hybrid is in my hands, what a beauty she is. Works very well, my abv is very dark brown. It was very green and light with my classic even at high temps. I can’t believe how much faster it is, instead of 5 bags, now its 3-4. The whip is very nice, I can’t believe Troy didint even use it in his video? I got massive rips, very thick clouds. Bags are nice and thick, much smoother and tastier than Classic. I can’t connect to the Bluetooth app, any tips??

The Hybrid app requires location permission for a Bluetooth connection so double-check it has access. If you don't want S&B to have your actual location you can spoof the data but it does need the permission to function.

I’m going to order soon but the early failures worry me, I don’t want to buy another vape that needs to be returned just after purchase. Reliability was a big selling point of the classic so I’m hoping for the best with this one.
I’m not so interested it the work flows, I’ll just to what I do with the classic set it on high & go for it.

No matter what I do the temp numbers change when I try to setup a workflow or an iteration.

Man shout out Cream City Vapes, I saw that deal last night thanks to you guys and when I went to purchase it this morning they were sold out and orders were stopped. So I messaged them to see if more were coming because I missed the deal and wanted it at that price point. They got back to me almost immediately and reopened the sale for back orders and allowed me to still get the discount. I am super impressed with their customer service.

Also can't wait to try this thing out!!!

A few things I've noticed with the app.

1) Deleting every workflow/iteration crashes the app (for me.)
2) If you try to change the temp on the automatically added heating step (when making a new workflow/iteration) it will keep setting itself back to 378.

What does work is creating a new workflow/iteration, deleting any steps added automatically, then programing.

When I enter the serial number in the app, the numbers flash red 3 times. I have tried everything, still no luck.

Something I noticed about the workflows demonstration in the review video. When the pump turns off for a few seconds while adjusting to a new temp, the bag begins to loose air. This is the same reason you want to disconnect the bag before you shut off the pump- the valve is open when the bag is on the chimney and there is no positive air pressure to keep the bag inflated.

Why does S&B think this is a good idea?

yep, it does lose a bit of vapor.

it's pretty minuscule, and if you stretch the bag upwards like the instructions state, there's no visible vapor loss at all

@Rollingstoned , couple thoughts, before contacting S&B

The serial number begins with letters, but only enter the digits

Make sure Bluetooth is on and symbol is displayed in upper left. Can turn Bluetooth on and off by simultaneously pressing the Minus button and the Air button for 3 seconds

Bummer. Maybe if you hit it you will feel better.

Yeah I’m feeling better today so finally tried it with the whip tonight. I think I got pretty good results. First time using a desktop and I am happy so far. Got about 7 draws and got the flower a light brown. Gradually raising the temp. The app worked right off the bat with a firmware update. I really like how the whip made everything so cool. Didn’t feel anything until I exhaled. My flower is a tad dry, but it this exceeded my expectations so far.

I do have a question for anyone here. Is the chamber reducer universal from Volcano to Volcano? I bought one from puffitup and it’s perfectly round, while the orange plastic part with the bowl is not round. I wonder if I bought the wrong one.

...still experimenting..big problem...I have a dcup..hard to use any other device for concentrates...it’s that good..and it just doesn’t make sense to use something else.

I have a Flowerpot and am considering getting a DCup as well. Before I do so I was going to see how the Volcano worked for concentrates.

I don't have a hybrid but none of the other ones get hot enough to vape concentrates well - maybe cause the bowl is so damn big?

Even the Flowerpot takes 700-800 degrees on the PID to vape oil with convection.

How is the flavor? Video says it tastes like a Mighty, but better than the original Volcano? My first thought there is that those two statements contradict each other? Original volcano tastes better than mighty?

I like the heat up time improvement and whip, but the style is designed to look like its from the 1960's moonlanding, stuck in the 1980's for color choice, with a 1990's digital display, and a modern app?

Functionality looks spot on though

It was just too much hardware. Too many metal parts. Took a lot of space. It was good but I don’t want to hit the flowerpot everyday. Also you had to control your draws very well in order for the hot air to flow over the Herb at the ideal speed depending on the temp your enail is set at in order to get good clouds.
