Puffco Peak

Vibration on my peak went out. Put in a warranty claim and a week later I have a new base without having to send the old one in as they said they couldn't accept them from other countries. Figured I didn't have warranty as I bought mine on eBay and found out while reading the instructions that you had to buy from an authorized retailer.


Anyways thumbs up to puffco for their customer service

I just got a used one from here, and it’s less than a year old, but can’t register it because the seller won’t reply back to me. It was actually a trade, but still.

Same thing happened with my carta. My carta wouldn't connect to app they sent me a whole new package kept old. So I got two cartas and a puffco neon. An my puffco with titanium bowl smashes the carta to be honest. There's like zero oil on walls with peak, I feel the peak wastes zero medicine.

Yeah they really should have done a little more R&D, between the smaller, slimmer buckets and the stock carb cap sitting down inside the bucket its just asking for oil to spill out.

Why titanium?

That's prob with carta it heats up too fast. So oil pushes it self all over walls. I even have cartas carb cap barely does anything. I qtip it tons on wall. On my titanium bucket for peak zero reclaim. I'm gonna get a quartz bowl tom from mrbonsai quartz bowl

Function is awesome and came with a matching bubble cap and a peli. Mines all clear. So smooth rips and the amount of vapor. Compared to the stock puff I piiece no comparison.

Also got another atty from this artist. Wanted a recycler version but he hasn’t done one yet for the Peak. The cap seals good so water don’t does come out if you tip the Peak over. Ultimate travel piece and clear atty was priced $25 more than a retail stock Peak atty.

Puffco emailed me back and said since its past a year they can't send a new base. A replacement base only lasted 5 months. I'm officially on the fuck puffco team and I wrote back fuck Rodger. 2 bases and 6 atomizers later I'm left with a useless piece smh

Damn man that's a bummer. Unfortunately that is the reality of a 1 year warranty, it's a shame they don't believe in the product enough to support it longer.

This is why it's always nice to have an e-nail in the arsenal. They always pick up where other devices fall.

My buddies just died... he bought his off ebay or some shit so no warranty.

He opened it up and fixed it himself. Doesn't really seem to be too hard if you're open to that. Of course the fix could be somewhat difficult if you needed to solder, but my buddy got his fixed with no headaches.

He also shared a pic of the device opened up. No reclaim under the silicone anywhere... I know that puffcolawsuit page posted a pic of some super dirty Peak internals, but my buddies that was used daily for over a year had 0 reclaim on the inside.

I believe replacing the vibration motor requires a little soldering but it isnt too difficult.

And yeah that puffco lawsuit page is a joke they posted another pic recently where the entire surface of where the glass connects was covered in oil. Thats not a design flaw thats just being lazy and not cleaning it. Whoever runs that page really seems to have a grudge

I have no experience with that stuff lol. I emailed someone about sending it in to get fixed. I'm looking at the carta or kandypens with the lifetime warranty next

Well my 1st repaired coil broke yesterday. One of the wires snapped not the actual coil. Not sure how it happened, didnt really do anything differently than i have been except i switched back to the ceramic insert.

Anyway, i repaired it in February/March so got a good 5-6 months out of it which is about the average use i would get from the stock atomizer direct from puffco.

Took me about 2 minutes to swap in a new heater. Didnt have any wire cutters on me so i just used a regular scissors worked out well

Just get a thin-bottom quartz insert.

I use blue and green pretty much exclusively now. Red and white would definitely hit way harder (and hotter) than I would want.

SiC was pretty bad for me. My friend who has my Fadespace SiC just tried it again after almost a year, using rebuilt atomizers (which should make it better) and said he STILL couldn't get a good hit.

Also I dropped the insert+an atomizer on my tile floor when I was cleaning it once, and the atomizer obviously broke... but the quartz insert just bounced. No issues/chips/microfractures
