Cheap High Quality Bubbler

I got Yinmin5 to produce a version of the Rattle Can as I was sick of the Stevenimz Monopoly and poor QC.
The VA-Rattle Can;
https://www.dhgate.com/product/amaz...lass-water-pipe/474981921.html#mfavit-14-null

This is the lowest any of their mouthpieces will be mounted (too much higher and you can suck water up like a straw while diffusing)
Cheaper, thicker base, longer diffusion tube (from ball up to 45 cut), slightly higher (more room to grip the body for people with larger hands) nicer mouthpiece and is now my daily driver, my other 2x RC from Stevenimz are now backup spares. :tup:

@LesPlenty is it possible to post a pic of this rig side by side with your rattle cans from popular glass? I just want to see a comparison (size, diffusion pump length) pic before i pull the trigger on the yingmin5.

18mm male to 14mm female? its a GonG 14mm vaporizer

Sounds like you're getting what you need. An adapter to turn your 18mm female opening to 14mm female opening, with which your GonG 14mm male should connect too.

The amazon one should work. The one in the group photo for the d020 looks a little longer, but it shouldn't matter. You should be good to go

I found only one Vapcap at a time was too restrictive on the RC, much better with 2 at a time to get it crackling.:haw:

The diffusion pumps (FC-710 and Rattle Can) are the least restrictive of my bongs when paired with vapcaps. I also did some side by side comparison with my bongs and found that both diffusion pumps retained the flavor the most. What I also like is that they both give the best chugging action (bigger and louder) when paired with vapcaps. Between the FC-710 and Rattle Can, the FC-710 wins by a hair... probably because mine has a bigger ball which also produces a louder rattle. Where the Rattle Can wins is the placement of the vapcap is farther away from your face. Problem with it is that the mouthpiece is lower and when I am seated on a table I have to put the Rattle Can on top of a 6" box or inverted bowl.

Bottom line, for use with vapcaps, the diffusion pumps rule. Now I have to decide whether to get another FC-710 or a Yingmin5 Rattle Can for back up purposes.

I only use my rattle can while sitting in my recliner, hanging onto the RattleCan...like a can, it sure would be a hassle on a tabletop, the new one from Stevenimz would be better for that.
I only use mouth pulls on a native vapcap, too restrictive on a bong for me, I would rather have a WoodScents for a cap on my stem when on a bong. I have used the following for 2x vapcaps at once on a bong and it helps;

Long necked rattle can ordered.

Lets see what arrives.

EDIT: I didnt contact them first to ask for one thats been made properly :) Thought I'd just order and see what happens. If its sub par, I will throw it back in their general direction.

I've ordered the long neck also today. Thanks for your reccomendation in the flowerpot thread, I'm looking forward to trying it.

After doing head to head comparisons with my other bongs the last 2 weeks or so using my vapcaps, one emerged the winner and I decided to order one again for backup... The FC-710 by seller Ebizcn... For $20 with free e-packet shipping you really can't go wrong.

Pic of the FC-710 side by side with my other bongs that it beat not just on price but on performance when paired with vapcaps... You do need a 14mm F to 14mm F adapter for it... The FC-710 is truly a cheap high quality bubbler.

Only thing is I don't like male joints, especially 14mm and the mouthpiece looks so thin that it would break if I accidentally hit it with my teeth, the new gooseneck version from Stevenimz might be better built(it would want to be for twice the price). :myday:
You are probably getting the best results with the 710 due to the restriction as it is intended to be a dab rig, that is the reason for the male 14mm joint.:tup:
Maybe the restriction of the 14mm joint matches the restriction of your Vapcap, that might explain your preference.:sherlock:
What other vapes have you used on the rigs for comparison?

I like my FC-710 too and was using it with my EVO for a long time since the flavor is spectacular on the first couple hits. The adapter converts it to a female and you would have no idea its a male rig function wise. Also the male joints were popular for female titanium nails for dabbing since the male nails could easily break a female joint from he inside. I'm sure the percs are very similar in the different diffusion pump models on dhgate but there really is nothing wrong with the FC-710 and although I like the aesthetics of the newer ones and the thicker glass I haven't had a real problem with this one or need for another. The glass may look thin but it can still hold up to a good beating and I doubt that the other models are worth 2x the price.

@MasonJar What do you like about the FC-710 over the CCG straight fab? I have a CCG klein and enjoy the pull with the FOL perc but for the first hit or so the FC-710 really shines and I love its unique chug and sound.

I have been mostly using my bongs with vapcaps tips mounted on the DDavemod V2 stem and a Chillium pipe. Titanium tip on the DDavemod v2 stem and a modded (added notches to the tip to mimic the titanium tip) 2018 M Steel tip on the chillium pipe.

After some time, I find myself preferring the deeper chugging (and sound!) I get from the FC-710... Flavor is also better preserved on the FC-710. I found a simple way to test flavor retention... I plug in a well used but empty chambered vapcap on the bongs, fill them with the desired level of water then start using them with the empty vapcap. On the diffusion pumps, I can better taste the flavor derived from the empty vapcaps. Flavor leeches from the accumulation in the stem and chamber even though it is empty.

First time I used the FC-710 I already knew it was excellent for flavor retention but it was after using the above procedure where I was actually able to better compare the various bongs when it comes to flavor retention. On the other bongs you could not or could barely taste the flavor leaching from the empty vapcap.

The straght fab is good at flavor retention (but still inferior to the FC-710) but chugs a lot less when used with vapcaps. The FC-710 produces the best rattling sound maybe because the ball is bigger compared to that of the RC.

If I start a conversation with a chinese seller about making their own version of the rattle can with the long neck, has anyone got suggestions for what might be improved/changed?

Another member tried to get a few sellers to make rattle cans but most couldn’t figure out how to get the ball inside the perc. I don’t like the direction that Stevens rattle can mouthpiece placement has taken recently but I’m not sure there’s much options and another reason I’ve stuck to the FC-710 as it almost seems like they have a mold for that model since it’s reamined pretty consistent over the years unlike Stevens’s other pieces.

I'm very happy with the replacement RC I received from Stevenlmz but it was a major PITA to get it. Not to mention that it wouldn't have happened at all without help from my friend @LesPlenty!

Comparison photo, replacement on the right. Note where the mouthpiece stem is attached to the body and the overall placement of the inside tubes. They sound and hit very differently. I've yet to sip bongwater from the replacement.

That’s great! And I think It might be more productive to try to get Steven to improve his quality so no one has to deal with this issue.
