Discontinued Impcognito

Here's my Pico Settings. I have a usable range of 350f - 420f . TCR could probably be lowered another 5 but this has been working really well for me. On the mistype website it states the congnito coils are closer to the stem so that's probably why people are experiencing higher temps using the same TCR.

I'm not really knowledgeable enough to explain properly, but you can access the settings here:

Ye i know, by the way - try reduce the resistance to 0.19 and also the TCR to around 120. Because Impcognitos coil made of ss it should be closer to 95 THEORETICALLY.

Never ! These setting are working EXTREMELY well for me. Usable range between 350-430 using dosing capsules, Impcognito and Istick Pico.

So my Impcognito finally arrived and I'm really impressed with it so far. I've just been using the AF settings from the Mistvape site and with some slight tweaks (mostly the TCR value, my cold ohms reading came in at .19) I've been loving it. Will be giving your settings a go as well @Easywider, as well as just getting to better grips with the PI values. Seems like most of the magic lies there as well as your TCR value, but as someone who's always used ecig mods in power mode I'll have to read up. Overall though, I'm really satisfied and excited to just play around and flesh out my settings.

Got some new bent stems to try! My favorite option for glass vapes

Of course the second is much larger, but the first is super sleek and portable with a more acute angle (though the folds in the bend can get warm). I also have one like the long one that is cut right after the bend, have not tried that one yet, but these other two are great!

Also got a bloodwood mouthpiece to match my bloodwood Imp. Waiting on some cooling beads though, then I'll share that too along with the other bent stem. Trying different screen setup too, I have the normal basket in the big bent stem (not sure how I'm going to get it out...) while I put a flat screen in the smaller stem like this:

So I think it will be easier to poke this one out for replacing, there is a nice ledge for it to sit on and it fits very securely. Half inch size, slightly domed, so I think a 3/8 inch size would be more ideal...

Awesome. I would prefer a cooling stem (not that this vape REALLY needs it) but I have been using my long stem a bit often lately (no beads/mouthpiece) and wouldn't mind trying out something smaller!

Very excited to be getting my 2nd Impcognito this week! So nice I had to buy it twice. Paranoid of being without how amazing this vape performs. (I also have a backup Aster RT and a cuboid mini ... juuuust in case :whoa:)

@mistvaporizer, i began using your dosing stem and mistvape capsules. You hit it out of the park with that design man! I am loving it.
Question, are you able to provide a dosing stem with an added inch to the length? My intention is to stem pack with a screen above and below the herb, similarly to how i would pack an 18mm stem. Thanks in advance!

Great idea @Obsessed 2, and in fact I almost wrote @mistvaporizer this weekend to suggest the same thing. It would be great to have the option of locating the flower even further away from the heater.

I shall. I recall a previous call on your part to merge these two threads, and I totally agree with it. Re-title it Imp/Impcognito or some such.

Edit: Searching "imp" using "in titles only" gives zero results. What gives? I'll find it but still, weird...

That could be done where do you want the extra space?

You da man!

I imagined the extra length closer to the oven. Since I won't be needing a step for the cap, it would essentially be a straight tube to the mouth end that has the small hole. I also imagine using a friction fit for the screen closest to the mouth, hence no need for a step. I feel steps used to hold caps creates tunneling leaving really green herb on the walls. Using a friction fit ameliorates the tunneling in my experience. Whatcha think?

@Obsessed 2 this has a 1" recess where a dosing cap would sit.

Is that what you wanted
I came home from vacation to find this in my mailbox :D

Not only is the extra-long stem perfect, but Dave included some screens that I may find useful in addition to glass cooling beads. What a thoughtful and pleasant surprise! Little things like this go miles with regard to CS. Just a thoughtful gesture that I will not forget. Unfortunatley I havent had time to test it out yet; life sometimes gets in hte way of our desires... I just wanted to report the nice delivery i received.

Also, a redditor asked me to compare the dynavap and impcognito in terms of performance as an on-the-go (OTG) vape. I thought i would share my write-up that I provided to the user:

"It is (the impcognito), without a doubt, my ideal otg stealth vape. I'm have been out in public with it and it is hardly noticeable in my cargo shorts or my pullover pocket. I use the dosing stem & m.v. caps. These truly make it an otg vape. Pop one out pop another in. But one can go a long way.

For major otg differences between the two, I would say that the Impcognito wins hands down for a head-to-head otg comparison. With the Imp & Aster you're carrying one item, the vape, versus the vapcap and lighter or vapcap and IH. I have a Flux Deluxe and even with it being the smallest IH currently out there, it is still beat by the Impcognito for ease of carry and how much you need to carry.

Then there's time. With the Impcognito, it heats to optimal temp in 2 seconds for the first heat-up from cold; subsequent heatings take one second. I double click (profile needs minor editing for this feature) for a 60 seconds auto-fire. Take a pull, and the Aster RT on TCR compensates nicely for strong pulls that may cool the coils. I single click to stop the heater. Repeat. In comparison, one needs to heat the vapcap with a torch and while it may be a quick process overall, it doesn't compare to the Impcognito in terms of immediacy and true on-demand vapor.

Big difference in how the vapcap and the imp work. With the vapcap, you're getting a conduction plus convection heating for a powerful all-in-one hit, a major attraction to the vapcap no doubt. With the Impcognito, you're getting 100% convection. As a result, the Impcognito's flavor is sooo much better than the vapcap's. No comparison here imo.

I'm a heavy user and one vapcap is often not enough. However, with an Impcognito I can make a m.v. capsule last a couple of hours by coming back to it from time to time. Another win for the Imp."

So, there's my hold-over post. I will be following up with more detail as I implememt my new toy (stem).

Stay lifted!

I'm actually posting more in the main Imp thread now instead, since it is the same vape really just with a smaller shell, but I am up and running with the AsterRT and ArcticFox successfully with temp control via Mist instructions on website, I needed to lower my TCR to around 110 though.

What a pocket portable! No need to sacrifice on power and taste here

Do you have a link to the instruction video? I could not find it.

Thx!

Ok, so I would like to have one. Right now I have a splinter and use power mode, only because I can't figure out how to install firmware. So my question is can I run this in watts and what is the low and high numbers . Thanks
