New to vaping, need some guidance

So i'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right place, but if i didn't i hope mods can move it to the right one.
I also know that the questions might have been answered before, but i've tried searching around and reading different posts and forums for about a month now but i'm no closer to deciding what would be the best choice for me or if what i'm looking for even exists so i have to ask.


Is there any vaporizer that can be used with solid block hash? crumbling it up of course.
Would mixing it with for example Real Leaf Terpentines or other smokable herbs would make it easier?
What if i made resin from it with hair iron and parchment paper?

Weed, especially good weed is really hard to find around here, but i have a good and steady supply of good hash.

-My budget is at 200-230$
-I'm not looking for something like the vapcap or vapman.
-Portable
-Preferably something with a battery that heats up instead of having to use a torch/lighter
-Where to buy it for a good price (that ships to Europe)
-225-425 degrees Celsius range (is that right?)
-I would also like to avoid "vape wool" if possible

Sorry for all the questions and stuff but i don't want to end up buying something too expensive and use it once and then leave it on the shelf for the rest of eternity if you catch my drift.

So any tips or recommendations are welcome.

Most herbal vaporizers should be able to vaporize the hash by itself. The only concern when deciding on a vaporizer for it would be how melty it is. If when you heat it it melts and drips pretty easily you want to choose a vaporizer where you dont load the material directly into a heater otherwise it could make a mess and be annoying to try and clean up. And could possibly ruin the heater depending on the vape.

If you sandwich the hash in between herbs than that concern isnt really an issue because the flower ends up absorbing any oil that would melt/drip

I know you are looking for something with batteries but what immediately comes to mind as the best option for vaporizing just straight brick hash would be something with a whip like da buddah/silver surfer which are plug in vaporizers. You load the glass wand with the hash which attaches to a heater and draw the air through. You dont have to worry about any mess getting in the heater and clean up/maintainence is as easy as an iso soak.

Another option as you mentioned would be turning it into rosin with a hair straightener and parchment. You also want to use a filter such as an unbleached coffee filter or 25u mesh. This basically turns it from a no melt brick hash to a full melt dab. This would work in an dab rig, erig and you could easily use something like the puffco peak of focusV or carta

I forgot to welcome you (before the edit) @Mentalace. Your question is in the right place, now you have to do your own research.

Hey and thanks for commenting.
A plug in vape is not something i want, if it was i would just go for something like a Volcano anyways...
The point is that i want something i can bring with me and use whenever with no need for electric outlets or torches.

The "Tubo" thingy is just way overpriced and looks super complicated, battery is needed.. assembly time and all of that stuff, nothing i really need or want.
Where the shop is located doesn't really matter as most have worldwide shipping.

just 2 things, the range of useful temps in celsisus is 160 to 210-220 for weed, for hash is more like 210 to 260.

also a good shop in europe is vaposhop (with free shipping in all europe if the order is bigger than 50 euros), you can have a 10% discount on vaporizer with the code: VAPOBUST2018
(but if you search online, you can find discount code for namaste or other sites)

the boundless tera is 156 euros on amazon.it and it is powerfull, simple to use, swappable batteries and with a dedicated hash mode that arrive to 260° celsius, but i heard that the liquid pad is not good like the one in storz and bickel vape like volcano or mighty. (but if i remember well, you can buy and use the liquid pad from the mighty in the tera).

the only problem with the tera is that it's kinda harsh without a glass piece.

but from what i heard, you can use almost any good portable vaporizer with high temp and a chamber.
just put some unblechead organic cotton or raw hemp from smartshop online in the chamber with a little piece of hash on top and you are good to go.
there is the sandwitch between weed method but if you want pure flavour it's probably not ideal.

do you only vape hash?

I only suggested the plug in for ease of use and maintainence with using hash by itself. depending on how pure/melty the hash is it can make quite a mess by itself in most vaporizers. Having the material directly above the heater where the hash can melt down into it is not ideal. Thats why i didnt suggest a volcano.

If your hash doesnt really melt than that isnt an issue. But i would still avoid most of the vaporizers you mentioned as they all seem like they would be very annoying to clean melted hash out of. Especially the ones that youre loading the hash directly into the vaporizer like the FF2+. A few loads could gunk up the heater and then your screwed because thats not something you can clean or soak in iso.

Haze isnt a company anymore and is unsupported so i would definitely avoid that.

Im not really familiar with the xmas or the storm.

So of what you listed I would say your best bet would probably be the arizer where you load the glass stems or maybe the pax.

If your mixing it with bud than all the concerns i mentioned dont really matter because the bud usually absorbs any melted hash that would melt into a heater

To begin with, yes.
Flower is hard to find because it's still illegal here.
I use weed like "once a year" because of how hard it is to find and how ridiculous expensive it is.
Usually you get like two grams for 60 dollars and it is shit weed with more stems and seeds than flower so not worth it yet for my use.
A "combination" vape would be good if i ever get lucky enough to find something better but for now i'm sticking with hash.

Thanks for the site and code btw, that site will be my first choice when i'm buying.

The hash i get is sometimes soft and crumbly, other times it's hard and sticky, from what i've seen it melts pretty good, but if i then make resin from the hash, that resin can be used in a vape without having to be afraid of it melting and clogging up the vapes right?

I dont have access to bud so i cant mix my hash with it, i do have the opportunity to order other legal smokable herbs like for example real leaf, mullein or catnip if that would work the same?

I guess vape wool is something i'll just need to buy a ton of anyways to make vaping hash possible..

Have you actually tried a VapCap? If you don’t like using torches you can always get an induction heater and still have the option to heat with a torch, candle or whatever heat source you have available.

I haven’t used a lot of hash so far, but what I have used has worked very well in a VapCap, and I think it’s a much more solid choice than most of what you mentioned. If it melts completely you can use it in a Dynacoil to keep it in place better, otherwise you can just press a little into a flat disc and drop it in the chamber.

Otherwise, out of your list I’d probably go with an Arizer product, maybe DaVinci or Firefly, I just don’t know how well they handle hash. A lot of the others are okay or even good for budget options, but not great in the vapor quality department and again I don’t know how they handle hash.

I do know that VapCaps handle it well and are easy to clean (if you even have to clean them), so... :shrug:

No i haven't tried it, heard a lot og good about both vapcap and vapman, but i don't want a vape like that.
Since weed/hash isn't legal in my country, standing with a torch, candle, lighter etc to heat a metal tube then smoking from it while outside just seems like something i don't want to be doing openly.

The list i made are the only ones i've checked out, but i'm open to other options if there might be something better suited. They are just the ones i've seen being recommended the most around in different forums and such.

Saw this "guide" and from what i can see the Pax seems like a good option, as long as i dont overfill it (as the guy in the guide did)

I will get a pack of vape wool (degummed hemp fibre) to protect the oven and make it easier to clean, since that seems like the biggest issue with using hash.
Also, by using cannabis terpentines to mix the hash with (it will be like mixing with weed from what i understand)
And if that all fails, i will just make resin to use with the vape instead.

If you made rosin you’d get a whole other set of recommendations, and I can’t tell you for sure how anything else handles hash, but the reason I mentioned an *induction heater* with a VapCap is that you don’t have to use a flame, you just stick the end in a box, pull it out and it’s heated up with no flame.

Without the torch, is something the size and shape of a cigarette really more conspicuous than any of the other options you mentioned?

For flower I’d have a lot of recommendations, and I’m sure that plenty of others work with hash, but I can’t tell you how well they work or how easy they are to clean up because I haven’t used them with cash or heard reports about most of them being used with it.

If a VapCap with an induction heater really doesn’t work for you, my general advice would be to look for something that can handle high temperatures and seems like it will keep your hash out of the heater or anywhere else that would be difficult to clean.

Your desire to avoid using “vape wool” was another reason I brought up the VapCap - you shouldn’t need to use any with it unless you want to.

Whatever you decide, good luck with it and please tell us how well it works with hash if we don’t already know!

I'm not sure what you see as complicated about the tubo. No assembly other than adding the battery. Most of the ones you're looking at don't have controls which may be what seems complicated with the tubo. You might consider the milaana which is simple wood and just needs the battery changed.

@Mentalace I've a few of the vapes you mentioned and without a doubt my suggestion from those would be the Pax 3, even if you have melting hash you are unlikely to ruin this vape due to how easy it is to clean whilst the oven doesn't have any escape route other than the air path.

Another bonus is the concentrate oven pack which you can use if you didn't feel comfortable loading hash directly in to the oven with just a screen however the oven returns to immaculate condition with a little iso.

As for the Arizer units they are my personal faves but they wouldn't be right for hash, the small holes in the oven means you're just waiting for a problem with hash.

Miqro, this is easy to clean too but not as easy as the pax so I'd have no problems loading hash in to it but the shorter air path, limited battery and auto shut off timer make the Pax a much better option imo.
