Auber Enail Discussion

Thanks for that, just curious how quickly a coil can go belly up. Debating picking up a backup.

I'm going to pick up either another Auber or a Hex coil, for sure, over the next couple of weeks. I played with a few settings and the thing seems to be working better.

@Baron23 that is a great idea and I'll reach out to them. My only worry is that I stretched the coil to better fit to the Liger banger.

I really appreciated the heads up on the Dnail coils, they almost twice as much but don't seem to be twice as good!

Auber has a nice 4th of July sale going on...from now until July 8th get $10.00 of a RDK-300A (now $89.00) and $6.00 off a RDI-200 (now $59.00).

I own a RDK-300 which I purchased when my HexNail went in for repair almost a year ago. The RDK-300 has been rock solid! I now use my HexNail/Dnail Sic Halo for concentrates and the RDK-300 with the NewVape Showerhead for flowers (yeah I know, a VRod would allow me eliminate one of these controllers!).

However, I do not think anyone can own too many backups! I am so impressed with the RDK-300, I ordered another during the sale. In terms of efficiency, cost and customer service you would be hard pressed to beat Auber's products!

(Be forewarned, the shipping seems just a tad high to me, but also worth it in my opinion.)

Thank you for posting this, I had been waiting for this sale. I was thinking about buying another one recently and remembered I got my last one in a 4th of July sale and decided to wait again.

I love my RDK-300. It shows set and actual temp, has easy controls, when you turn it off it displays HOT/temp while it's still hot enough to hurt you, and has a shut-off timer which for my spacey stoner ass is 100% necessary.

Nice one.

Any discount or sale or coupon going on right now at Auberin???
I'm about to purchase the RDK-300.... is the auto shut-off customizable??
Really eager to get this, and arrives before the GS I recently got...
Thanks in advance...
Stay vaped....

I need to get a PID controller for my new Dnail coil and sic Halo setup (my DHGate Menovo PID fuse popped as soon as I hit the heat up button so I hope I did not damage my Dnail flat coil), the RDK200 is $59 and the RDK300 is $119, is the 300 worth nearly twice the price of the 200?

I had the RDK-200 for a long time and it never gave me any issues at all!
It is programmable, which is easy to do via the rotary encoder.
Screen flashes "HOT" until the device attached it cool enough not to burn you, neat feature.

I also liked the cable in front, just wish the power cable exited at the rear then it would be perfect.
Thinking of buying another one and resurrecting my broken Sublimator!

Thanks for the replies, looks like a RDK-200 will be ordered soon.

I have an RDK-200 (110v) going through a 220v converter.
Kindly gifted by @lazylathe

It definitely works brilliant. I've heard some say the RDK-300 has some advantages.
I'm totally happy with mine though, it will last you a while.

Definitely superior to a the Chinese controllers I've used in terms of build quality.

Yes. The controller will run on both 110 and 220v, but one should check the coils. Those are either 110v or 220v.

Have been running my @710Coils banger with my rdk-200 for a while now and am very pleased with it. Put my old chinese controller and my cca710 liger to rest hihi

Edit: and shipping has been really fast. USA to Spain in a week... And that was with the cheapest shipping option.

Hey all, getting a D-Cup soon, been using a dnail sic halo with an RDK 200 and haven't had any issues but really like the dcup. Anyone think I would have to change any settings? Seems like the same flat coil should work between both setups but figured I'd check with the experts. Thanks!

So I had my first ever issue with the auber today. When I press the power button to turn it off, nothing happens. I unplug it and it turns off, olug it back in and from off the button will turn it on, but it will not turn off. Anyone have any ideas?

So I wrote twice from 2 different email addresses and received no response. Time to take my buisiness elsewhere. Good luck everyone.

I knew there was an Auber thread around here somewhere...

Dear Auber users, and prospective purchasers -

I have been talking to Auber about introducing a 'boost mode' or, as its known on other enail controllers, 'glob mode', into their controllers software. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? This is as far as I've got with Auber so far, and it sounds pretty good to me...

"Okay, then, how about this:
1) User can save/program 3 Special Boost Modes (let's call it SBM for now). In each SBM, user can define a Stand-By Temperature, a Boost Temperature, and a Boost Timer (can be anywhere from 1 to 999 min).
2) There will be a special menu that allow the user to set these parameters for each SBM.
3) A new controller will be in the Standard Mode when it is first powered up.
4) The user can turn the knob 3 dial clicks, either clockwise or counter-clockwise, to bring up the Mode-Selection menu. By turning the knob, the user can browse through all modes. The available modes are "B-1", "B-2", "B-3", and "STD". Press the knob down to confirm the selection.
5) Once in a SBM, the user can start or stop the heating (to the Boost Temperature) by pressing down the knob. On the other hand, the user cannot adjust the Boost Temperature like he/she could do in the Standard Mode. This has to be done by going to the special menu.
6) If the Boost Timer runs out, the controller will maintain the temperature at the Stand-By Temperature.
7) If the controller is powered off during a SBM, it will stay in the same SBM when it is powered up again. "

Thats Auber themselves I'm quoting there, btw.

Oh, and I asked about the Boost Timer option and how that would work and got this reply...

"Actually, thank you for your question on the timer! Otherwise we may have to come up with one more firmware version to get it right. We can add a setting "OFF" to the Boost Timer, so the complete range would be: "OFF", 1 min, 2 min, ..., 999 min. So, if you don't need the timer, you can select "OFF". This would be similar to Auto Power-Off Timer (APO) on the RDK-300A.

Another question for you regarding the timer resolution. When the timer is between 0 min to 10 min, we could add seconds in the timer, i.e., 0:01 to 9:59 in the unit of Minute:Seconds (or 0.01 to 9.99 in the unit of Minutes). Do you think higher timer resolution would be helpful or unnecessary? Thank you."

Any one got any thoughts?

Yes.

Would it make sense to allow more stops? Like so there could be a Special Boost Mode and a Special Temp Step Mode that allows people to temp step? That way it could be used with the flower pot. That feature might be useful for dabs too...

Like 5 temps. With the flowerpot... Low temp hits... Taps auber... Goes to the next temp. Hits.... Taps auber..... Last tap raises the temp to kick the bowl, and one more tap moves it back to standby temp. Idk... Tbh I don't really temp step with the FP so idk if it's worth it.

Either way the boost sounds like it would be awesome for dabs!

I'll stick that in the back of my head for consideration, and let it percolate and see what others here think. For now, I think I just wanna concentrate (no pun intended) on 'glob mode' for dabs :) A quick, easy one button press boost. However, keep any thoughts coming if you have more on this idea @snamuh , Auber seem very happy to update their software if they see the call for it!
