Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

i bought an ultrasonic cleaner but it only does a so so job of cleaning the tubes and the baskets. so as i was shoving some paper towel bits down to the bottom to try to clean it up a bit better, it broke. then, not 10 minutes later as i'm using the other tube, it broke while in the evo. i put it in and it was whole, i pulled it out and the bottom 3rd had broken off.

i'm wondering if the untrasonic cleaner has done something to the integrity of the boro tubes? i was putting too much pressure on the first one that broke but the 2nd one was just odd.

how have you broken your tubes? thankfully, i have 5 more tubes coming today. but i want them NOW!!

good thing i already have a nice buzz on.
I found for me that dish soap and clean potable water and enzymes like OXYCLEAN keep my glass clean in my case!

EVO is a good decent device if you like flavor/effect to reach nirvana?

i have some gunk off coming tomorrow. although the ultrasonic got the bottom part clean, i'm hoping the gunk off will make it so i don't use the untrasonic again.

I have broken a few. At least they don’t cost $25 each anymore but the quality has gone down imo. Maybe that one had a crack that you didn’t notice. Has anyone tried the Quartz tubes from yingmin?
$25 each? yikes! i'm glad i missed that.

i'm going to order 10 or more from dhgate. the 5 from vapexhale, are in the post office down the street but i'll have to wait until delivery after noon today. i'm bummed. :)

Sorry to hear @MothChewMoth :(. That's the only issue with glass. No hydratube or dry mouthpiece issues here so far, and I want to keep it that way (knock on wood and glass) :).

Congratulation @SatanLovestoVape, the EVO hydratube options are excellent and very high quality . The EVO is my main vape and almost always used. The EVO is great .

@stressed, I too have broken a few glass nails early on but I was handling the nails more too back then when cleaning them. I need more time to see how the integrity of the boro nails go with the ultrasonic cleaner and being hands off.

PBW is the secret with the ultrasonic cleaner. Run a few cycles at the high time selection. Use gloves. I also make sure that there are no trapped air bubbles in the nails when submerged fully in the ultrasonic cleaner (in case that stresses the glass).

Like @wildything, I wonder if quality has gone done. I previously mentioned I've seen some notable measurable differences in the width of the VapeXnails (all oem) which isn't optimal. I don't doubt it affects heating as well.

Here's a question to owners. How do you dry your multi-chamber hydratubes after cleaning? I've begun heating them in the microwave at high power for a few minutes to heat up the glass and evaporate much of the residual water. I then take some air pulls through the hydratube to bring in dry air and it helps to clear up the hydratube most of the way. I let the hydratube sit for the rest of the day (or two) and finish drying out. Any thoughts or feedback?

I use my wife's hairdryer for my glass drying needs, when I'm not being lazy.

Speaking of the nails, I've got a few normal ones and a few DHGate ones that I don't use (no more concentrates in Evo for me). PM me if anyone wants em, I'm sure we can work out a deal. The DHGate ones ARE a little thicker, so I'll post up photos and a Trade post under classifieds later when I'm home.

I was using a hairdryer for a bit but since it took ten minutes or longer with constant handling I changed to the mwave. Hairdryers are power hogs so I find there's no efficiency benefit and some people probably would be unimpressed with their EMF. The hairdryer does work well though :). Anyone doing this or anything else?

I need more nails. The EVO is great for concentrates with me. I don't want more rigs, but I understand their appeal .

I am having a great time with my Evo. The Evo has suffered from heavy abuse since I got it. I was vaping back to back sessions until it started flashing green and red. After turning off and on it was no longer in shut off mode. The Hydrabomb performs well. I have discovered the Hydrabomb can be easily moved with my lips, but the bamboo stays in place. Recently, I placed an order on dghate for a Honeycomb Hydratube. A lot of people are claiming they might be better than the Vapexhale one, so I see for myself. I have been experimenting with different temperatures. At night time I am enjoying the 12 o'clock position, during the day 10:30 to 11 is my max. A friend came over who is a heavy smoker, and I introduced to him my Evo I accidentally crank it up at 1 o'clock position, and it combusted with the whip and my Mighty water pipe attachment. His reaction, "it hits hard." He coughed hard. After the incident, I crank down to an 11. A couple of bowls later he said, "that vape really fucked me up." I was impressed since he is a daily dabber.

While I love PBW for flower residue on rigs, I don't find that it works all that well for 'trates reclaim which is what we are speaking of re: EVO nails, right?

For 'trates residue, ISO is the way to do, IMO. I put things in a zip lock of ISO and then pop the ISO into my ultrasonic cleaner. No problem with glass parts so far.

Shane of @710Coils recommends putting his bangers in some concentrated Simple Green (do not dilute it) in a cup and put it on a cup/candle warmer overnight and Robert is your mother's brother.

Works well and is gentle on the glass.

Cheers

7 year’s ago this bud tender said he only has one vape?
He got me to try one!
FLAVOR so decent!
EVO is like a IPHONE!

If you like CANNABIS?
Quality wise the glass from VAPEXHALE is very nice if you are picky?

Nice @SatanLovestoVape . I've only read some of the info out there but I remember others saying that DHgate glass tends to be lower quality than american glass. It may be due to annealing, etc. I'd be interested in any links to the info you mention :sherlock:.

My experience with ISO and PBW is the opposite fwiw . I used hot ISO for weekly cleaning for a number of months before the PBW. ISO worked well with new glass but after some use the glass became harder and harder to clean, especially the nails which ended up with notable staining... no matter how much ISO soaking or scrubbing either. PBW has gotten rid of all residue, including old nails that ISO would no longer clean.

I just took a look at my nails and there is a touch of residue on each. So lets see if I can get them sparkling as new. I popped them in some warm water with PBW in the ultrasonic cleaner. After a few cycles here they are with my recently PBW cleaned hydratube and an ELB. The nails are still a bit wet inside. I couldn't get this stuff that clean with ISO after a while. How does it look to everyone?

Almost there...
For all those EVO fanatics out there, myself included but since it works so well I hardly visit this thread!

Have there been any changes in the ELB design or size since the EVO was introduced?
A size change was mentioned in another thread and I am curious to find out if they have changed.
I recently bought a 5 pack from PV and they are the same size as my last surviving ELB from their Indiegogo campaign all those years back. Just curious if i received old stock or if the changes are really small?

Still rocking my OG Swagger HT!!

@lazylathe, great to hear . IIRC, while there have been changes to the bamboo on the EVO, supposedly three or more running changes to its interior specs, the design of the 18mm outlet has not changed. And so ELBs (the baskets for the flower) have not changed in size. I don't know if VXL has more than one ELB supplier or if there have been running changes to the baskets over the years, but I'm not aware of any significant differences that I've seen in following this thread this year. Mine is in the picture above (it's a big picture with lots of zoom :)).

Enjoy :peace::leaf:!

Thanks for the info!
I have had a VXL product since the Cloud+, also have a Cloud that needs some work to get it going again and am on my 2nd EVO! As far as I could remember, the ELB's have not changed due to the glass joint.
The Bamboo has had a few changes, especially when they released the EVO.

Thanks again!!!

Cheers @lazylathe! The EVO is end-game . Stick around and share the EVO love if you can .

Happy Friday rolling into the weekend . It's been a great day and the EVO has been amazing. I was able to really dial in a great EVO experience because it's so consistent . This aft I started with a heavy 1/3 ELB of that fresh quality Strawberry Cough batch... and it hit top notch awesome hard :love: . I've also been exercising a lot and getting a nice runner's high this summer, with its concurrent plus interesting cerebral and body experience... even before adding cannabis. Combined it's :tup:.

The first SC sesh at 320F in the dry Helio mouthpiece gave big clouds (for the small amounts) to the point I instinctively also had shorter draw times; powerful stuff and super flavorful :).
Helio_Lifestyle_Square_900x.png

Such great flavors with this batch at those low temps , I swear I taste strawberry in the flavor a bit (and have with this grower, strain and his batches... true to the on-line strain descriptions), but I can't rule out implicit bias either:sherlock:.

I then used the distilled water wet Precision honeycomb hydratube you see above to finish the ELB off in a second session a few hours later at ~ 400F (2:30 on the temp dial). It was so smooth and strong . Very potent :science::evil:.

I find the taste/flavor relation to a strain name is sometimes warranted, other times not. The link of strains to inherent compounds and their subsequent flavors has been established now (look at terpenes and the well reported limonene and pinene profiles :leaf:), and I've had success with great quality strain batches. I've also now repeatedly cracked open my boveda glass mason jar stored cannabis to a great nose/smell abundance and profile. The SC cough batches I've had also smell like strawberry . Try it. I observed a piney contribution to the flavor as well in these draws :). Another strain I find faithful to its name and history is Blue Dream; it really smells like blueberries and a parent strain is blueberry indica well known for its flavors .
Having dialed in a great EVO experience so far :tup::rockon::love:... I decided to have bit of a roulette night again which is always fun when I choose to do it, and went with another fresh 1/4 or less ELB of that SC batch  a few hours later. I vaped it first dry again at ~ 330 F (11:30 on temp dial) for three or four draws. I'm HAF and rolling with the flow .

I then proceeded to forget the ELB in the EVO for ~ 30 minutes :lol:, subsequently doing one last draw. I checked the AVB and its on the lighter side but dark enough to be good enough because my first sesh ended up a bit on the darker side. No need to boost this small ELB to 380-390 F this time for a change. Plus if I want a bit more :leaf: later I can move on to a small fresh ELB of Acapulco Gold to finish a great Friday night. Because why not :):evil::science:.
Enjoy Friday night and the EVO :peace::leaf:.

Sorry for the opus, it's the fresh quality strong sativa flower stream of consciousness that took a number of hours to get here .

That's good to know I am a complete noob when it comes to glass. This is my first vaporizer that supports glass, which I love. I have never been big on the glass until my Evo. Hell, the only glass piece I own at the moment is the Vapexhale Hydrabomb. It is time to start collecting.

Yeah, I am just basing my statement by a Reddit post from a couple of years ago. That makes sense that American glass is much better than China glass. I will probably just use the DHgate as an alternative option and start supporting American glassblowers.

Got a vaporblunt hydrotube coming for my Evo. Somone gave me a deal as i only had the dry mouthpiece. Anybody use one of these before?
Still new to the Evo in general. But using a waterpiece through a whip just may be too much travel

Ok now this really irks me... Am I not the only one who thinks PBW is completely worthless? I've tried the stuff at least a dozen or so times before giving up and throwing the bottle that came with the cleaning kit in the trash. Even after 1 day of mild oil and herb use, I will ALWAYS HAVE TO RUN my piece through Orange Chronic Brand cleaner again anyhow. So I have given up with PBW completely as it doesn't remove what Iso and salt can... at least not for me.

I've also tried making my own iso and salt solution only to get mixed results. Maybe I'm not getting the ratio of iso to rock salt just right? I have also tried nearly every glass cleaner there is from Grunge off to 420 and nothing works as good as that Orange chronic brand cleaner. At least not for me.

I'm absolutely puzzled why so many people would say PBW is more effective than ISO and salt as it hasn't been in my experience over the years at all.

Not trying to be argumentitive at all, I'm just really puzzled by this as I ALWAYS have to re-wash my pieces once again if not twice with a salt and iso solution like Orange Chronic anyhow. To each their own I guess.

I am curious about Ultra Sonic Cleaners though, not just for cannabis vaporizers but my E cig parts as well. If the fellas with ultra sonic cleaners could chime in, that would be great. What's the advantage exactly?

Just a dude
I too have no need for PBW, it sits there under the kitchen sink. Since Momofthegoons suggested I tried the Simple Green Bucket Method even my ISO consumption has gone way down, if I have a stubborn spot then warm alcohol takes care of it. When I thanked Mom, she said that she got it from the man, Seibo himself!

There’s no shaking, which is when my odds of breaking glass goes up exponentially. Less waste since you’re reusing the same SG concentrate for months. No scrubbing, just soak overnight. I use a smaller container than the 5-gallon bucket in Seibo’s recipe but can see how it would be ideal for the larger American HTs from yesteryear. I’ve found it to be a genius solution that’s perfect for a lazy stoner! :haw:

My kitchen has RO water?

The EVO is really nice actually!
