Discontinued Ghost MV1

@Summer Yes you're right...Back in january things seemed to work a little bit better...It's weird since it was in the very beginning and I have at least an illusion of knowing my MV1 better now ...I was grinding very fine at that time and changed to more coarse grind later because people seemed to suggest it ... I've been using Mighty and MV1 side by side with no real intention to compare them to each other so also haven't been too scientific on the way. Anyway I know the basics with step up temp thing since I've been doing that with my Mighty for many years now...Somehow it just sems that with the MV1 I only get decent big hits with level 4 and 5 even though with Mighty I usually start @ 180 and go up from there. I quite much always take full draws which means I start inhaling right after the heptic feedback and stop after the net (13sec or so?)

I just don't wanna give up on the Ghost since it serves me on many purposes better than Mighty. and I like the fact that I have at least two vapes I really like...So far MV1 and Mighty are the only ones to do so, not an expert but I have tried many .

I think the biggest prob here might be the packing...I don't really see what I'm doing and it's hard to pack the crucibles always "the same way" and learn from that. Also for the same reason can't learn a thing from the color of AVB...I now have the feeling that actually I might still be packing the crucibles too full.

Oh and my tolerance really is quite high. Been smoking (and now vaping) for 15 years now and it seems a week or two T-Break gives me one or two good highs before things return to "normal"...That's why this is so important...With MV1 and Mighty I still feel the effects (Davincis, Arizers and Paxs I've tried quite much did nothing), Mighty effects being the stronger ones.

@Mr420, try a medium grind & fill it up by scooping the crucible full & very lightly tamp down just the very top layer. You shouldn't have to go to level 5 to get decent vapor. Play around with it a little, but I still suggest opening a ticket. I'd ask for a battery swap 1st to see if that's the culprit.

Know anyone who could tell you the avb color? Are you able to post a pic so that we can see it?

david, I would expect about 5 hits per crucible. My modus operandous (sp.) isn't set in stone. Sometimes all my hits are on level 3; other times I use the step method so the 1st 2 hits on level 1 or 1 & 2, then bump up to level 3 for 2 hits & final hit on level 4. You have to figure out what you like best.

Well, my pairing issue seems fixed with the new android update. Thanks Virgil and the Ghost crew if you are reading this. Not a lot to do on the app anywhere - I hope that we can change temps in future software updates.

As for my feelings about the ghost. I love it. Best single shot vape out there. Flavour is comparable to firefly2 but they go about their job differently. You can drain a crucible in a couple of draws if that's your thing with the Ghost MV1. I've found if you keep the button pressed down even after the vibration feedback you can just keep going. Take a breath and keep going. It's so efficient at vaping in its initial pulls that it doesn't preserve the flavour for as long as the FF2 which you can slowly dehydrate a single bud rotating and stirring occasionally for twelve hits. But turning the Ghost down onto level one it can rival some of the efficiency of the FF2 but only if you take small draws to savour the flavour. Can something be too free flowing?

My best results have been hand torn bud piled high but with airflow - like I do the FF2. Drop small pieces into the crucible until it's over the rim then put the lid on. Talking about the crucible - my goodness Ghost has to do better with those lids. I have inflammatory arthritis as part of my autoimmune disease and that crap is a fiddly, frustrating nightmare if you are having a flare in your wrist or hands. Snap-on lids please Ghost. or a different crucible system that's more medical patient friendly. Still saying that I love my Ghost MV1 and can't imagine life without her now I've tasted her joyous goodness. That first draw is hallelujah chorus worthy. I used my mv1 last night, I tried higher temp settings, I am not getting a lot of vapor, like in videos just good wisps of vapor but I know I am getting medicated because I feel it and that flavor is superb. I will post pics later of my crucible before and after. I understand the button presses now but I am still trying to get the hang of it, its gonna be fun when I get it right. I think it might my load not with the right consistency. can someone post a pic of there flower in the crucible so I see what it should look like?

Maaan! I’m in the same boat as you David! Just got mine this week and trying to figure it out. Last night I got some game changing rips that were comparable to my Cloud Evo! Hope I can dial it in like that every night! But I’m not sure what I did right. More testing is necessary. I wonder if it’s possible to buy crucibles without the dispenser. I already ordered the ghost crucible caddy from delta so I need crucibles but no dispenser. Definitely need more crucibles though!!!

Tip: I recently tore the lip on one of my heatsink seals from pulling up on lip to remove.from heatsink .....I found that if I lift lip and push in heatsink where lip is lifted it comes out super easy with.less stress on seal......hope it helps.....

Hee...Thanks for the tips guys...Been experimenting a little bit more...Just recently got things going on the way I suppose they should...I definitely feel the effect and it's as strong but different than Mighty's...HOW COOL IS THAT!!! The First quality Ghost hits since don't remember when. So what I did? Fine grind...That's what I've found gives the best shots in Mighty and when returning to it with MV1, I instantly feel happy again, haha . For me this is weird... Quite much everybody suggests a coarser grind with MV1, I bought a coarser grinder because of the suggestions thinking things would get even better. I compared the grinds back then and preferred coarser one wince it felt "safer" with the little base of MV1, little particles not falling etc.

But well. Things seem to work now, 2 good hits on level 2, 2 on level 4, flip crucible around, 2 hits (a good and a semi-ok one) on level 5.

@Mr420, when you say 'flip crucible around,' you mean rotate 180°? What is the point?

For me, I could never do level 5 as level 4 is as hot as I can handle.

Could u post a pic of your crucible to see how full you filled it and see your grind? I'm still learning.

HOUSTON! WE HAVE CLOUDS!!! holy moly this thing is absolutely awesome! Not sure what I did right, it might be because i was using a crucible I was vaping the day before and I wasn't getting as much vapor at the time. It was still green. I think it was the combination of the herb Being exposed to air since yesterday letting it dry out some and me rasing the temperature. to number 3. The effects are incredible too, this is definitely giving me alot more medication than any other vape I ever used easily. Awesome device!

@Summer Yes, sorry my native tongue is not english. By flipping I indeed meant rotating 180 degrees. Sems to give me one or two hits more, don't know if the heat can be somehow "not centered" in the crucible...

Anyway. Yesterday I got clouds even @ 180 Celsius, today things aren't that easy so maybe I'm still learning and yesterday I had good luck . Anyway, I took a picture of both the filled crucible and ABV. I can't find a way to add pictures to the text but keep on trying ...Like I said, I'm blind and sometimes easy things are hard.

Welcome to the party!!!! And yes drying bud if it is to sticky helps tremendously...I usually put on piece of paper for a.few.hours and then herb is.superb!

I remember something when I was getting those nice clouds last night. Everyone says go slow and long on the inhale, but I think those who are not getting clouds might be inhaling a little too slow, when I raised my inhale speed just slightly, I noticed and felt alot more vapor going into my lungs very quickly. Point is dont be afraid to experiment, try different things. dont get frustrated, its part of the fun. I'm gonna try the puff puff technique to heat herb before slow long inhale to see what that does. Loving convection!

Not me, I used fine grind from NewVape or BCG and I don't worry about particles falling down through the crucible, personally.

Wow this ghost mv1 is legit for extraction! I ran the same bowl at an even higher temperature and was still blowing nice vapor, no bad taste either. Usually its burnt pop corn city at this point I will post pic of ABV to see where its at. Looking for a good shredder but those brilliant cut shredders are on back order, what's the next step down? And what is best for mv1 and dynavap vapcap "m" 2019 fine, medium or coarse cut?

Here is my crucible from last night same one I have been using since the start. looks like I'm getting a hot spot. Is that from my pack or inhaling to quickly? I purposely increased my inhale speed to see if the mv1 could keep up, it did of course.

Usually it is caused by pulling too quick....remember you want that air to stay hot ....try to pull slow all the way till second buzz .....you will see a difference.....if you feel your lungs are full then you can stop otherwise try to.time it out ime.......
