Want to get a wooden desktop.

I’m having a hard time deciding on a desktop. I know that I want it to be wooden for aesthetic purposes. I’m going back and forth between the Ditanium and a Woodscents. This will also be my first desktop vape. I only use flower now but have access to wax if I end up getting the Ditanium, but would still nearly always use flower. Which one of these would you choose and why? Are there logs that are considered “better” than the Woodscents? Thank you!

Woodscents. And if you get a cap for the vapvap, you can use it dry, & it's portable. And if you get a dynacoil, you can use the vapcap with concentrates. You get 2 great vapes in one: desktop & portable, concentrate & flower use, & use with & without water.

Personally, I don't like a whip only because when it gets dirty, it grosses me out.

I don't know much about the Diitanium. But it isn't very aesthetic compared to other wood vapes. The woodscent's stems fit vapcaps which is a nice plus given the price of a vapcap. It makes a great emergency vape.
The woodscents is also beautiful and made by a master woodcrafter. So if you want a beautiful and functional wood vape with some interesting stems, I'd definitely consider the woodscents.

But if you think you might to use wax you might as well go with the Ditanium.

Between those two I would definitely go with a Woodscents first...then you can acquire your Ditanium later.

Everyone should have a log. Other vapes later.

Ok then Woodscents it is. For what it’s worth right now I have a Mighty and a Shadow M. Im not really worried about concentrates and would be content to just use flower forever. Does the Woodscents really outshine the E-Nano that much? It’s quite a difference in price.

hit @Ed's TnT with a pm, he had some gorgeous 2018 units that were heavily discounted a few weeks ago, he may still have some available. Some of the forum vets love their ditanium but I hate whips and I'm a vapcap fanatic

I think the Woodscents would fit really well into your lineup. I've never used an E-Nano, but I know a ton of people love them. I don't think the Woodscents blows it away performance-wise (they seem to be largely on par), but aesthetically, it's on another level IMO. You have to hold one in your hand to fully appreciate how stunning it is.

A base model WS costs around $100 more than an E-Nano, but you get a ton of accessories with it, including a Vapcap. It also utilizes titanium and will work with your existing Dynavap gear. I think it's a solid value. Personally, I'd splurge for an exotic model, as they're just that damn nice!

TL;DR - Ditanium for bigger sessions, concentrates, and heavier usage. Woodscents for sipping and for beautiful aesthetics. Both are amazing devices.

What is your usage like? I love Ed's stuff, and own several things by him (including a new custom debowler that's on the way!), but I don't own a Woodscents yet because my usage is pretty high. My dd is my Evo, and I run through 2-4 baskets in an evening. The Ditanium is next on my list because it's an absolute monster that can handle significantly larger quantities of material and keep up with me more that a WS can.

I’m a pretty moderate user these days. Two dosing capsules at night after work, maybe 3-4 on days I’m off. Combination of illegal state and not having a ton of disposable income because of a new baby so I try to make it last.

I have a WS and an Underdog (another log) and like them both a lot for different reasons. Never tried the ditanium as I'm not much of a concentrate type of person but have heard great things.

I think logs are great little micro dosers. Very very efficient and for the most part all of the major log vapes (Woodscents, Underdog, Enano, Heat Island...1 year wait) all perform relatively the same. Differences will come down to aesthetics and accessories. This said, I hear that the enano performs just fine but I just don't quite appreciate the look as much compared to the others.

If it were me choosing, I would go with either an Underdog or Woodscents as I like to support the smaller shops and you probably don't want to wait the year for a heat island. But in narrowing between those two, it would somewhat depend on budget. I think the included dynavap makes these a really good deal (especially given his current sale).

Ed is currently running a pretty good sale right now due to the fact that he will be introducing a new body style in a couple of weeks. I know the heater has been modified but I'm not sure how much of an impact that will be on performance. Unfortunately, he is down to two Maple woodscents at the moment. It's usually $300 and I think he is including shipping too which is usually around $12...$240 including shipping (no code needed):

If you want another species, you can always try Entexchange on Reddit or you can buy one from Vgoodiez. They offer the WS in mango and only place that offers this species...$270 after discount (free shipping included...use code 'FC10%'):

Puffitup will be the best place to score an enano...$160 (free shipping...use code 'puffedup' for 15% off):

If you're looking for a ditanium, Vgoodiez should be your best bet...$242 (use code 'FC10%'):

Enano is a growing, but still small co. Larger than Woodscents, but WS just got their EU certification so it is growing too.

Thanks for pointing that out. I used the wrong wording. I don't necessarily care about the size of the company but the folks behind HI, WS and UD seem to make it a little more personable.

Ultimately, its the aesthetics that eliminates the enano for me as I have heard really good things about performance. However, I haven't heard the best reviews of their CS. Quite the opposite actually. Either way, for the price of the base model, I'm sure its a fantastic value.

@flammy, I have an enano &, as such, follow the thread. Customer service appears fine to me. Nadia & Ace participate in the thread & Nadia does IG streams regularly so I do think the company is personable.

It's only natural that if you are happy with your vapes, those are the ones you are going to favor & promote.

My experiences with Epicvape have all been positive. Just a few weeks ago I contacted them about a defective gong that I had purchased earlier. I received a reply within an hour, and another email that afternoon from Ari, giving me the tracking number of the replacement. I think that’s excellent CS.

After my post, I did go look up Enano's thread on here. The fact that I don't participate in that thread is most likely the reason why I feel the way I do. That said, I don't make recommendations purely based on what I own. I've heard great things about Enano's performance comparative to the other logs and I suggested it as an option above.

I can't recommend vapes as whole-hardheartedly if I've never used it before and unfortunately I've never had the chance so you're definitely right on that front.

Ultimately, it just didn't appeal to me as much aesthetically. From what I understand, you can't order a custom Enano but maybe I'm misinformed on this. You can however get a custom WS, HI or UD and even supply your own wood. I think the custom process that you go through will put you closer to the manufacturer as well and as such maybe a deeper appreciation is formed (although not all will get custom). I also really appreciated the fact that the WS was Dynavap compatible (and also comes with one).

If I found a gently used Enano for an attractive price, I imagine that I wouldn't hesitate to grab it. I actually missed out on one a few weeks ago that I was a little bummed on. I'm still curious to try it and imagine that I will at some point.

The CS comment comes from a handful posts that I've read on Reddit (and the accompanying affirmation comments) and perhaps its more exaggerated than what reality has to bear. I need to temper my verbiage however since I'm not speaking from personal experience. I realize now that's not fair to Epic.

I still recommend the woodscent given your requirements - but the HI (heat island) over the enano. The enano is a bigger company so it's better known. I have an enano, HI, woodscent and underdog. The HI is another very small company with it's creator a regular member here. My reason for recommending it is that Alan is another wood artist and his work is beautiful. Even the exotic wood is less than other logs plus if you want a specific shape he will design one. (Both my HI and iheat are unique shapes.) He makes great accessories like stems that are used with many different vapes. Someone named it but said it is a year wait- it's not. And the bamboo ones are reasonably priced. That would be my second choice log. Contact Alan and see what he has available.
And the underdog includes several different stems from which you can choose several.

Perhaps the wait time has changed but when I contacted Alan, he quoted me 13 months. It would be great news for all if he is just being far too conservative.

How long did you wait by chance?

I had a specially made one (tiny and shaped kind of like a vase) but are you sure it's the HI and not the iheat that has such a long wait? I know someone posted recently that there was a long wait and Alan responded saying he had some available.
