Hi,

I was wondering if anybody here could advise me on the best way to clean a full-size LSV transfer wand. Ideally I'd like to take it through an airport next week with my LSV.

put finger on one end...
fill with 91% Iso...
put finger on other end...
shake vigoraOUSLY.

run hot water....
add a drop of dish soap, fill wand with hot water,,,,
shake vigorously....
rinse VERY well with hot water...

Use shop vac to suction the glass spot free, or dry with air as you like.

Thanks for the response. It shouldn't make a big difference that I only have 70% iso on hand, right?

We realize the LSV is not cheap, but there are many reasons for this. For one, it is hand made(for example, all 56 holes at the top are drilled by hand) which takes an enormous amount of time, and also extreme precision to drill all the holes perfectly on a round tube.

That's what I don't get. Why would you want to do such a tedious, repetitive, time and money consuming process like that by hand? One of my oldest and closest friends has a metal workshop, and he'd definitely get that kind of thing laser cut. Quicker, cheaper and perfectly accurate. It's not like your custom glassware which involves unique pieces with artistic flair.
I might add that while I consider SSVChris' response a masterful press release it's replete with hyperbole and offers few concrete answers. If I were reading LSV's initial feedback between the lines I'd summarize it this way... You customer base feels you're selling a item that should retail at around $175 at best, for $300 or more without the necessary accessories. Sorry for being so blunt but I had a hellacious day!

Man...i am sitting on ounce of some really nice bud and have an LSV headed my way this week. I picked it up from a sponsor using the Blackfriday deal for $210 with free grinder. LSV direct was selling it for $299 - 30% (Black Friday coupon) = $209.3. I would never pay full price for a vape and $300 is too much to ask for the LSV saber. I picked up my arizer extreme Q from Arizer direct on ebay for $150 last year and really enjoy using the elbow packing method. I would look for deals from sponsor and on ebay / manufacture direct.

Just an update for anyone who is interested.

As of yesterday morning I still had not gotten a reply from 7th Floor regarding my power switch so I sent them another email asking for a more timely response. About an hour later I received a UPS mailing label and an email telling me to send my LSV in for repair. I got it to the UPS store in time for it to get on the truck last night and 7th Floor should have it by Thursday. Now all I can do is wait and hope I'll have it back sometime next week. At this point I'm pretty upset with the whole ordeal. I bought the unit at full price at the beginning of Nov because I wanted to be able to use it for the holidays etc...otherwise I would have just waited and saved $100 with the sale last week. So far I have not been able to use it for thanksgiving...and it looks like I probably wont be able to use it for my wife's birthday next week. Hopefully I'll have it fixed and no more issues in time for xmas weekend.

My LSV came today!
I was a little disappointed when I opened the box and saw a cream/white bag (I sent an e-mail straight after my order asking for the black one, as I already have 3 other 7th floor bags in the same color), but aside from that I am excited...
Unfortunately I can't test it out for a few hours...
The wait is killing me.
Is 12 the rough position I should try starting at?
(my knob came pre-installed - it turns on at about 7.30, and stops at about 4.00)

I can stay below noon and get nice clouds. truth is every unit is going to be a bit different on the dial. same with all 7th Floor products.

It is not just the difference between unit, it is also the electricity that matters. For example while i am running my DBV at 12 here i need to crank it up to 1:30-2:30 when i am in my home town ,not very big town so i guess it is supplied with lesser electricity. It is the same with my MW and my log vape is running a bit cooler there too.

In my own experience I've found the oft-recommended 12 o' clock setting to be useless for getting any kind of vapor on both the DBV and the LSV. On my LSV in particular I can't get a bowl to vaporize evenly at less than 2 o' clock, and I dial up the heat to the max if there's just a bit left in the bowl and I want to finish it off fast (and I've only ever combusted in the LSV once or twice.) That's about 5:30. Lots of people on these forums say that they get fires starting with anything past 3 o' clock.

All I take from that is that everyone's vape might work a little differently, so it pays to experiment for yourself and find what setting is best that way.

One thing to keep in mind is that with the LSV and I'm sure DBV and SSV...the knob is not at a fixed starting point...you could easily pull it off and make 12 o'clock the off position...so saying 1 o'clock or whatnot is not a accurate scale unless you also know what the off position is at. So if you say off is at 7 o'clock and the sweet spot is at 1 o'clock...then we have something to work with.

Hey guys, just wanted to drop by and tell everyone my experiences with the LSV. A buddy of mine let me use his LSV yesterday. I own a volcano, and a MFLB. I've used an SSV, an iolite and a few others as well.

I must say, i was very impressed with the functionality of the LSV. It warmed up quick, it was easy to use and pack, and the hits were smooth and plentiful. Great taste, glass air path, and vapor clouds were huge, if thats what you're going for. I also noticed that the bowl lasted a bit more than i would have expected it to. It seemed to me that you got more for your money than out of a MFLB trench. ABV was even, and un-charred, probably partly due to us stirring twice.

Cons for me were that the glass mouthpiece seemed a bit long and fragile, and just like the SSV, i felt as if the connection between the vape and air path seemed a bit underdeveloped. It moves and wiggles, just like the SSV.

Overall, i enjoyed using the LSV experience. I'd recommend it to someone based on performance. Not sure what the price point is, but performance seemed on point.

I'm considering buying this, but the ergonomics make me worry. Is it awkward to use it with glass pieces that are less than 12"?

A repost from our SSV thread....

The past few weeks have seen us here at 7th Floor working expeditiously so that everyone is able to have a vapetastic holidays. I haven't been able to be on FC...at all really...for some time, but have taken some time to review our forums today and address any needs. As always, the discussion on our threads is more cerebral and mature than I see on other companies threads here. I hope that means we are doing something right...putting all of our effort into make the best vapes on the planet. We, as a company, are just like you all, many different backgrounds that come together for one common goal...and like you all, we only want the best.

Lately we haven't been able to provide the level of customer service that you expect, due to us just getting hammered by emails, phone calls, etc, lately. We haven't been able to respond to all of them in a timely manner. Ideally, I would like a 30 minute turnaround on emails and phone calls that we can't answer immediately. But right now this just isn't possible. Having read the forums from before my time at 7th Floor, I new that customer service needed to get better, and get better fast...and of course I hope that it has. But know that our inability to return your communication as fast as you would like is due to the business of building vapes occasionally taking precedence. As a rapidly growing company, we constantly debate adding new employees...we never want leverage ourselves our too far as labor costs are our #1 expense. So we only add people to the family when we are bursting at the seams. Its a conservative approach, one that obviously has it consequences in regards to customer service. But its an approach we take because we are in this for the long run; we want to pass this company on to our children, not make a quick buck and get out. But - without a stellar product and a great relationship with our customers, we can't achieve our goals. In that light...we have doubled our CS team. None of us like hearing that it took too long to return a call or an email, so please know that we are doing everything in our power to resolve this and make the experience better.

8 years ago this company started in a single room of a home...and today has grown to 37 proud and dedicated employees that are truly committed to making, and enjoying, the greatest vape on earth. We know that we have the freshest tasting, hardest hitting, most customizeable vapes you can buy, and we will never stop trying to make them better. Through our experience and of course your input, we relentlessly pursue this goal. So we take this moment to thank you for everything. From all of us, to all of you. THANK YOU!

We float around slogans for 7th Floor as a company quite often, but always come back to one: 'We are You' .

We keep coming back to it because we feel it isn't so much a slogan, as it is the truth.

discount code - fc15 - gets all of you 15% until Jan 2, all our sites. (you must be logged in for the code to work) And of course, chris@7thfloor.biz.

SirTokesAlot,
I have tried my LSV with my 14 inch Rx industries beaker, 11 inch syn beaker, and a weedstar double showerhead bubbler (where the top of the downstem is just about level with the mouthpiece).

I didn't find it awkward at all with any of them, but the weedstar bubbler was the least ergonomic of the 3.

---

I must say, I'm loving the LSV. I have decided that I'm not the biggest fan of the transfer wands, but that's mostly just an issue of my lungs not liking vapor that hasn't been water treated. (I didn't notice a massive difference between the heat of the vapor between the long and short transfer wands, I thought that the long one would have provided a bit more cooling.)

I havent tried it with the vapor tamer yet, but it is next on my list. Im hoping it goes better for me than the transfer wand on its own, which it should do if it's anything like my ssv.

Is the Saturn vapor tamer that much of an upgrade? I have 2 old style vapor tamers, so I'm not sure if I can justify the upgrade.

Can anyone give me some reccomend actions for a stand?
I plan on taking the LSV with me when I go over to a friends place where table space gets taken up very quickly, so having a small stand on the table would mean I don't have to leave the LSV on my lap for prolonged periods of time (which can lead to some uncomfortable crotch warmings lol).

You can use the case it comes with as a stand, but that could take up more room then the Saber alone.

Deez gives proper advice here.
Use the open bag to lay down the LSV while it is on and hot. The bag is a wonderful insulator, and will protect the LSV from being yanked off the table also!

hmmm...I was on vacation last week and was a cheap skate so picked free shipping. Did not get it till today and was stuck at work all day. I am home now and in love with the LSV SABER. This is like my log vape but so much more powerful of a hit and taste amazing. If the inventor of the log vape bought a vape he would buy the lsv saber but in reality that person would use a hakko iron and build it. :brow:

Edit: My sweet spot seems to be half way between 12-1 for wand and just a little more with running it through a water adapter. Need to look into why I did not get a shortie wand in my order instead of tall.

thanks

good that you received your LSV dudu and good to see positive reviews! Im so anxious, my LSV arrived in my country at December 6. But the national postal service here sucks. So if I have luck I will receive it the next week. Enjoy it for the people that dont have vaporizers!!

Quick update for those who care:

No word from 7th floor on my repair other than a quick "it has been received" response when I asked for an update. This makes me very very sad...with my birthday this Friday, xmas eve this Saturday, and xmas this Sunday...I was really hoping to have it back by now...I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that it will show up sometime in the next 3 days...
