I have been trying to get anyone to make me a mouthpiece that is attracted to magnets. I want to put a magnet on a cowbell, and see if it rings my bell when it clicks. I built an apparatus that rotates the VC over a flame, just can't tell when it clicks cause I'm not touching it. This might be a solution to tinnitus. Is anybody out there? Doc

I can relate to the need to create apparatus to get around a disability I am legally blind...my lathe has magnifiers and loupes hanging all over it! I will give your situation some thought.
2 things come to mind right now
1 there are rare earth magnets , flat disc like we use for DV stuff, with a countersunk hole in the middle.
2 I think a one piece stem will transmit vibrations better than a stem with a mouthpiece on it.

I've been opening up old used desktop computer hard drives, two (rare earth I think) magnets inside each HD, no holes in the actual magnets but they are mounted on a piece of (SS) with a few pre-drilled holes which work to screw/tack/glue to a desk top or alternatively stick to the lid of a decorative can, put the lid back on = stable heat sink and store the dynavap and accessories inside when not in use.

The magnets out of an old hard drive, one temporarily stuck on the top of my cauldron induction heater.
Good SOLID hold to the vapcap. BUT... kind of an eyesore. lol
Okay everyone. I'm going to momentarily swallow a lifetime of pride and avoiding asking others for help with (what I consider) major things.
I waited for the recent Fourth of July sale to purchase provisions in the hopes that I'd be one of the people who would receive a KarmaVap with their order.
I have a good friend up in Vermont who could desperately benefit from switching from combustion to vaping. Especially using a dynavap. Was going to send him mine if I got one. As you know or might guess..... Didn't happen. Lol
Someone later clued me in about the dynavap live video and special code. Well, don't I feel like a dumbass? smh
Needless to say I was going to try to clean up my shadow M and just send him that but I can't get it clean enough where my paranoia will feel comfortable shipping it Interstate to him.
I've read lots of people who've gotten KarmaVaps and no one to gift them to.
If I could possibly beg someone with one to ship it to him for me, Please PM me and I'll give you his name and address and If you throw me some details, I'll HAPPILY get you back for the shipping!
There are NO hard feelings if no one can help me on this.
(it's the internet. I get it. lol
Someone on the dynavap Reddit mentioned gifting someone a KarmaVap and a couple weeks later, the douchebag sold it. smfh)

Just an FYI, for mounting your magnets on nearly ANYTHING,
instead of super/crazy glue, I highly recommend THIS!
I've never been much of one for product name endorsements, but I've had super glue fail several times over the years due to heat.
J-B Weld does not suffer from that problem. I've used it to repair Mufflers & Things several times over the years and never a problem with heat loosening the bond.
The Bond sets in about 10 seconds, Full cures in about 24 hours, and will stand up to about 3500 PSI.
AND
A tiny drop is literally all you need to Mount Your magnet to whatever surface. A little really DOES go a long way with J-B Weld.
Hopefully, someone finds that useful.

@stardustsailor hasn't been around on the forum lately. I do hope all is well with him. He makes beautiful titanium stems in various patterns; hammered, bark textured, abstract stripes, epoxy coated in swirling colors and the beloved knurl.
Here's mine. I love the knurl pattern. It has a removable mouthpiece that doubles as a screen setter. It's got a wonderful grip and is very functional. It's got a great industrial look that I find so attractive.
I'm in love with this midsection ... gotta have one ...

the glass stem is well recognized here, but I wanted to give a shoutout regarding his magnetic tools.
The DV cap digger is great when you are on the go
the TRRW tools are an upgrade for Station use.
the magnet will pull and hold a hot cap while cleaning out the tip. Also, a member recently heralded a techique of pulling the cap while drawing vapor. I think he called it steamroller. When I read that I thought of making a tool to do that...as it turns out, Dave already has.

Hope everyone had a good fourth. Had to show off the dynavap to the cart heads of NYC during fireworks. Of course during my demo I dropped my tip and cap between some planks of a deck. Hoping to get under there in the daylight. This messes the wholeflow up now that's 3 without tips... 2 without caps ...but I just ordered 2 tips and just lost 1 and 1. Funny how I started all this trying to get a karma to give away and never got. Its all good ive passed 3 on to friends since April and still have a bunch. Got a few glass grav chilliums that fit coming to a few users. And as usual will work on getting some pics lol.
