Interesting footnote to my evening. Back from rehearsal, and I break out one of my convection vapes that I packed (a L’il Bud Elite)...too much work when not at home. Solution? Break out a pre-loaded VC. Add 2 high gravity IPA’s. Boom:cheers:

Thanks for the shout out @danielj and for the awesome stems. Loving both of them.

The smaller stem is is the full 8mm bore with condenser and DJ's super nice spinning MP's that I'm starting to prefer over both wood and Ti. I also really love this hourglass design. It fits and feels really good in the hand. The larger stem has the 8mm bore for the tip and a 5mm bore through the stem. Both vape really nicely and I'm excited to get to know them.

On a vacation road trip so I am digging the Pipes Portside Mini and the shotgun style E'levate stash box immensely. I can sit outside the hotel room and it looks I just have some schlick two piece nicotine vape box . I am only using CBD flower but it is still nice to be incognito. I can prefill two DV's in the stash box and hand one to Mrs. Squanch so she can can use the IH on her own. She doesn't dig using the touch and it is a bit of a pain to have to set the click but then hand it away.
Happy 4th!

I have a question for you expert vapcappers. I started with a '18 M a few months ago and I love the thing. I was using it mostly through water with the fat mouthpiece until I grabbed a Strong Arm V2 about a month ago.

I ordered (hopefully I can pick it up today from the post office) an Omnivap XL and a Darkwood Stem along with extra SS and TI screens and both sizes of o-rings. Need to have some backups right?

My dilemma now (while the sale is still on) is what else to buy. I'm considering an extra TI Tip w/cap to swap into my Strong Arm along with an XL condenser and spinning TI mouthpiece to use with the Darkwood stem. Or do I buy an Omnivong XL Lightwood and then I can swap stems as I see fit plus the extra Ti Tip w/Cap.

My question is, is the Omni better than a spinning mouthpiece? I realize the functional differences but in practice what do you guys/gals prefer? I can see the added benefit of having help to spin while torching but is that worth the trade off of losing the Omni adjustable AirPort?

I'll be building an induction heater as soon as all my parts come so that may take over as my primary heating source.

Another question too, besides Simrell are there any other options for titanium pieces that fit directly into a stem without the need for a fat mouth piece? I love those Simrell pieces but I don't think I can justify the cost. It would be $365 CAD for a full setup in Galactic Camo at regular price plus tax.

@stardustsailor makes some amazing pieces but he seems to be MIA. @phattpiggie also makes some gorgeous that I need to keep looking at. Mostly wood options I've come across so far. Ed's TnT is another maker of fine looking stems. Anyone I'm forgetting?

Edit: Just noticed the sale on Simrell. I doubt that includes customs?

@SquirrelMaster I'm too high to answer your question about the different combos but i can give you my opinion on this one

My question is, is the Omni better than a spinning mouthpiece?

IMHO not only based on price but utility, the spinning mouthpiece is the way to go

Question to the group? Anyone know the heat rating or the material of the DV condenser X Rings? I just purchased some that are Buna Nitrile and are black like the original DV ones. They are rated to 250F. There do not seem to be any high heat silicone X Rings?

Just a tiny detail folks,

a censer is the church/crown/incense burner dealie
a sensor takes readings like a temperature gauge on yr dashboard

To all of those in the United States who celebrate it, happy Independence Day America! And let's take a moment to remember, respect, and appreciate, the sacrifices of those who cannot be here to enjoy it with us.

Hah, if you'd waited only one more post, you'd have been on the top of page 1776!

Hello there if you are strictly a waterpiece, then these are my thoughts

- you havexsn omni on the way most folks prefer a closed airport for water usage.. the omni provides that. Also since the onni has a metal mouthpiece, it wont swell up like wood if it gets wet while in the waterpiece
- the spinning mouthpiece does make it easier for some people to use while heating. I fibd that the added length is what helps more. If using in water, get either a ti mouthpiece, on one of my acetal mouthpieces to prevent swelling. The spinners main benefit is for mouth use as it makes rocking and festhering the airport easier. But in water its better not to have thecsirport stvsl....thus the omni.
- consider using a ss tip rather than a ti tip for water. While it tskes a bit longer to heat, it stays hot longer, which is a benefit for water usage

For water, I would lose the spinning mp, the ti tip and get a ss tip/cap and a xl condenser.

try the omni If you like it, then your only upgrade would be a ti stem with the taper for a waterpiece. If you find one that is xl length and does not have an airport...then the xl cobdenser will work in it, no mp, no airport YMMV

@GtrBob of course, should have caught that Censor as in incense. the swinging ball censor used in church is called a thurible It generates serious amounts of smoke

I've been admiring some of the stem makers here for a while, but never really got the opportunity to invest in some of the beautifully made art pieces. However, I decided to try and make my own.

I've never really made anything, don't own any special tools, but I have an old drill with a stand.
Bought a burl pen blank for 7 euros and some sandpaper and was pretty much ready to go. :science:

This is the result:

Inside are Dynavap XL condenser and two o-rings:

I know it ain't anything special but I am very happy how it turned out and I really like it, especially cause this was my first try.

I can see the added length helping a lot with spinning, my M is bit tougher to heat I find with it's petite size. I didn't even consider the spinning mouthpiece WHILE taking a draw. I've thought of just getting another SS tip but the '19 model for better airflow my only reservation is possibly getting hit with duty when it comes across the border to Canada. It doesn't seem like I can buy the tips yet otherwise.

Is there a spot you have your customs shown that I can look at by chance?

I have an xl condenser and mp on both my M and my ti stem I find the added length helpful while heating

I used water in the beginning cuz I was getting material thru the screens and irritating my lungs. Once I stopped grinding and just broke the herb apart, I stopped needing the water.

my page is http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/o-danny-boy-…the-pipes-the-pipes-are-calling-dynavap.35724/

Its kind of a mess...I wish I could delete it and start over but it does show my mouthpieces and early stems at the bottom are pic of current stems sold

I will have a few stems soon, and I have a few mouthpieces in stock

pm me if interested

I'm in Canada. I've made many purchases from Dynavap over the last three plus years, some small, some large. I've never been charged with customs.

I think that the chances are good that your parcel will smoothly make it to your mailbox without incident.

The omni xl is my favorite overall. I don't use water every day so it's typically just used with an induction heater. The cheap fat rubber mouthpiece will do in a pinch or you can get a long vong body (stem?) for bubbler use.

I tried out my new Omnivap XL and then swapped stems to Darkwood and tried some more. I had only used my '18 M up until this point when it comes Dynavap products.

Immediately upon opening the Omnivap XL I laughed thinking how much money I had just spent on such a little weightless object that looks so unsuspecting. That's not a knock on it by any means, just that some people I know would scoff at what $250 (MSRP CDN) will get you... until they used it lol.

Both of these combos just upped the anty huge for me. Wow, just wow. I don't know if it's the titanium tip, condenser or the slightly longer length, though I would wager it's all three but I am amazed at how much of an improvement they make when running dry compared to my '18 M. Either XL stem is fun to use and I'm glad I have both. Rotating the titanium xl stem is extremely satisfying with the textured exterior while the Nonavong stem also feels great with its wider dimensions.

The improved heat up time and cool down time is noticeable and as you said @danielj stainless steel is a better choice through water as it holds the heat longer.

I had a dilemma at this point which I quickly corrected with an order to Dynavap.
1 - 19 SS Tip (for comparison)
1 - Titanium Tip (there's a custom stem in my immediate future though I may have to wait a month or two)
2 - Caps
1 - Dynabuilder Light Wood NonaVonG Stem Titanium Spinning Mouthpiece Titanium Tip
1 - Standard Condenser

Friggin VAS!
