Lonesome Planet
So I got a pleasant surprise in the mail yesterday. Seems that the 2019 M that I bought from Planet Vape CA must have been from the faulty run of tips as they sent me a new one with the (noticeable) deeper grooves. I really didn't find the first one unusable just tight and being relatively new to the dynaverse all I've had to compare it to was my 2018 model which I'd only bought a few weeks earlier. Haven't tried it yet, (still experimenting with my new ti tip) might save it and buy a dynacoil for it sometime in the near future........

This thing might really be the VAS killer for me, especially if it ends up cooking concentrates properly !

You don’t yet realize, you have just entered the vortex....:spliff:

Any issues with the standard condenser/x-ring/spinning mouthpiece set up being loose in Ti omni bodies? Or is the omni condenser a tighter fit than the normal set up?? Logically I'd have thought they're the same, and have never seen it mentioned before, but...

Asking as I've managed to get hold of an older version Ti omni body, and while I don't have an omni condenser set up, I noticed my standard Ti condenser with spinning mouthpiece and x rings is very loose at the mp end (the tip end fits nice and snug). It's so loose in fact, that the spinning mp/condenser pretty much falls out of the body...

I can get an omni condenser for it, but am reluctant to if I'll have the same issue with that.

Any thoughts s as I'm stumped

The ti condenser is slightly narrower than the ss version based on observation from my own collection. The grey orings are also slightly thinner than the previous black. If you have some old gear try swapping and see if it’s a tighter fit

forgive me for stating the obvious, but all bases need to be covered....have you mixed up the xring sizes?

on the condenser there sre 3 grooves that the xrings sit in 2 of the xrings are 7mm od, 1 is 8mm od

starting from the tip end of the condenser- 7mm xring; it ends up being in the mid point of the condenser
the 8mm xring goes close to the mouthpiece end, but no at the very end. it is the xring that fits into the end of the stem
then the mouthpiece, then the other 7mm xring

if all is right there, then there may be a error in the od of the condenser, or the id of the stem. I would try different xrings first I may have some of the black ones...If I do, I can send a few your way

I’m pretty OCD and I have enough gear collected over time to notice there are tolerance differences based on batch regardless if it’s wood or metal. These are the little differences I observed in my own collection because I know everything so well. Knowing that is why I stated “observations from my own collection”.:)

VapCap wins again

This time I gave woodworker another battery vape, begins with T, and a sidecar water piece

He still prefers the VapCap vapor, more satisfying

Asked about draw duration, and he said 20-30 seconds on the convection battery vape with sidecar. His wife can't sustain long draws, but he was in SEAL training here in San Diego. That's why he uses cannabis, helps ease back pain -- injured jumping from helicopters -- much respect

Told him he should get a vapcap Eds Tnt glass WPA from vgoodiez

Yes there are some tolerance differences. I got a ti spinning mouthpiece that wouldn’t spin on any condenser I own. It’s a tight fit onto the condenser but still moves. It becomes fixed when the mouthpiece end x-ring goes on. I think it was just drilled out slightly too shallowly in that inset for the x-ring.

Dynavap did send me a new one when I let them know of the problem. And though I expected to return the defective one, they didn’t ask for it back. It looks nice, and doesnt spin, on my Blackwood vong body that is slightly too wide to work with my dynastash.

I had the same problem with the Ti spinning mouthpiece. Vaposhop switched it for a new one but also didn't spin. I got refunded as they couldn't help me any further.

@almost there @danielj & @Dynalowrider
Thanks for the answers guys....

X-rings are pretty new and fit tight in my other bodies.
They are in the right order of size (small/big/small), yes , I knew that would be suggested.

I've actually kind of figured out the problem. The issue was with the newer grey x-rings, so I swapped them out for some older black ones and now everything is fitting snugly as I'd expect it
Unbelievable the difference between the two though... guess I'd better look after those black ones as they're the only set I have.

Oh Danavap boy, the Pipes, the Pipes PortSide is charging...
This Schexy Thing was in my mailbox today. I can't wait to take it for a test ride after it is finished charging up.
Edit: oh man this thing is awesome. It is efficient the way it evenly heats the whole tioe. The clouds are huge. I didn't think a DV could make such huge clouds.

For DynaCoil users, do you prefer to leave the CCD in place or remove it?

I started out with the CCD removed, but think I might prefer using the coil with CCD installed. It adds just a little bit of restriction but might keep the chamber a little cleaner.
I have always used it left in. Also I double up on screens. And sometimes sandwich a tiny bit of hemp fiber, Even w the coil there. Or on a ti tip I set a stainless screen lowest and a ti one in a higher notch with some fiber between. I like a super tight draw and the fiber helps w that sluping you somtimes get when you put a little too much. Cuts down on cleaning a bunch and also throw the used fiber into a cap as a treat of its own. I actually prefer reg flower to the coil lately. I feel like It waste some w the coil and flower screens it just as good. hoped this helped but Maybe I'm using it all wrong. We need a new super detailed video from George on the science of the dyna coil. "Airport" vol 2.. lol.
