Yeah it was def shocking to see even the African Mahagoney had been sold. I suspect he may have just temporary closed up shop while he dives into further stages of completion for the FW6, who knows? On the bright side I was able to scoop up a used FW5 with a few scratches and nicks on Reddit Ent exchange for a reasonable price. Hoping this unit becomes my daily driver portable.

It's a great portable vape. The distinction is that its a stellar pocketable vape. Not all portables are pocketable and not many as pocketable as this. Performs really well and ergonomically designed to fit well in hand. Personally not a big fan of the tray and find that emptying can be a little tedious. That said, minor gripes. I was really pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. Easily one of my favorites.

EDIT: Super pumped about FW6. Love the continued innovation. Shows passion IMO.

I am already really enjoying my FW5. I am surprised at how small and light it is, you can forget its in your pocket hah. I was also very happy with how effective the vape signature is, i usually just fill two of the bowls on the tray and have about 2-3 draws on each bowl. I am liking level 3 on the temp settings.

If anybody is looking there's a FW3 and FW4 on sale at Ent exchange right, i guess ppl selling off their old FW series in prep for the FW6 release.

I couldn't give up any of my FW's. It will be a sad day when the FW3 battery craps out on me.

Is the FW4 worth considering if one already has a FW5?

In my opinion, yes. I think the flavor is better on the FW4 and I like the form factor. BUT...if you don't like the capsule approach, you won't like the FW4. As I've said, I prefer the capsule to the carrier that the FW5 has but I think I may be in the minority there.

Thanks for the info. Better? Interesting. I think the flavor on the FW5 is already pretty nice. I personally don't love the tray system. I've used capsules for other vapes without issue. I'm pretty ambivalent with it comes to that.

I'm looking at the FW4 offered on entexchange but he's asking a little too much for me. Plus with the FW6 around the corner, it makes it tougher. VAS.

I have to say, the more I experiment the more I find this FW5 to be perfect for microdosing. It's signature when you pack it and draw just right is absolutely amazing! It has flavor, coolness of vapor, and best of all it is efficient. If you are on the fence and are worried the 5 bowl tray is too finicky or won't hold enough per bowl to satisfy you, think again, as long as your product is above avg I would expect to feel pretty strong effect from 2-3 nice draws on this device.

It doesn't have to be a sad day...

You can just buy 4 more AA rechargeable batteries and swap them out. All you need is a small flathead screwdriver.

In fact I use 4 ikea batteries as well as the 4 eneloop batteries and simply swap them out when flat and use an external charger. My battery lid is held on with rubber bands for a quick swap, and to avoid stripping out the screw holes with regular chages. It's not pretty but the fw3 is never unavailable.

There's little difference in performance between the two types (although stock eneloops are better)

Thanks for the reminder. I've never removed the lid because I remember complaints about the screw hole getting stripped. There's still hope!

As an FYI, there was a walnut tung FW5c available last night on the website. Unfortunately it is now gone. For those looking for a FW5, it looks like they might still be produced albeit in very small numbers it seems.

I have to say, the FW5 is growing on me. As I continue to use it and things loosen up, I'm as likely to grab it as the FW4. I think I still like the taste of the FW3 a bit better but the FW4 and FW5 are just so damned small and convenient.

Is there a waiting list?

I would also like to join.

I did give Marc my email address to be notified when they become available. I'm not sure what method he prefers for people to use to do that (DM vs. email) but I'm sure @firewood will be able to jump in to provide clarity on this when he has a chance.

Does anyone still use their FW4 daily? Stock heat settings or increased, and by how much? I'm wondering how long the heater will last.

I've been using mine daily since it was first released, until a few months ago. Seemed like it wasn't heating as well, even after bumping up the temp to level 1, so i decided to switch to a Dynavap 2019 M for awhile. Now I'm starting to use the FW4 again and still feel that the heater is weaker. But I will keep using it because the flavor and high is so much better than the M.
