Ditanium vaporizer

I have both a DBV (the second vape I ever purchased, after my MFLB) and an SSV, both of which still function like new, so I'm not in a huge hurry...but this Ditanium strikes me as an upgrade from my SSV.

However, I would love to see something like the original SSV glass connection or the spherical connection in titanium on the Ditanium, because I like having a little more control over the airflow for even roasting. I have no interest in leaving the wand connected to the vape between hits, so the conical connection is the only thing not making me feel like I have to have this vape right now.

This Ditanium would look better on my coffee table though.

@beyond6strings I did the same but it actually shocked me how small it is. I assumed it was bigger.

Stacked hits will ruin your whole perception of what dabs can be. I like how high concentrates get me but enjoy the full spectrum effects of flower a bit more. It's the best of both worlds.

Even so, my desk needed the organization. I have a tendency to spread out horizontally. Just moved a mixer to a stand under the desk, and cleaned up chords and put a multi-tap on my desk so I don't have to worry about an extension chord.

Got some nice concentrates and flower from the dispensary so I'll be ready when it arrives this afternoon.

I too am a flower first kind of cannabist, but I'm really looking forward to the stacked dabs. I don't know how often I'll use concentrates solo, but the Ditanium certainly makes that a more appealing option than my Dabox. And I certainly expect to do stacked dabs with CBD flower; especially at night since I got some really nice high terpene Indica distillate.

The Ditanium got here and I could not be happier. Really sweet. This is a way better option than either of the Arizer desktops. Those were really the only others I'd considered as I just couldn't see spending in the $400-$700 range.

I put about .2g of what I call a super hybrid (I grind a little of one strain at a time, but rarely vape all that I grind. I dump the remaining goodies in a glass jar with a 62% Boveda pack. So there can be as many as 6-8 different strains in there and as much as 4-6g at any one time. But I digress), and tamped it as I've seen suggested, started at noon and went up to about 1 on the dial over the course of about 12 really nice draws. I experimented with the whip and an old Grav Lab wp. I stirred 5-6 times, and ended up with very even, golden-brown ABV. I ended up enjoying going through the piece more as it had more draw resistance and I felt like I had more control.

And the taste. Just Wow. One of the things about using a water piece instead of a whip is the taste on the lips. The Grav Lab I used is upright, old school with your lips on the inside when you hit it, and man does that leave flavor on your lips and tongue in a way the whip doesn't.

I had things to do so I've not tried any concentrates. I plan on doing that a bit later as day turns to night. I'll let you know how that goes. I've never dabbed before on any kind of 'rig' before, so it will be fun and new for me. My concentrate use has been limited to cartridges, DaBox, and hemp fiber or a weed sandwich in a vapcap, I know I'll enjoy this a lot more. In fact, thinking about how I've used concentrates in the past made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

Congratulations on your new Ditanium. It sounds devine. May you have many happy moments, over many happy years, with your new vape. :leaf:

So I learned very quickly that stacked dabs will be saved for special events. Wow did that pack a punch.

I also want to dial in my concentrate technique without having to worry about flower. You know concentrate on the concentrates. But the flavor I got from the concentrate was so much better than any other delivery system. And more efficient as well.

I'm going to mix up some of my special 3-1 CBD/THC flower blend this morning and give it a try.

I know folks leave this on, but with three cats running around all night my plan is to turn it on when I wake up and turn it off when I go to bed. It's warming up as I type.

@Ramahs yessir you really do want one. It's tiny. I'm still shocked at how small it is.

I dealt with the single biggest negative for me (hard to see line on the knob) by slapping some White-out over it. Now I can see what I'm doing. It looks like a sea gull shit on it, but it's handy.

One of my first summer jobs was literally putting the white line on knobs for things like thermostats, radios, and ovens. I made as many as 5,000 in a day. I can't imagine it would cost them more than 25¢ per unit to add a clearly visible white line. That's a real design "doh?!" for me.

But that's really my only negative on this vaporizer. I don't mind the short chord since I keep a 5 plug multi-tap on my desk, and I don't mind the whip at all. I'm developing a routine, take it off the enail first, then from the water piece. I don't mind that there's no 'handle' for the hot end-I just put it into a circle and put the hot end over the silicon near the mouthpiece end.

This will be my preferred daytime device since by leaving it on I have an on-demand convection vaporizer that I can start vaping on in seconds. And because the extraction is ridiculous. I keep the dial at about 1:30 or so, and I get 12-15 big draws from about .2g.

I like that I don't have to worry about batteries or butane, or heat up time. I really never thought I'd be a desktop vaporist, but the Ditanium has made me a believer. And I now have a fully-stocked second vape station on my desk.

I'll be ordering a Titanium handpiece when the next batch of money arrives. Cleaning and seating the screen seem like the only future hurdle. I think when I get the Titanium handpiece I'll use that exclusively for flower and the occasional stacked dab since it's so much easier to deal with the screen, and use the glass handpiece without a screen at all for concentrates.

Big shout out to @Sneaky Pete who recommended it to me. Thanks buddy.

Hey @beyond6strings , really glad you're happy with it and to see the family grow!

For what's it's worth, the Ti handset has a smaller bowl and it's much closer to the heating element. You may want to start at a lower temp to compensate until you've found your groove.

I'm staying at noon for concentrates and 1:30 for flower. with the glass piece. I expect to dial it back to noon when I get the Ti handpiece for the reasons you mentioned, but I'll be on the glass only for at least a week or three. And at 1:30 I can get really lovely tasty vapor from .25g lightly tamped stirring after ever two to three hits.

Cheers

I am curious to know the electrical specs of the Ditanium as I live in Australia, are the capable to be ran at 240v?

I tried looking around on their site and elsewhere and couldn't find any information. I would suggest you contact the company directly. Here's a link to their website: https://enailvaporizer.com/

Of course my research ended up costing me as I realized after spending time on their site that I needed the Titanium handpiece and the carb cap. But I do. And now my VAS, and accessory VAS is nearly quenched.

Once @Sneaky Pete has the Mega Globe in stock I'm done til Christmas.

I've ordered the Ti hand piece and a carb cap from Ditanium. Really looking forward to getting that.

The company could use some help with its site and general retail customer service. $18 as the cheapest shipping option on a $100 order really won't cut it in 2019, and feels like gouging.

Will check in Monday after it arrives.

Couldn't find anything on a UK model and contacting Ditanium has proven to be a waste of time...no reply as of yet. If anyone that has one could see if there is a tag on it stating voltage requirements would be great.

Can anyone share with me if the unit is powered via a transformer, like one that would power a laptop. if it does have the transformer then its highly likely that it is 240v compatible.

From what I'm seeing on the IG page, it's simply a cord with the 220V plug. And a new aluminum knob. No transformer on it. So not sure if it is variable.

Appears it will be VapeFiend stocking in the UK.

Well, @Sneaky Pete has the Mega Globe in stock but man, it’s a long time until Christmas. Are you absolutely sure that nothing else will tickle your VAS until then? If you say so... I’ll make no such claims!

Yep, I snagged the Globe which arrives today, same with the Ditanium Ti handpiece, and then later this week I get an IH. I've gotten two new vapes in the past month that I've had my eyes on for a couple of years, and just added some accessories to get the most use from both new and old vapes.

There's not a thing I need in my vaporization world except the flower to vaporize, and I'm in a legal state...So...Color me happy as a pig...

@Gweedo I scoured my unit and the manual they sent along. There is no mention of the electrical components, power, etc. Sorry.

That globe is awfully purdy. I'll get it as soon as they offer one without a logo, even if the price is higher.

@Ramahs and @MasterChief I got it Monday and the Mega Globe is the bomb. But I have a feeling you'll have long wait if you want one without the logo. I mean it is a Sneaky Pete Globe.

It is the perfect companion to the Ditanium. And if a vaporizer can make you more efficient it has done that. My desk is set up better, and I'm at my desk getting more done since I've added the desktop to my desktop. Go figure.

EDIT: The Ti piece arrived but it is meh for me. I thought it was meant to be more efficient offering better extraction at lower temps. It's really meant for micro-dosing and does that okay, but it's not how I use the Ditanium. And it's a pain to remember to take it off the nail after 30 seconds.

I use the Ditanium mostly to vape a blend of CBD and THC flower throughout the day. All CBD to begin and then add a bit of THC as the day progresses. I load .25g-.4g in it and sip on it over the course of the morning and afternoon while I work. So...if you're Ti curious PM me.

Just got the Ti handpiece from piu. I had been doing the DDave Mod with the 14mm rimless basket but that was problematic as the basket hangs right on the edge and would periodically be pushed off. The Ti handpiece rocks! So much easier to use then the glass one for replacing the screen and cleaning. The only downside is the frosted glass wand I can't see the vapor as well as with the original clear glass wand.

Cheers!

How are you loading your Ti handpiece? Because I can't get mine to work anywhere near as well as I can use the OG glass handpiece. Very uneven ABV, I've tried a tight pack a very loose pack, a full and loose pack and nothing but bland wispy vapor. Load it into the glass piece and it's back to clouds.

What am I doing wrong?
