You probably have a little way to go, but I strongly suspect it will be totally worth it!

The wait for the batch 3 Nomad's has definitely felt like it has gone by quicker than it has; definitely in part due to the bi-monthly updates that Dan emails out. Seeing his overall process is both extremely interesting and artistic. The update this week with the raw pigments for the custom-painted sleeves has got me excited for what's to come! I can practically see my Nomad coming to life!

Shame I'll likely be waiting a bit longer due to my custom sleeve and collar, but it's worth the wait!

Well worth the wait, she hits however you like, right in the face or like a soft kiss. You choose...

I’m really enjoying Dan’s email updates on the progress of this batch.

It’s more than I expected & amazing to see the lichen harvesting, the bronze work, & the timber come to life.

I feel included on the process & even got a look at the new shop dog Willy which put a smile on my face.

Thanks for the great work Dan much appreciated.

Agreed! Those have been very much appreciated. It satisfies my curiosity just enough that I can wait.

Thanks @Dan Morrison!

I really think it helps, I’ve preordered vapes before & heard nothing for years, but the way Dan is doing it you get an idea of where you’re at & a peek into the process.

Plus from the photo I saw a few years back it looks like they’re all being properly made in Santa’s workshop.

Hey, uh, where would I go about getting on the list for one of these? I'm sorry if that seems like a stupid or noobish question but I don't know the first thing about this process, lmao. All I know is that these things are absolutely gorgeous. There's not a lot about them outside of this thread, though, so I have a couple questions.

Price isn't really a factor when I'm looking at something this quality, but if y'all can say roughly what would you be plopping down for one of these? I hope that's not gauche to ask.

Do these have a MOSFET or any kind of integrated circuitry or are they fully unregulated? I'm nervous about fully unregulated so a MOSFET at minimum would really help me feel safe.

Yep, the base price is $300 usd. Plus $25 for international shipping.

@Penny Wise - It's fully mechanical, no safety features. Having just a MOSFET doesn't really add any safety features either. Alone, it's just another way of switching power on/off. Things do get confusing though, since many "MOSFET" mods from the vape world incorporate additional circuitry with various added protections...

In any case, the Nomad does require a basic level of battery safety knowledge, just like any other 18650 powered device, unregulated or not.

The main safety points are mostly about how you handle your batteries, not exposing them to harsh environments like inside of a car in the summer, keeping the wrap in pristine condition, and being mindful of the charge level so as not to over-drain.

This. It's so important to understand battery safety. Thank you for the gentle reminder and tips, Dan. I actually shy away from using my 18650 or even LiPo powered vapes when out and about during the summer heat. My dynavap gets more coverage during those times.

If you could manage to throw up some more pics (aka Nomad porn), it will make my wait less painful. Kidding...not kidding.

Getting excited for all of those that are about to receive their Nomads.

@flammy, Very Important indeed!

Heh, I have been slacking on the publicly shared photos lately, I know. All my photo posting efforts have been tied up with the batch 3 behind the scenes updates that I send bi-weekly to those batch members...

But, I'm starting to wonder why I don't just share them on my Instagram... or here. Maybe I'll dump them all into an album and post it.

The problem I face with batch production is that I've already posted so many photos of the process... I start to feel like I'm just repeating the same photos. But... I know that's not really true, and I know everyone wouldn't mind one bit! But you know... it kind of takes the wind out of my sails in a way... at least until I get a new angle on a new process...or make a new jig or something. I like to share new things, ya know!?

Anyhow, thanks for the prompt, I'll see what I can do, haha.

I prefer unregulated. I like to be in full control of my experience.
