When will the 12 ton 4x7 AIO unit be available, approximately? I'm trying to decide if I should get the 10 ton drip tec or wait for the AIO. Thanks!

Hi there, we will not be carrying a 12 ton AIO unit as we were not satisfied with a bottle jack option, so we have redesigned the larger press to use a hydraulic cylinder and a pump (sold seperately). The units should be available in less than a month on our factory webstore. I would only recommend the 12-ton unit if you plan on processing large quantities of material. It's best to use a platen size that is well suited to what you intend to press the majority of time.

And how do we get the dp5 code to work?

I might just pull the trigger and get a new press altogether ... :)

Coupon Code DP5 is applied during the checkout process. Please advise, the coupon code discount is not able to be used in addition to bundle order coupons. Usually I recommend for customers to use our coupon code if purchasing a number of items at once as you will have a better overall savings on your cart versus using the bundle discount. This is due to a limitation on the shopify webstore cart, only one coupon code works per order.

@superdang9000 very nice hash and hash rosin you have there, love the opaque color. Great work all around!

@invertedisdead lovin that golden budder! I need to send the customers to this page when they ask if a gauge is necessary ;) Oh, I finally found dry ice, very closeby, and it's dirt cheap! I'm gonna be getting on that. I have some sift right now but it's not very blonde so it's been more of a bowl topper, wanna get the blondies/goldies!

I'd love to get a tumbler but I wonder if just a quick session with dry ice chunks in water hash bags would preserve more of the terpenes than the air moving on the sift for how long it takes?

Can Anybody confirm this is the right pump (with the correct connexion) for the hr10t35v press?

That is indeed the pump that you want. We include the male coupler with our press for you to swap out on the end of the hose to insure a perfect pairing in the event there are differences.

-----------

Some news from the factory:

Our 10000 PSI hand pump with gauge finished stress testing. It will be available for purchase in under a month.

Driptech skeleton frame to accommodate hydraulic cylinder and platens of your choice. This option is strictly for the DIY'er as you will need tapping sets, drill press, and possibly other fabrication equipment. That should be completed next week but the price is not finalized as we average the shipping costs.

12-ton cylinder hydraulic press, 4x7" platens, 1200 watts, no pump is included. Sale price should be under $700.

We are also looking at some accessories to help with post-processing, and quick access to vaporization. I am still waiting to hear on the cold plate @gunmetalshark . I know this has been discussed for quite a while, these new driptech units had taken priority.

So, if I understand you right, we will be able to purchase the press and pump together soon? Because that is what I am waiting for. I know I can order the pump from the uk, but I have had such a great service from dabpress that I prefer ordering everything from @dabpress.com.

And then, we might apply the 5% code for both items? Or are you going to do a bundle price in some way?

So, as soon as the pumps are available at @dabpress.com I will put in my order!

Yes in under a months time we'll see the pump w/gauge for sale. I feel like the bundle makes the most sense since the rosineer won't have to source their own. The bundle likely will be better than 5% discount is my guess. More cart items and the DP5 code ends up being the way to go.

personaly, i really appreciate having a gauge - perhaps just for peace of mind but i feel like it helps with consistent presses.

Still loving the results and just don t have too much to post because "it just works" :-)

I am looking forward to try pressing some new strains in the next couple of days and am excited how these will behave and yield. I am still at 220°F as standard temp and have the impression that this is necessary to get good yields - interesting that some people can get so much lower.

I am interested in Jar tech and generally post processing of my Rosin - any good advice? Some people just put a glas container on the lower Plate of the Press - some insight on temp + time?

Have a great day, i look forward to testdrive my new Terp Pen this evening :D

I really haven't seen much difference in yield from 180F to 210F ... just changes consistency of final product for me for the most part ... this is of course strain dependent.

I average about 5% less yield at 185F vs 200F.

Never used a gauge, but I average within 1-2% when pressing the same material so my process feels pretty consistent.

220 is still a good temp for flower and seems to consistently get most of the juice out.

Honestly I probably wouldn't mess with jar tech too much with flower rosin, worth trying if you have hash to press though.

Are you guys going to make an all in one 10 ton kit?

Unfortunately no. We had built a prototype and it failed in stress testing so we are going to offer a 12-ton cylinder press (no pump included) and we will have the pump with gauge available to purchase along with the press. Those should be available sometime in the end of this month or early next. Thanks for your inquiry!

hi psychonaut

so after doing some presaing last week i saw my after press puck was 1.5 inches. based in the formula u have given us i realize only need to use 1000 psi at gauge to hit roughly 1200 at the puck. so yeah, i get i was using way to much, about 2 to 2.5 times more then i needed.

last questio . i have been searching online but cannot find a video or article on how to read the pressure gauge.

mine ia the strongway pump..of i go by the red hasehes at 500 each, it doesnt seem to match up unless i count the first red hash that the needle is always resting at

any info or links for me to better understand if i am reading it right?

my only thoughts are count the first red hash as 500 and then each next is 500

OR

u do not cpunt the first red hash and the other ones are.more around 650 each.

hope this makes sense and thanks in advanc .

gotta say again i really love this pres . will be interesting this weekend when i press again and use the right amount of pressur .

Great, I think you will enjoy using less pressure. Be sure to compress the puck very slowly prior to applying the actual desired PSI to allow the resin to begin melting and preheat your puck.

2drzygj.jpg

The strongway gauge is really not very good resolution for the pump as it reads up to 14500 PSI but the pump max operating PSI is just under 9000 PSI. Since most of my pucks I need to use around 1000 PSI on the puck, I always shoot for just below the 2nd mark (mid-way between 0 and 2500) which I read as 1250 PSI.

For pressing larger loads, this gauge is actually not bad as you'll be applying 5-6k PSI or however many that's needed for the run, but for smaller amounts, especially for hash I think a proper gauge that has a resolution of 0-10000 PSI is a better option.

The gauge can be replaced, though I am sure it would void the warranty.

awesome. thanks psychonaut. why i wanted to check cause figured if i didnt id prolly still use the wrong amoun .

changing it would be nice, but if i screw it up out a pum . i dont think it will be to hard for me to be in the ball park. im using the 2 x 4 bags now with the alumnium press for 3.5 to 7 g loads.

should be easy to shoot forna little under the halfway mark.

thanks again!

This was a new one for me. Skunk #1 auto broad leaf pheno, flower mid's 4wk cured, 60% RH stable, Pressed 3.5g in 160u 2" wide filter with pm30r puck maker with 1500 PSI max on the bag @ 200F for 2 mins (including 30 second slow compress/puck warmup). Buddered instantly, 0 flow, 11% yield. I'm sure there was a fair bit of meds crystalized and stuck in the filter. Yields will only go up from here. This is a wax consistency like what you'd find in a dispensary in cubes. When I open the jar it stinks up the whole room :D Next effort on this new material 220F like I should have done to begin with

So, I just wanted to publicly extend my thanks to @psychonaut and Roger @dabpress.com. After the refurb unit I tried to purchase didn't work out, they went out of their way to figure out something that worked for both of us. I already talk up Dabpress products as much as possible and it's just incredible to me that they have the level of customer service they do, combined with the value of their product. In my experience, it's often one or the other. Anyway, huge thanks guys, can't wait to try this beast out.

I present my (still sort of work in progress) rosin station, featuring the new 10-ton press!

Happy weekend FC!

As many of you know FC has been a big part of Dabpress's success. Out of all the forums and social medias around, many of our potential customers lurk FC or end up on FC for the solid information on all sorts of products, as our members are good at picking apart the products and drawing fair conclusions. As we are also active in that part of that process, we have made adjustments and modifications to our products and finally delivering updated revisions carefully thought out and tested. Simply put, FC has been a real benefit for dabpress.

All that being said, FC has many dabpress friends and customers. We wanna extend our gratitude to the FC community and offer some big ticket giveaways!

Right now we are looking through the contest rules and working on a few contests. It looks like FC has some tiered contest areas restricted by trophy points rewarded to individual members based on their participation and milestones achieved on FC. My initial thought is that the highest ticket item will be eligible for the most trophy rewarded members, while the lowest item will be less restricted. In other words, if you are a new FC member and wanna get in on the high ticket items, you'll need to become more famous around FC =)

We hope to start up the contests in the next week or so as we work with the admins here on FC.

Thank YOU ALL for your continued support and interest in our products, we won't soon forget you
