Arizer Solo II

Truthfully, I think the benefit over the mighty is more the glass vapor path, and simple cleaning. (I don’t have a mighty but I do hear it’s harder to clean)
I have a PLENTY and like it?.
A SOLO is bit taster than some of the other’s?

The glass stem make’s it taste much more desirable!
I’m just saying 4-me?

@Gorillaz7 most of my tribe smoke JOINT’s?

Its far off topic. But many folks think the dynavap is the most joint-like vaping experience.
They like my Dynavap but refilling and stirring turns away potential fuck combutioneers that's why I am looking for the best portable vape!!! And the Arizer Solo ll, The Crafty and the Mighty always appear on top in all the reviews I have read!!

Can someone tell me where the Solo ll is made, I made up my mind in getting a Mighty, but the Solo ll caught my attention, but I want to know where is made, help me out!
Made in China

Well they seem to think they're making them in Canada......Waterloo to be specific?

While I'm sure at least some parts come from China (what doesn't these days?), many of their products clearly say "Assembled in Canada"? And IMO that's the part that really counts? From a legal POV that's what counts?

Aside from 'China only makes cheap/dangerous stuff' I'm not sure what difference it makes. Solo is an extremely respected and well respected product. Much more so than typical vapes? IMO you can buy with confidence.

Well made in China designed and supported in Canada. Awesome device !

Well made for sure, but is anyone really sure they aren't assembled (and tested) in Canada? That is the 'assembled in Canada' claim only for some models or an up front fib? FWIW all the units from China seem counterfeit in obvious areas unlike many vapes made in China.

However it gets in the box, top notch kit as the Brits would say. Everyone should have one or a very very good excuse why not........

I just had curiousity to know where is made, since my next vape related purchase is going to be my "last one" , I have been loking for the best vape out there! American or European engelineering the better! Of course if I can get a good deal in a Solo ll, I might get one, I hope there is some kind of 4 July sale in the future!

Just as the box says:

"Designed in Canada. Made in China."
Yes, this is the case (literally). Since the "© 2018 Arizer" to be specific on the labelling. On customs forms this is also indicated that the devices are made in China and they are subject to the tariffs imposed on Chinese goods by the Trump administration for goods Made in China upon entry into the US.

I don't want to change topic, but something bothers me. Clearly, there are a lot of articles about how vapes are covered by the tariffs. (I'm not going to the original docs on this one. Tariffs combine all the enjoyment of accounting, law and economics all rolled up into one.) With the second raise, the tariff should be 25% on the vape.

Who's eating it?

I didn't when I bought mine a few weeks ago. It seemed I bought it at a competitive price and have followed pricing on the vape long enough to know there has not been a big jump due to the tariffs. I recognize a new-ish vape has a premium on price that will tend to go down over time and the normal life-span decrease may account for the tariff raising the price. But, at some point, on some vape, someone has to eat the tariff.

I'm a free trader and default against tariffs. The China issue is pretty complex as it seems the U.S. might actually have some fair complaints on trade and only has a few options to "fix" them. My theory of the world would have seen a spike in prices and I'm wondering why not as yet. Are people just trying to hold back the pain of tariffs from consumers in the hope this is a short-term issue? Or, is who pays FAR more hidden in the system?

Who’s going to eat the tarrifs? We are. Eventually.
Stoopid drumph fuck.

Then, why is the usual first response to tariffs to put a tariff on the issuing country? Is it a contest to see who can punch themselves in the face the hardest?

(Don't get me wrong, I get the economic argument. It's just that it's...more subtle than one might think.)

Stay tuned to pricing in coming weeks. We've eaten it, as a business entity already. The tariff is assessed at the port of entry by whoever is handling the customs brokerage on the shipment.

I think it's worth remembering that while a tariff is an increase in cost, it's done at the wholesale (import) level typically. If the 'cost from China is say 30% of retail, and we have a 25% increase in that cost the actual retail is increased much less. Say 7%?

But just to keep it complex, each guy after that point in the chain doesn't look at it as a dollar increase, they still expect to make say 35% profit on the newer, improved cost. They want their margins in percent, not dollars.

In the end we end up paying more, of course (always is?), even the tax man makes more on the final sale. A natural way this is compensated is shifting more of the process within the border. Like is done with 'German' cars? Makers will want to establish warehouses here so they can import at the lowest possible value?

One thing sure, it won't make prices go down........ Buy more vapes now?

I think the same thing that's why I am trying to avoid buying from China because they do steal patents and else.

Feeling The Bern 2020!
