@PlanetVape, I didn't doubt about your honesty and I also trust the opinion of the well known members here.
But those reviews are sooooo bad it made me uncomfortable and I couldn't resist to share my feelings.
I don't even understand why you put one of them on your website. The "reviewer" keep talking about "smoking" the load and the "smoke" that comes out of the device. Seeing the cloud of his first hit I think he possibly combusted though (not good) and looking at his face he seems in real pain hitting the thing.
For me it's not at all good publicity for the device.

I didn't know that the commission system was kind of systematic, so thank you for the explanation, I now understand better this part.

Thank you also for having kind of answered my question about the use of the fury dosing capsules.

I hope the ambit will be available soon in Europe!

This WPA issue is gonna bite them in the butt. I know I certainly expected one when ordering given the rather explicit statement of inclusion on their website. They're gonna have to make this right. If they change the wording on their site, they should honor any orders up to that point with a free WPA. They would be wise to include it when shipping the main unit to avoid further losses on their end.

edit: Just looked up the price of the WPA and $9 is very fair. Not gonna raise a big stink about it at this price point, but they need to be careful about this sort of thing because it is consequential. I see they've added a bit of clarity to their webpage, but they haven't changed the original confusing wording.

Think I'm gonna hold off on ordering for now. After much thought I'm getting more and more skeptical of this vape. A lot of the reviews talk about it running hot and combusting at temps that definitely should not be causing that. I can't find anything about whether the chamber is stainless steel or aluminium which could be the cause of the overheating if it's the latter. The company has went radio silent for a week now not answering phones or emails. The novice reviewers they sent them to who have no idea about vapourising and the one guy that kind of did know about them gave it mixed reviews and confirmed it combusted his material. There's just too many red flags. I'm gonna wait a couple of weeks see what the news is and if it's negative I might have to just spend double and go for a fury 2 even though I like the design of the ambit a lot more.

The bottom notation “Sold Separately as Accessory” is new, was not there previously.

A WPA is an essential “accessory”, well worth the selling price.

The little unit is well worth having, and at its price point, well affordable.

As for the issue of possibly overheating, it may actually be running
Cooler than the display indicates. YMMV

In all the sessions I’ve used my unit. Over 100 at least. Never had an issue of overheating. Had a little bit of hot spots at 215C. But I rarely go that high.

Donno what your question was about the Fury dosing capsules, I suggested to Vivant
That AMBIT dosing capsules should be sold as as accessory, especially for micro dosing.

BTW, yes, Fury dosing capsules “dose” fit in my beta EDC AMBIT.:spliff:

I’d rather doubt about trying this vape.
I’ve seen they are calling this 1500mah battery to last 10 sessions!!!!
10 convection sessions of a 1500mah battery!!!
Really???? Show me a video of that right now please.

I have been getting just about 10 full sessions on a full charge. I would assume that the higher the temperature the less sessions you will receive. I’ve tested this on several accounts and my go to vaping temperature on this device is 170C and that is where I’ve managed to get just about 10 full sessions. Also remember a session is only 2 minutes as that’s what the shut off timer is set to. I have not tested how many bowls at higher temperatures as I rarely vape that high unless I’m out drinking and wanna get this real quick punch to the head high.

It’s also actually a hybrid vape, right? I know manufacturers love to throw the word “convection” around for vapes that are only partially convection.

Yes it is a hybrid. Side of the bowls do get warm. It’s like a crafty if you need to think of it like that.

Has anyone's shipped yet? Ordered mine on Tuesday when it was still in 'preorder' I guess and there hasn't been any updates.

I can livestream vaping it full battery to dead. Now length of sessions vary, but do you consider 3 hits a bowl a session? I believe they mean 10 sessions as in heat up cycles. They are only 2 minutes long and if you're on a lower temp like 340F-380F I think you could probably get those 10.. 2 minute sessions. I know I could blacken a load in that 2 minutes as well. That level of extraction would take some vapes like Arizer's line 8 minutes to reach somewhat close of an extraction level.

I ordered mine Wednesday and it has appeared in my USPS informed delivery although I've received no notice from Vivant. Says it delivers Monday. It ships out of Costa Mesa, CA.

Wondering if the Ambit WPA is sold separately as accessory, how does one
Put in the cart to purchase in one fell swoop, instead of ordering separately. Later.

If the option is open in ordering the AMBIT initially, it would save on time, posting,
And added cost for the additional mailing. And time. :2c:

We have more detailed information to share about the Ambit.

@Copacetic you had asked about the construction of the Ambit:
  • Body is Metal not plastic and has a nice rubberized coating for good grip
  • Air path is through Metal path not plastic
  • Mouthpiece is made from both PPSU and PEEK. Mouthpiece is PPSU and close to the chamber PEEK is used
  • Heater is made of – KANTHAL (KTR), the same material used in many atomizers and e-juice vapes

The bottom notation “Sold Separately as Accessory” is new, was not there previously.
We contacted Vivant to let them know about the confusing wording in their description. Looks like they added the clarification but still didn't change the original incorrect wording. We will remind them again.

We will include WPA's for free with all our Ambit pre-orders as long as the WPA's arrive with the same shipment as the Ambits. The Ambit description on our website doesn't have the confusing wording.

The Ambit doesn't overheat. In fact we like the high temps the Ambit is able to reach. Too many vapes (Arizer) don't get hot enough for medical users who need the pain relieving effects from the higher temp compounds. So many portables are only able to achieve a brown ABV even after a lengthy session of sucking on it forever, leaving a lot still unvaped and leaving your throat dry and parched from inhaling such a high volume of heated air. If you don't want to turn your ABV black, then just turn down the temp, pretty simple solution. However for those true medical patients that need relief NOW or to prevent nausea from coming quickly, the Ambit is perfect due to its fast heat-up, sheer power, very strong effects and ability to let the user choose how far they want to take the vaping of their material. Thumbs up from us for creating a portable that puts the user in full control instead of safeguarding it against users who don't know how to work a temperature dial. :2c:

@Momor We ship to Europe :)

My beta doesn’t go past 215C if I recall correctly.
Our pre-production Ambit goes to 230C

Cheers All,

I received my Ambit today! So far so good. This little thing does push out clouds! I'm thoroughly medicated from one session. Took a bit to burn off the material smell before use.

Funny that even the manual has instructions on using the "INCLUDED" WPA. They must have changed their plans but it's gonna have people thinking something's missing in their package.

@Vivant and @PlanetVape......I wonder if Vivant will have firmware updates for the Ambit like they did with the Alternate.... also is the 2 min time the max we can set it too? One of the reasons I gave away the vleaf was because I found 2 mins was too short for a session.... hopefully 3 mins could be added

After the 2 min is up you simply have to hold the button down for 3 sec and it continues for another 2 min

Yeah having it say the WPA is included in the manual isn't good. Great that some Ambits are already shipping. We are jealous.

Firmware updates were not mentioned in any specs we received, but you never know if in future firmware updates will be available. The 2 minute session timer actually grew on us. The Ambit packs a punch that probably most users will be done in the 2 minutes. After 2 minutes only the heater shuts off and all you need to do is long press the power button and you get another 2 minutes. The Vleaf with its single button operation and the button on the bottom is definitely not as user friendly as the Ambit.
