Cheap High Quality Bubbler

If I understand correctly a Seed of Life perc, originally created by MotherShip, is a cylindrical perc with "flower" patterns cut out of the top or the sides. The MS ones are supposedly laser cut. I have my doubts that CCG or anyone else is doing them that way. ;) The RCs don't use a seed of life perc.

Here are a few examples...

For any vape, I would recommend the Rattle Can, the Straight fab is really only for dabbing IMO. I find the Straight Fab too restrictive for most vapes.:2c:

Not from my experience with the 8" CCG Straight Fab with the SOL perc... It performs just as well as my FC-710 Diffusion Pump (same perc as an RC but with a different body) when it comes to draw resistance (perfect for vapcaps with ddavemods water wand v2 stem) and flavor retention. It is also slightly easier to clean than the FC-710.

My RC from PopularGlass is arriving this week... Can't wait to compare how it performs vs the 8" CCG Straight Fab and FC-710 Diffusion Pump which are my current favorites for using with vapcaps right now.

You guys have corrupted me! :) I ordered a couple of different, cheap bubblers on eBay from Chinese sellers. The first one just came yesterday - it’s a Toro double arm tree knockoff and arrived exactly two weeks to the U.S. east coast. I paid $39 - they’re a little cheaper at DHgate but I wanted to use my PayPal account.

It arrived in one piece, doesn’t leak and looks nice. I like the size and weight, it’s 11” w/18.8mm joint. The hits are very smooth, seem stronger, and I’m actually getting more flavor than my single matrix sidecar gives. I know a lot of these things are a crapshoot, but I'm really enjoying this piece.

I’m using it with an e-nano and Vapcap.

My brain is still on the straight fab, the 8/9 inch version.
The perc action is definitely better of the CCG version than Steven's version and the SOL perc seems to allow more water above it without splashing out the mouth piece than the perc Steven is using (at least it looks that way). That should be better cooling.
The CCG version is more than twice as much...

I have several of Steven's pieces with that style perc as well as several CCG pieces with FOL percs - including the 9" straight fab. To me, they are virtually the same. If $$$ are not an issue then get the CCG, but at half the price, Steven's pieces are a great value and you could get 2!

Yeah, if I can't find the CCG piece on a decent sale when I am ready to part with the $ I will probably pick up Steven's version.

When I used to spend more time in here it seemed to me that CCG prices were more in line with Steven and Sunshine others. When did that change?

hey everyone, I love this thread.

I have a few pieces I'll show off soon but they need to be cleaned first haha :o

In the meantime I was wondering if anyone here knew of a precooler or ashcatcher (whateva you wanna call it) that has a very low GonG insert?
This is kind of what I mean, but I would like it even lower.

The use will be for my whip-setup with the Arizer Air 2, mainly.
I am going to make a small wooden base, to prevent tipping, and which can hold the glass securely. The lower the entire thing/axis is, the less prone to tipping over it should be (I'm no physicist).

Currently I use this "JellyJoker" preecooler, it's nothing special and I've seen variations of it on DHGate.

The Larger piece is a Blaze Glass "Twister" Honeycomb recycler, it's a knock off RET but pretty well done. About 100$.
Sorry for the filth, and have a nice day!

I noticed the prices go up significantly when they started to get more of a following on social media, and after they threw a SOL/FOL perc in everything they did. they send pieces to lots of the “weedtubers” “influencers”. Same shit Beta, diamond, shesh supply, pulse, lookah, etc (all basically DHG imports, not usually even proprietary ones like CCG or TAG) they lie and clams to be American and charge INSANE prices. I doubt CCG will ever claim to be American but that seems to be the marketing strategy they use. I’ve seen CCG SOL pieces at sooo many headshops lately without the logos being sold as American blown pieces... that’s obviously on the retailer not CCG but still it goes to show you how uninformed the average consumer is in this industry which means CCG will probably continue to slowly raise prices now that they have a following

CCG might be a bit dearer than Popular glass as their quality control seems better. I quite often have problems with Stevenimz glass that quite frankly should not have been sent, quite visibly wrong, this does not happen with my CCG purchases.:2c:
That being said, Stevenimz always fixes the problem by sending me a new piece and telling me to keep the bad one(for a dodgy spare to get you out of trouble when you finally break the good glass):myday:

My Rattle Can is...not right. Look how low the mouthpiece stem is mounted to the body, it's nearly an inch too low. I have to hold it at an angle to keep water out of my mouth. And they're hassling me about it, saying it's 'handmade' and this is an acceptable variation. Now they're asking for a video. Very disappointing piece and service from stevenlmz79.

It dose look a little low..... But you water level is too high as well. Tbh im a dry vapour and it looks nice , So It would not bother me in slightest.

Shame thou

Water level looks correct, if anything it is a bit low...close to the top of where the 45-degree cut is the correct level and is meant to reduce the air volume of the rig .

edit; so yes, a bit more water will make matters worse as far as getting water on the lips

@Moses Baca it does appear your RC is defective, the mouthpiece does appear to be mounted low on the body. I just got mine today and am posting the pics below.

Here is my brief review of the RC... I have just tried it with an empty vapcap to see if the diffusion works well and also to get an idea how it compares with the FC-710 which is one of two most favored china glass bubblers... The other being the 8" CCG Straight Fab.

ePacket box... This is the best packaging I have gotten from DHGate so far... Carton box outer shell, a styrofoam inner shell, and finally two layers of bubble packs protecting the piece.

The Rattle Can compared to the 8" CCG Straight Fab and FC-710...

RC01.jpg

The build quality is pretty good... not perfect by all means. There are bubbles on the joints but those are also present in my other pieces. The glass is relatively thick although I would have preferred a thicker support for the 18mm intake joint... The support is not uniform in thickness and thins out as it attaches to the body. Overall however, construction is pretty good for the price. I will give a more detailed review of its performance in comparison to my other bubblers once I use it with herb.

In my preliminary test of the mechanics (especially how the ball behaves), I just filled the RC with water as in the pic. At this level, the ball/valve action works well, just like my FC-710. It does appear to need more water than the FC-710 to perform as designed. The FC-710 can handle less water with the rattler still working fine.
