I just use the washers, best glass adapter I have ever used. I also put hookah grommets in all my 14mm joints. Doc

Cool tips, thanks. What style hookah grommets do you use for the 14mm joints? They list several styles of grommets for hookahs.

Hey everyone. Been Lurking for a while and Somewhat new dynavap owner(2019m) and was hoping to get some help on here with any tricks or tips you have on using this bad boy. I was also hoping to upgrade the body to a dark wood one with a spinning mouthpiece(if anyone could offer some advice on how or where to get it from) thanks :)

For tips on using your VapCap see my signature at the bottom of this post for links to information. As well there is a VapCap Best of thread that is worth reading and it's only two pages long. Here is the link to it.

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/best-of-dynavap-vapcap.24345/

To convert your M into a Vapcap with a wood midsection and a spinning mp, you have a few choices.

Midsections come in two lengths; 45mm BODIES and 62mm STEMS. Spinning mouthpieces are 17mms long.

Your M stainless steel midsection is a stem and it is 62mm long. If you remove the M stem you can replace it with:

A 45mm BODY and a 17mm mp. These two pieces will fit onto an M condenser as a regular condenser will accommodate a 62mm configuration.

If you prefer an XL length Vapacap which is 4.25 inches long, you'll need to buy an XL condenser. An XL condenser accommodate a 79mm configuration. So a 62mm STEM plus a 17mm mp will fit onto it.

These parts are available at the Dynavap website.

thanks for taking the time to reply. i have one more question to whoever is willing to answer. I was thinking about it, and for the crumbly concentrates I have, I would probably be better off just sandwiching it between some flower and using the designated screen instead. Im wondering what people's experiences have been like when mixing concentrates and flower in the Vapcap...
You can sandwich herb and concentrate together but the flower will vape first as concentrate requires a higher temp. Another option is to place your concentrate on a tiny bit of hemp fiber or organic cotton.

Have you ever tried once it clicks you put it to your mouth and start inhaling then you pull off the cap and inhale hard it's same sensation as releasing a carb you get a rush if air and inhale all the vapour in one hit.

I love this method and I feel it gets me more medicated but I don't know if I am diluting any vapour doing it by that I mean wasting some.

If you try this the cap is very hot do not handle with bare hands. I've only tried it tonight a few times and put my hand over my sleeve to pull the cap off but if became a regular thing I'd get use some pliers.

it's much easier to just remove the vapcap from your mouth or the glass piece you're using. The amount of vapour in the vapcap will be so little that it's not a considerable waste. Plus it avoids burning your fangers and spilling your load on the ground.

If you were really worried about waste you could lift off the carb a spit second before you pull it away from your mouth. This would clear the vapcap from the stem down, and also the tip somewhat through the venturi effect.

So just wanted to do a brief update of my @Pipes caldron I got Monday. It's actually way smaller than I thought. Shorter than a big lighter. I was under the imoression it was bigfer because I thought the mag on top was about the same size as a dyna mag but to my pleasant suprise it was smaller, About the size if the tip of a cap. On a ti tip in getting 10 second heat up times and perfectly toast a ti bowl in the smallest setting ( my micro) and on a stainless packed full, im getting 12 to 13 second heat times with 2 to 3 repasses I dont go too dark. Really digging it. It's compact and is becoming routine. Havent touched my lighter at home since. Absolutely gonna save on butane. Super pleased with everything. Still gotta spin while I'm out but thats ok. Got 2 classy xls for going out. All thanks to my tips from @danielj. Also arrived Monday. made both my shadow and light nonavong into xls and are so much nicer w these custom grooves. And the acetl has a super soft feel! I'll get pics up soon. Also got to pop out dirty screens with the worry of mis seating the new ones with the awesome screen tool he made too. Even sent 5 bucks back in the package cause I over paid super cool and super thankful. Should be getting my test dummies out soon. I hope. Been getting out from work way later and havent got anywhere near the post office. Ok so a little less than brief. Lol appologize if none of the images open I tried...if u do get to any of them there should be others in there

You have come up with the VapCap steamroller!! Congrats.

A small magnet picker-upper would be useful for cap removal.

I recently purchased the “ice” stem for my e-nano, and was amazed by how well it cools the vapor for that device. I decided to try to DIY something similar for my other vapes.

I bought a bag of borosilicate “boiling stones” (6mm) from Amazon, added a few to my Pulsar taster that fits a dynavap tip, added a fat mouthpiece to hold them in. I’m still figuring out the right number of marbles to maximize cooling without making the draw too tight. But so far I’m liking this approach. Cools well, and will be dead simple to clean.

Funny, I use the Cyclone Vertigo as my travel, and pretty much all the time lighter. In fact the Vertigos have gotten me back into using my vapcaps pretty much every day.
Big fan of this lighter. I carry a couple in my computer bag, but nice and small for pocket carrying.
I'm assuming that the inner metal tube (I think it's called the condenser?) is the part that really helps to cool down the vapor before it reaches your mouth. I was thinking that the Omnivap XL would have the longest condenser and be made of superior titanium, so therefore... it would produce the coolest vapor hitting your mouth. :-)
17mm of condenser length will have little effect on temperature. The metal type can make a difference, with steel staying hot longer than Ti, but also being a little slower to heat. Air coming from the air port is the best way to cool a bare VC.
In truth the best way to cool your vapor at home is to use a Nonavong (or regular VC and an adapter) and a water piece. Water is the best way to cool vapor (or smoke for that matter). A Nonavong will slip right into a 14mm joint with no muss or fuss. I have been known to carry a small water piece like the D020 to a friends with a couple Nonavongs and a couple lighters for individual use, but at home I use my JarHead.

Man, I was 4 pages back and didn't even know it. I missed a post in this thread and it stopped letting me know there were new posts. Funny...

What I like about, String, you come up with new and novel ways to take the experience
Up a notch. Or two.

Been looking for teeny glass spheres, closest to tiny were the 0.6mm nail “caviar beads”. A little too
Tiny, hate to have have them extracted from my lungs (yes, I know, a screen).

6mm seems perfect for an 8mm ID glass stem.

TY!

So with my steamroller effect what i wondered was the cap staying on throughout the draw does it give more heat to the tip hence giving a bigger hit?

Otherwise pulling the cap off half way through a draw is the one. Vapour is cooler, you get the whole hit in one go, it goes direct to lung so u inhale the whole hit and it hits you way harder. Also the tip and cap cool down faster so session time is quicker.

My Hula Stems from @Sneaky Pete arrived a day early :tup::rockon:

https://www.sneakypetestore.com/col...la-stem-v2-for-dynavap?variant=23153572675665

I put my favorite ti tip and cap combo on the Ocean colored one, which I would call cobalt, and put my favorite SS tip and cap combo on the Appalachian Sunrise, which to me is a rusty orange color.

They are cool to look at, and as happens with glass, not identical.

If you've been looking to have a glass experience using the vapcap natively this is the best I've ever tried. The @DDave wands are fabulous in glass water pieces or j-hooks, and I have three at my beck and call 24/7, but I don't like the mouth feel enough to use them natively. And I think the larger diameter of the wands makes mouthpulls, my vapcap technique now, less effective.

These Hulas have a great mouth feel, and the nipples in the glass do cool the vapor. Quite a bit. And the results are outstanding. Mouthpulls yield great gobs of tasty vapor. And for me there's a sweet, clean taste to glass stems on any vape that enhance the experience for me. By a lot.

My favorite SS tip/cap combo worked even better than it did on its previous stem, and the Ti tip performed at least as well, if not a bit better, than it did on my Omni XL; that really surprised me.

These also reinforce the notion that the air inlet is really unnecessary if your approach to the vapcap is using mouthpulls.

My only con is there's only one size option; it's 2.5" long. I have big hands and I would love to see a 3" or tad longer version. There would be more breakage sure, but it might be worth it. That said, I'm sure I'll be getting used to these in no time at all. Cuz I'm going to use and abuse them over the weekend.

For $18 they're a great glass option for the vapcap.

Cheers, FCers
