@Pipes

If you might, please tell me what is the difference in practical application between the Home Supply and the 12.6V Charger for the Cauldron?

TIA!

Wow wee, I just got my Caldron. A day earlier than expected. Just plugged her in and ready to go. Started off with some BlackBerry Pie. After 4 to 5 heat cycles, everything looked evenly vaped. Another bowl, 5 cycles and now evenly vaped and pretty baked. Now for some CBD flower, Cherry Wine from Cloud N9NE. Thanks Troy from 420Vapezone. After lunch going to try out some Strawnana. I think I have a new best friend. Thanks Pipes. Now I have to get a long glass stem from Charlie Glass and I will be set.

There will be those who hate on me for saying this but instead of the glass Charlie, hit a local head shop and grab an OG Chillum glass stem. Bring a clean stainless steel or titanium tip to check and it should fit fine where you would normally pack the chamber on the end. I have both the long glass Charlie spiky stem as well as a 4in OG Chillum and honestly the chill is definitely better! Among other things it feels much safer in the hand versus the really fragile feeling of that glass Charlie stem. The first night I had the glass Charlie I broke one of the spikes up near the tip cleaning it with a little brush. LOL so now I have a long glass Charlie spiky stem.... with an "air port". lmao
Between the two, I personally think the OG Chillum is much better overall. The honey resin collection within its Glass Walls seems to be way better than the spiky stem putting the same amount of herb through each. Plus the OG Chillum cools The Vapor just as well as the spiky stem. If anything, I would say get or try both before you commit to one or the other. But given that that OG Chillum is like four or five dollars at most in most shops or online, as far as price goes it's almost a no-brainer. LMAO no offense Glass Charlie. LOL

Thanks for the tip, sounds good. I'm going to give that a try. I'm really liking this Caldron, so is everyone that tries it. My 80 year old mom wants to give it a try this weekend, lol. I get her baked and she always wants to cook something. Homemade Ravioli last time with meatballs, ha ha.

Checking in about a year after I bought my Jarhead and this this is absolutely amazing! 10/10 really awesome job Pipes

I have a tip, I'll add it here. I've found that it's best to heat the first 1-2 hits of a fresh trench with a lighter. This heats up the tip quickly and you can target where to apply the heat. In contrast the Jarhead heats up the tip much more evenly and also takes a bit to really get going (until the tip warms up enough). But after a couple of hits with the lighter it works perfectly in the Jarhead.

My IH arrived today! Very pleased with the Caldron so far. Tremendous performance and it takes a fraction of the time to heatup compared to my torch.

Hi all.

Is it possible to make an IH for a DV that would be powered by a 510 box mod?
I tried a long time ago but found too many obstacles to overcome. First one is getting a usable stable voltage as mods are a pulse modulated voltage and not a steady supply. Mods also depend on the resistance feedback which cannot be read until its activated and will not activate on the mods test pulses it sends for measuring.
Now if you go with a mechanical type mod, you're limited to 3.7-4.2 volts which is too low for using an IH with any decent results. Once your on this merry-go-round, you'll realize stapping a battery to it makes more sense.

This may have been asked but I cannot find it.

Anyone have a power supply that would allow me to safely use the Caldron in my car?

Or should I start saving for a PSM?
