Vaporizer for cbd oil

Sup folks. My sister asked me about recommendations for vaping cbd oil. She doesn't want to get high. I just vape flower (Arizer EQ shoutout) so I didn't know what to tell her. Portable unit would probably be best and definitely ease of use and reliability. Also I know it it isn't your bag, but any recommendations on a trusted cbd producer would be very much appreciated.

Stuff sold as “CBD Oil” is usually meant for sublingual use or just swallowing, not vaporizing, so make sure she checks that!

If she does get vaporizable CBD oil, there’s a good chance it’ll be in a cartridge. Otherwise CBD isolate crystals can be used in about anything that you can use other concentrates in.

Personally I use a VapCap with a Dynacoil or a FlowerPot for that kind of thing, but there are a lot of options I haven’t tried.

That makes sense. I was already going to mention the sublingual tinctures to her but also wanted to see what vape options were available. Also the cartridges are expensive, I thought a reusable setup with a wholesale cbd juice would be cheaper.

You probably can get that, I just don’t run into it around here. There are also CBD edibles, sprays, flower with minimal THC and high CBD, etc.

I get CBD isolate in slab-form, and break off little chunks that I either drop in a banger and take as a dab, or put a tiny chunk on top of a bowl of flower in one of my more efficient vaporizers.

She doesn't like dabbing, or torches at all. Shes a big scaredy cat . But the cost effectiveness of this is what we're looking for.

Edibles are even more expensive than juice.

Still going to recommend the tincture to her. If anyone has a recommendation for a juice vape or a cbd juice supplier that would still be appreciated.

Sounds like a box-mod and a Sai TAF atomizer may be your best bet then.

any of the pens in vape critic's review might work, assuming you can find CBD oil or wax where you are. as he says in the video, the sai makes bigger hits than the pens - comparable to dabbing. using a mod (the sai) also introduces more complexity (settings, software, etc.), so that may be a factor. puffitup is a good retailer; they have the linx hypnos for $78

https://www.puffitup.com/Linx-Hypnos-Zero-Kit-p/lnx.hyp-zero_kit.htm

and it's 15% off if you use the code PUFFEDUP (if I recall right). good luck.

If she really wants to economize, the cheapest way I've found is to buy isolate powder, which can be wrapped in a little bit of hemp fiber or ORGANIC cotton (NOT regular cotton or cotton balls) and vaped in your Arizer, a vapcap, or any device you use dry herb for.

I like broad spectrum CBD distillate pens and syringes. Thehempbarn is a good source.

I'm not a big fan of CBD isolate, or any pharmaceutical style isolated cannabinoid.

Isolate is the cheapest CBD option, sure, but it lacks hmm... everything else the plant provides. Adding CBD isolate to a flower bowl is different as you at least have the cannabinoid and terpene profile in the flower to round out the mix. By itself, I would suggest something a bit more full spectrum.

@Vibiojj83 was asking about vaping CBD oil and wanted to economize, and between oil and isolate I'd choose the latter, but then I'm paranoid about what's in most oil.

I agree that broad spectrum is potentially superior to single cannabinoids, but I think it's an empirical question, and different people have different responses. It's also not necessarily either/or, it can be both/and. For example, I find THC concentrates usually give me a more cerebral and subtle high and less tiredness afterwards than flower, but I love the broader high of flower too.

Speaking of which, @Vibiojj83, I just figured out that the Amnesia Haze flower from Black Tie that I bought over the intertubes is actually cheaper, milligram for milligram, than CBD isolate! For example, I got 7g for $40, which is 1.4g of CBD @ 20% CBD. (It gets even cheaper in larger quantities.) Gotta say, it's beautiful bud with a very nice effect.

Thanks @Plutonic, that's a really good find. The Isolate still comes in cheaper but for flower that's very attractive. So I'm going to recommend these things to her and see what she decides.

Isolate Powder www.fullyactivated.net 7 grams $125 (100%)
Tincture and Juice, both the in house stuff from Cbdvapejuice.net 1000mg $60 (100%)
Full spectrum tincture, also from fullyactivated 1200mg $85 (100%)
Flower Amnesia haze Blacktiecbd.net 7 grams $38 (20%)

I looked through a fuck ton of listings (except for flower, I hadn't thought of flower) and these are the cheapest I could find. They also happened to look the most reputable.

More in the ballpark of the other prices in your list, you could buy 1oz. of Amnesia Haze flower for $90, which would contain 5.67 grams of CBD @ 20% CBD. That's $16/gram, less than the $18/gram cost of the isolate powder you list.

If you are talking about making CBD oil it would be niave to believe that you can get 100% activation and even more naieve to believe that you will/can recover 100% of the cannabinoids.

When making a price comparison, remember getting the CBD from the flower will cost $$ even if you already have all the necessary utensils. You will need a solvent (ISO, ethanol, VG) of some type which will also cost money

That's true, but I would argue that a more complete CBD extract obtained from flower will be more medicinally effective than pure CBD isolate. For me, the cheapest option doesn't necessarily equate to the most cost effective one.

Absolutely. My only point was that CBD flower is remarkably price-competitive with concentrated forms. (I guess I shouldn't have been surprised by this, but I was.) And I assumed vaping the product as purchased would be the mode of ingestion (except maybe for tincture). So if CBD absorption from vaping flower was 89% efficient, Black Tie flower would be cost-neutral relative to the cheapest isolate that @Vibiojj83 found. Admittedly that would be pretty high efficiency, but let's say you believed it was important to use a full-spectrum product. (And you can't get more full spectrum than flower, right?) Again using @Vibiojj83's numbers (for fullyactivated's full spectrum tincture), and ignoring the fact that tincture is meant to be taken orally and that oral CBD ingestion is far less efficient than vaping, Black Tie's flower is cost-neutral relative to the tincture at 23% efficiency!

CBD isolate powder is +99% pure and when blended with MCT oil is very easy to accurately dose.

Totally agree @hans solo. If @Vibiojj83's sister needs to accurately, consistently dose, and she doesn't need or want full spectrum, isolate powder is a good way to go. I usually just skip the MCT oil and measure it out with an accurate scale for either vaping or sublingual. Another use I recently found is for repetitive strain injury in my arms. I smear the painful part of my arm with olive or MCT oil, then rub a pinch of CBD powder into it until it's dissolved. Amazingly quick and effective, and much cheaper than buying salve or tincture.

The best most nonsense type solution with CBD OIL is to use a cheap wax pen.

400mha battery or more.
If a mod is used 20 watts to start.

POD’s are a new thing?

Careful in selecting the correct connection.

Power Source?
Atomizer?

Function or Style?
Whatever floats your pool toy!
