Vivants newest Loose Leaf vaporizer is called the AMBIT. Should be releasing later this month. It features full digital temp control from 100C up to 230C which puts it in a small group of vapes able to get that hot which is especially useful for medical patients to extract all the higher temp cannabinoids from their herbs. The AMBIT uses both convection and conduction to provide very strong effects from the smallest form factor portable vape to date. With a nice rubberized finished, battery lasts 8-10 sessions which are each 2 minutes long, Max 75 minutes to charge from empty and haptic feedback.

Ambit uses a magnetic connection for its mouthpiece and its chamber, which provides you fast access for loading materials or to clean the chamber. The mouthpiece was made using the highest standard of food grade materials such as PEEK which will offer you a worry free vaping experience.

Digital display is on top making it easy to see battery charge remaining, set temperature and session time remaining.

We are really impressed with the performance out of such a small form factor. Did we mention it is small. Size is 68.3mm*27.9mm*54.8mm and it weighs only 93 grams. Retail is currently set at 79.95 USD. With Vivant's permission, we will post pictures very soon.

The Ambit has great potential and the small form factor, ease of use and strong effects will have you vaping in places you never considered before.

We are permitted to post one photo now and more closer to anticipated release date of June 11, 2019. Here is a photo showing how the mouthpiece opens and top display screen.

@Ramahs Think we might have jumped the gun a little out of excitement. Vivant will certainly be present in this thread once the Ambit gets released.

Any questions, please post and we will try to answer.

@PlanetVape, as imgur doesn't function correctly on FC anymore, use postimage.org, imgbb.com, tinypic.com or any pic hostingservice of your choosing. My votes for postimage.org because it's super easy to use & you can
upload multiple pics at one time. Directions on how-to is in the 2nd link below.

Can’t see the photo.

$80 USD. WOW!!!

Any news on release date?
Hi ginolicious,
Release date is currently set for June 11, 2019 but like any new product that date is subject to change. We switched the photo to postimage, let us know if you can see it now. When we have permission to post more photos we will take one using something as perspective so you can see how small the Ambit is.

@Summer Thank you so much for the info. We were wondering why imgur images showed up sometimes and then sometimes just seem to vanish. Took your advice and switched to postimage, thanks again for your help.

Hope everyone can see the Ambit photo now?

Pic still isn't showing for me.
The 'reply window work-around' still works fine for me though, but it's definitely not ideal, as many who may see your post may not be aware of it.
(Hit "reply" and you can see the image in the reply window)

As for the Ambit, looks pretty damn nice, and I'm very surprised by the size, and price.
What is the main body made from?

It seems that this part of the vape market just keeps getting better and better!

Eagerly await more deets

Hi Everyone,
Wow lots of questions, we will answer as best as we can and some of them we might have to ask Vivant engineers. The main body is a soft rubber coated plastic just like the Fenix Mini / Fury. Size is a little smaller than the Fenix Mini / Fury due to the mouthpiece not protruding up so high. It feels nice to the touch with a high quality feel. The mouthpiece is PEEK which is good news and the internal diagrams we have seen show a pretty straight through air path. The battery is internal 1500mAh and lasts about 8-10 two minute sessions with a Max 75 minute charge time from fully depleted. The Ambit is too small to fit an 18650 cell.

Heating chamber appears to be stainless steel with many micro perforations in the bottom for air flow and holds about the same as a Solo stem. Comparing to the Fenix Mini / Fury the chamber on the Ambit is just slightly a bigger diameter. It is a conduction / convection hybrid so flavor is on par with other similar designs but for some reason this little thing hits surprisingly hard! For 79.99 USD it seems like a fantastic deal.

@sickmanfraud We can do pre-orders when we have a solid release date for those interested. As always just use the contact us form on our website.

Is there a screen at the bottom of bowl that is removable to be cleaned? Will a concentrate pad be included or any water pipe adapters? Sorry for so many questions. This looks like a great unit. And what exactly is PEEK?

Thanks for those details
Not to be a pedant (well OK, this is somewhat pedantic) But arent the Fenix/Fury vapes actually metal with a rubberised coating?
Kirsite alloy or summat?
I confess I've never even handled one though, so I could be wrong I suppose.

I'm personally SOMEWHAT turned off by an all plastic vape, but if it's well out of the vapor path, I suppose it's not a surprise in a vape at $80.

It's probably FAR too early to be making a comment like this, but:
If the Ambit IS all plastic, maybe a slightly more expensive sister model could have a metal body?

Granted, internals are more important, but I cant help think a metal body would be better received.

Sheesh, I'm being a bit negative for someone who likes the look of it!

Air path looks like a crafty. The heater we don’t know what’s made of. But the actual bowl is metal though. So I don’t think it’s all plastic.

Yeah, I didn't mean it literally!

I meant all external plastic vs some plastic with a metal case.

I think for many, a 'safe' vapepath/airpath (eg s/s, Ti, ceramic, glass) in a plastic vape might suffice, especially at $80, but some like myself would definitely prefer as little plastic as possible (within reason).
If Vivant can achieve a metal case at $80 (as well as a 'safe' airpath) I'll be pretty surprised though, as I suspect I'm asking too much, even if the Fury et-al come close.

Vape does look very nicely designed though for a cheaper entry level vape. I’m curious as to the actual mouthpiece material of PEEK. I need to read up on that.

Lol. I was just legit reading that right before you posted that.

A lot of vapes have the plastic air path at the end of the day. This plastic seems to be of good quality I would think.

So nice to see this publicly announced!

I've been lucky enough to provide feedback on an early unit and was more than impressed by this deceptively little device. I am a long draw heavy hitter and I admittedly did not think this was going to deliver when I first saw it. I was so wrong!

Ambit has worked into my daily routine. It feels good in the hand and is wonderfully discreet when out and about. I've got it set at a temp that provides FULL extraction at the end of one [sometimes two] cycles. For me, I take approximately 4 draws, 30 seconds each during each cycle. Comes out evenly full brown.

It is BRILLIANT on the go and travels well, though I would not mind more cycles per charge. Mine is set at around 385, but I do think actual temps are closer to 400+ based on the color of ABV.

It hits HARD. Way harder than my Omnivap, vapor profile is really most comparable to my E-Nano at the right setting but Ambit does not require a stir.

I did not like its 120s "ON" timer at first, but it really grew on me. No more 10s draws. Rip as big as you want, it feels unlimited on the first drags. No learning curve here, just set it and forget it!

You can combust with this device at higher temps, but I've found at 383-385* it is nearly impossible (and I've tried hard). 385* will land you with fully extracted ABV that is dark after 1.5-2 cycles. While I think I've found the sweet spot, my temp may not be calibrated and your sweet spot may be a different number.

The device and chamber are solid, no real secret to packing but I just drop a loose grind in all the way to the top. The lids are great. The water pipe adapter is a snug fit into all my joints and the flip lid dry mouthpiece is okay... It does get warm, kinda like minivap's straw stem, but bearable for it delivers big rips!

The flip mouthpiece design can be disassembled and soaked for cleaning, but I would have loved to see all parts large enough to get a Qtip inside... you unfortunately cannot clean this mouthpiece with a Qtip.

For out and about, my omni does great with microdosing through the day. But I reach for the Ambit now when I am out and want a 120-second BLAST of heavy medication.

I also have a Ghost, but since Ambit's arrival I have actually been using the Ambit far more than the Ghost. Ambit has far less maintenance and fewer parts to service/clean. The only real service I do on the Ambit is to disassemble and ISO soak the mouthpiece about two or three times a week. Easy peasy.

Thank you Vivant for shattering my expectations!
I am looking forward to other's FC'er comments.

WOW
I had to reread your rundown three times to be sure I was reading it right!
Performance sounds exceptional for a cheap vape

I know you said you've been doing 30 second rips to great effect, but how does it perform with short rips, say, half that duration? (or even less!).
I'm used to the looong draws required by most convection vapes, but also really like short draws sometimes.

I also look forward to more reports
Thanks for filling us in!

We contacted Vivant to find out answers to some questions posted we aren't sue about and will update as soon as we find out.

Is there a screen at the bottom of bowl that is removable to be cleaned? Will a concentrate pad be included or any water pipe adapters? Sorry for so many questions. This looks like a great unit. And what exactly is PEEK?
The bowl is all one piece with a perforated bottom as the screen, just like so many other vapes like Fenix Mini. It is very easy to keep clean and we much prefer it to a hard to clean mesh screen. Even the mouthpiece screen is not mesh but instead the easy to clean perforated type. Initially there are no concentrate pads included, but pretty sure Linx Lava plates or S&B dosing cap pads will fit. There will be an optional magnetic water tool adapter available soon. PEEK is a very expensive high performance plastic that remains stable at high temps. You only usually see it used in pricier vapes like Cloud EVO, Mighty, Crafty etc.

Yeah, I didn't mean it literally!

We agree a safe air path is important, but with an isolated air path we would actually prefer a rubberized quality plastic housing to a rubberized metal one. Plastic is much lighter and Ambit is lighter than Fenix Mini / Fury, plastic doesn't dent and doesn't retain heat like metal. We asked Vivant to be sure what case is constructed out of.

@FlyingLow Thanks for the great user review. We didn't want to emphasize how hard it hits in case it was just our imagination or placebo effect because we like the Ambit so much. Great to see you have the same experience. Dare we say the Ambit is "Mighty" strong and uses way less herbs per bowl and for just 79.99. Not sure how this little guy performs so well but it just does. Magic Elves inside?
