I’m curious why you feel so strongly about this. What bout wooden stems like the Nomad’s or any of Ed’s many custom adapters? I’ve even seen another vape (The Milaana-looking “Lil Bud” which claims to fame is they have no glass) - These constitute nothing but wood in the vapor path and are mostly great at doing what they do (I have some Ed’s stems that work great, but can’t vouch for the LB)....although I do agree with your reservation of putting wood in contact with the super hot glass beads from a G43; that sounds like a no-go for me as I’m sure a fire would be started soon after (as we can see @Copacetic did clarify his true intention later on)

Apologies, I didn't mean to encourage a materials safety discussion, especially outside of the appropriate thread for that.
In fact I think the forum rules prohibit it.
All I would say myself, is that I personally have zero problem with naked wood stems etc (I own a fair few, some bought, some made by me), and like you would just avoid very high heat areas.
However I do respect that some others feel differently, and we might well expect to meet them here in a thread for an 'all glass, 'cept for a tiny bit of metal' vape!
Regardless of ones stance, I think we can agree that the G43 is exempt from this particular concern, unless we choose to use a wooden bong!
I think we're ok to discuss the flavour implications of a wood airpath, but again, not applicable to Buds vape (or even my proposed DIY 'remix').

Last I checked, they were somewhere around #200 (I think) and the list was over 350ish. If I had to guess I'd say there are at least 100 in line right now, but probably more. The main thread at VLF has regular updates from Bud and Hazel.

As I said in my post, my only intention is to make a single vape for myself.
I also explained that if I could afford to I'd certainly buy a G43, as it is obviously great value, and seems to be an awesome vape.
Sadly, for me ATM even buying the remaining materials I need to make the vape is a stretch (financially), so theres no way I'll get to try the G43 in the forseeable future unless I build one myself.
However, since I have no interest in creating any further bad feelings (again, apologies for those I have created) I'll cease to post here re' the project.

Hey man. I don’t think @VCBud or any of his G43 customers are offended in any way by your inquiries. If anything, more offensive replies following your inquiries were enough to tick people off. But in any case, it’s probably the best idea to check out Buds own forum for the very fastest response to your question.
Most manufacturers of vapes don’t have their very own discussion forum as a resource, but lucky for you, the G43 manufacturer also has his own vaporizer forum! I’m sure he checks this FC account every once in a while, but I bet he checks the activity on his own forum much more often. Also, not sure that Bud is trying to keep his “intellectual info” all that private. Unlike many other manufacturers Bud has also been very open about his G43 development. If you look hard enough in his site you will find the answers to all of your questions and maybe even more. Shoot, you might even find someone who can get you your missing materials for you....idk.
Lesson I learned here: if the manufacturer of that vape you’re interested about has his own forum, then probably the very best place to ask specifications questions about said vape is that very forum. You can likely get an answer from that very guy, instead of other cronies who don’t really know how to direct you and just want to use your inquiry to kick up some dust.

On topic, I introduced my buddy to the G43 last night and may have broken him. I loaded up a full bowl of Gilded Lime with a healthy scoop of kief, then sent him on his merry way. I had several already, so I wasn't really thinking about his tolerance levels. He was couch locked for nearly two hours!

The G43 is anything but a micro doser......unless you only take 1 medium draw. But what would be the point if you have to wait for such a long heat up?
But then again.....microdosing can mean many things to different people.........what is it to you?
Size of load?
Amount of draws?
How often you take a draw?

Good questions! I suppose I’m trying to determine that myself! It probably fluctuates with the device, but I generally relate it to the size of the load, and I think around a half a vapcap oven is a good place to start.
Ideally I like the little punch to the face of a rapid extraction like when I use my woodscent or my splinter-z. I don’t mind doing more of the low temp sipping sessions or anything but especially at night when I’m struggling to sleep I just find that a faster extraction tends to treat me better.
I know it’s not an efficient use of the G43 due to the longer heatup required to really soak up the heat, but I just enjoy the ritual of the G43 to want to let it hang in the wings. And I’ve been only running the g43 mainly on my rx300 which has the recommended sur.myevic firmware. I do have a vtc dual but I’ve got my tubo firmware loaded to it (for my tubo-x) and I haven’t quite figured out how to make the g43 run on the tubo.

Agreed. With the G43 you most likely to fill an entire bowl each time, than microdose
just because if possible it raises the chances a user would most likely using it with its entire bowl volume.

Ok...then if is how you want to use the G43....I super highly suggest you use it like I do... "Injector Style". This is when you use an adapter bowl like the elev8r bowls. You can make your own from a 18/14mm adapter with a good small bulge shape where the screen sits.
You will then be able to load a small amount.....and take sips off it.....turn off ....come back later to finish. It helps a lot for taste and getting vapor quickly with minimal draw time and draw strength. This can be very different if you use a J-hook or a good size glass rig with water for instance. With the J-hook you can get vapor very fast and get smaller draws as you can sense the vapor build up easier. But it comes at the cost of being not as smooth vapor as if you used a larger rig...or rig with water.
If you want to still use the stock loading method with the basket screen.....get one of the the health stones (10mm) and use that in the oven first..the your flower...then basket screen. This will allow a smaller load and smooth out the vapor somewhat...but comes at the cost of a bit more draw resistance.
With the injector style adapter bowl method....you get slightly less draw resistance from stock loading.
I should of asked you what glass piece you use with the G43?
I have loaded the stock way with half the chamber filled....it did not seem to be much of an issue as I recall....I do not remember it vaping with issues at all. But your mileage will vary here as per quality and condition of strain used.
But that is why I suggest to try a health stone or maybe a steal pad type to add as a space reducer in the bowl/slide.
A beautiful day to have some sessions with my, new to me, G43.
Cant say enough about what a great job @VCBud has done with it. Definitely the hardest hitting vape I have tried to date with amazing flavor, extraction and effect. Hitting the G through my big water pipe is as close to putting fire to herb as I have experienced vaping. I'm doing a 5-7 minute heat up at 10.5-11 watts, loading the herb and ripping the s!@t out of it!!!! Massive Clouds!!!!
I'm a complete idiot when it comes to mods so I was lucky to score one that was already set up by Bud so its just turn on, set watts, and go. I love the simplicity, and super excited to get the sled version when my #248, I think, comes up
